  • Both correct...the original melody is Noyon, and Gerre Hancock found it somewhere and arranged it for use at St. Thomas, 5th Avenue.

    That would be J. Noyon 1888-1962. Years ago I heard a recording of this piece done in the Cathedral in Mobile AL using timpani. Quite breathtaking!
