This movie is terrifying to me. It is the way the movie makes you care about the characters then leaves them to a horrible fate. Hit a little close to home for me. I admit; this movie probably helped me get clean. It is amazing to me what reality is capable of.

@justdid102 Don't worry, it's perfectly fine to blow some steam. You know, there is still hope. Out of an ocean of crappy films, some gems do appear. You just have to look for them. One film which truly blew me away lately was "The assasination of Jesse James by the coward Robert Ford". Yes, it did include Brad Pitt but he truly wasn't his pretty boy self in that one. The film is 3 hours long so be prepared for a fairly long ride but oh so worth it. The soundtrack was absolutely sublime.

Though only slightly consequential, how could this calibre of film gotten it so wrong? Your eyes constrict (get smaller) when using opiates, not dilate. That one mistake repeated over and over in this film bothered me. And, yes, I am a recovering opiate user...sling what you will at me.
