THANK YOU for posting this song...have been searching for it for decades! Used to hear it constantly on WDVE FM in Pgh...and at Peter's Pub at Univ of Pitt. Brings back so many great college memories!
Yes, I had this album on 8-track until it wore out. I originally heard the song on WROQ out of Charlotte North Carolina in the late 1970's when radio stations played a variety including progressive rock and jazz.. THANK YOU.

love all the posts, smokie bird 06 you are funny , Kshe 95 born and raised myself in the 70's Best music ever so glad to have been born in my favorite time for music:)another great tune !!!
Thanks so much for posting this. I have been looking for this. Saw these guys when they swung thru my college town in the late 70's. (Before MTV, you toured to support your music). Think they were with the Sanford Townsend Band (another 1 hit wonder). Crawler stole the show. Went right out and bought the album. Nice.
Dear fkngrvnmj, I love you man, these tunes from our youth are the greatest memories, and you putting them out here for all to hear is a gift. Thank You
In the late 70s, I smoked many a bowl listening to this great tune off of one hell of a debut album. So many wonderful memories from those days, the very best of my life. I was 19 in 1977, and I thought I had the world by the ass. A high paying welder/fitter job, nice apartment and a Kawasaki Z-1. My life has never been anywhere near as good as it was back then. God, I so miss the 1970s. Thanks much, fkngrvnmj, for uploading this oh so hard to find classic. You Rock.
One of the great rock 'n roll songs of all time and only 11,500 views. What a shame. Why more folks aren't aware of this song I'll never know. Their loss.
What a great experience these last 2 weeks have been, checking out forgotten classic performances by the likes of SRV, the Doobies, Rory Gallagher, even pop killers like, Bobby Fuller 4. Today, Les Dudek and 1 of the coolest all time songs, this gem by Crawler. Gotta go back to work 6/14. NO Youtube allowed there dammit! I got Youtube babe" all weekend to listen to & get stoned cold! Peace.
I have this LP from the 1970's and still play it on the turntable today .... awesome sound that cannot be duplicated by CD .... guess you had to be there ;)
There was a record shop just up the street from where I worked in NYC, the owner used to save all the promo LP's for me, this was one . . . Awesome cut!
I can remember making a mix-tape 25-some years ago which I called 'Night Shift' (vol 1) which consisted of tracks best suited for night-time driving, and this kicked off side one. Nuff said. Thanks so much for posting!!
AAAAAA!!!!!! *screaming with delight because I love this song* Thanks, FK-followed-by-a-bunch-of-other-letters, for posting this! The first time I did a YouTube search for Crawler (before you posted all this GREAT stuff), I didn't find diddly-squat on them--but I found a video called "Little Crawler" which was a home movie of a baby crawling. I went ahead and watched it, 'cause I love babies. It was so cute! I'm glad I finally found some stuff by the _band_ Crawler, though!
Thank you for posting this classic .. great story about the baby .. very cool .. those times that era alone puts a big smile on my face . so many great bands came out of the seventies and to many all nighters .. i will sleep when i am dead or where i pass out at for awhile ..LMAO .. good times were had by all .
I wish I could get this on cd. Been looking a long time. I used to have the album, but aint had any records around for along time. Love this song. Great memories here!
Finaly found it after 30 years. I haven't heard this song since high school. Appreciate you putting it online. BTW, did you like The Little River Band's "It's a Long Way There"?
