not bad at all, maybe at further distances the D90 is better. but for the rest I don't see a real difference.

D90 is a very different camera. The color rendition and latitude of the D90 are miles better than the DVX. The D90 just has a horrible codec and no manual controls. The saddest thing about the DVX100 is that the glass they used is really poor. It has color artifacts and back focus issues that can't be fixed. Where on the D90, you could put on a $30 still lens and it would be 10x better than the standard lens on the DVX.
