First ascent? I knew a caveman that used to sleep on that rock he climbed up the same way using vines for climbing shoes and that was millions of years ago.. :D
Great video captures that last stick emotion pretty great! I'm planning on going down to Cali sometime next year, always wanted to go to JTree. Is it the best area round? I climb around V8ish (hope to be stronger) there lots in that range?
Joshua tree is one of the best places to go trad climbing, if you want to bouldering and good sport climbing goto Bishop Ca, you will be presently surprised
@juiceeej Yeah i agree. staying on is a bitch!. It's been just over a year of work for me but i'm about a 3-inch hop from the jug~ You must be tall!!!

@b4oh Thanks for the post! I don't know anything bout Cali geography. I have friends I would be visiting there and was told it be close to JTree.
I am a sport climber primarily, but boulder as well. No trad (scares the crap out of me).
Will look more into it time of. I've heard good things bout Bishop from some here who have gone!

I got the start 2 year before I got the top. I think the crux is just staying on! Video got a late start.
