does anyone have anymore info about this event like impact speed, the construction of the housing complex? i would like to learn more about this to use as reference and my thoughts to the families of the crew and residents of that block:(
@BrandedDiamond don't worry these accidents happened in the past after every accident mistakes are learned and improvements are made flying is safe the probability of getting into a plane crash is like 1 in a million. Don't worry flying is safe.
Don't fly on flights with a small number of passengers, they tend to fall from the sky for "strange" reasons. A "Taesa" flight in which a family member of mine, one of eight, died when both engines of his passenger airplane exploded in mid air. First one, and as the plane started to head back to the airport, the other. The company was about to declare bankruptsy. I believe they brought it down on purpose. This happened in Mexico. The people investigationg these crashes are very corrupt.
@99percentatheist sorry for your loss. smaller companies are under even more pressure than bigger ones. their personnel usually gets paid far less than average in this business, which leads to bad working morale. and if they are some sort of charter airline they have to be very punctual. so their personnel is steadily under pressure and doesn't get paid well - not a good combination...
@99percentatheist ps: i would never fly with any company that is not european, northern american, australian, japanese, or chinese. all the others tend to not lift a finger, because "everything will be just fine..." now maybe somebody out there will call me a racist. but you know what? go fuck yourself
Israel isn't 'locked' into a 45-year conflict with militant terrorists -- The nation-state has been engaged in an outright illegal & immoral territorial war of conquest, invasion, occupation & genocide based on economic, mercenary and religious extremism interests, driven by despotic principles and a hateful, racist ideology that has turned victimization into an industry.
I agree with the post made about fitting cameras, so the crew can assess damage to engines & wings after explosions & fires. If the crew had known the extent of the damage in this case, they would never have tried a landing, but would have taken the plane out to sea and ditched it.
El al's pilots are the most trained pilots in the world...Elal employs only pilots that were 1st at air force so they very experienced with how 2 react fast 2 things.. fact shows thats the only crash ever happened to this airline.. god bless them on!
@123456tcp Eheh... I understand you admire the El Al's pilots, same way I admire the Portuguese (so far, there was 1 accident in our entire history and that was in Madeira more than 30 years ago - a dangerous runway, short and always windy. Anyway, I'm not saying you're wrong but how can it be that El Al employs ONLY pilots that were 1st at Air Force? There would NOT be enough pilots for all the airplanes!... And what about the others who finished 2nd, 3rd... (the majority) and so on?
@cc1sportingtorver - lol i wasnt saying that this is the only airline that has had 1 crash, just this movie is about El Al so i mentioned it, & about Air Force sure there will be enough, y not? the retired people from Israeli Air Force army r working by them..
The Israelis probably have the best pilots in the world, especially if they are flying an old stick and rudder 747. Even before I watched this episode, I didn't think pilot error was going to be the explanation.
@ChorltonBrook "So they can find the missing pin but not the missing black box?"
Erm... They did find the Flightdatarecorder, didn't they?
And remember: this is a docu, not a hollywood movie. Life is not always what You would expect.
What I am surprised of is, that there still are no cameras fit to airplanes, to give the pilots the possibility, to see the engines. Of course, that would not help at night, except they would install lights as well.
Holy Crap! I have seen so many air crash programs, but this particular crash is unbelievable, I cant imagine what the banker felt when he saw the 747 flying towards him
@TheSaadAhmed125 true true, but there must be a way. i mean i'd pay extra what... $500 - $1000 to have ejectors seats to sit on.. but not if i get sucked into the engines of course lol. i mean if aviation got this far i see no reason that ejectors seats in commercial airliner is impossible or not viable.
@00unknownmember00 pretty dumb to pay twice your ticket for an ejector, dont ya think? besides, you are more likely to get into an accident on your way to the airport than on the plane...
No sense in putting hot seats into an airliner. Their usual altitude during the cruising phase is something about 30.000 ft. Anyone ejected in that altitude must have special protective gear, or he would die from hypoxia combined with severe frost and lack of pressure. During climb and early approach airliners operate at speeds about 300 mph. Add to that G-forces during ejection and normal civilian clothes on passengers (no face sheet etc.). I doubt there would be huge number of survivors...
funny story but also tragic if you remember the time of the crash. Truth is worst than any other bullshit theory or fake investigation. No mention of what the flight was carrying of course not. Truth is the whole story is a closed box still.
@TequilaJoeID "The fucking israelis have dicks in their asses!"
Is it known to You, that You disqualify Yourself, by a statement like that?
I am no friend of the Israelis at all. But I want tell what I think about them here, because I don't want to start discussions about that topic in this film-comments.
But Your statement is non-matter-of-fact, but of the type of a drunk in a bar or of a boy.
@TheCrysisNoob first out of 16 to arrive there, not 1 out of 16. i'm sure 16 was all that is in range and could respond. also seems to be enough since they managed to put the fire out before it spread too much further.
@xxrevansblackopsxx Why would you want to let everyone know you get fukked...ah mean...to KNOW what that sounds like, you must be talking from first hand experience!!Ah suppose if yo comfortable with everyone knowin you take it up the Gary (Gary Glitter)...personally,ah think iss a bit too much info' for mah liking
