  • I do realise that this video is from 2008, but I must say. Great form, great determination. Good to see a true, old fashioned press done well for good weight and higher reps.

  • This IS THE BEST OVERHEAD PRESS VIDEO I HAVE EVER SEEN!!!!!

yhh the wrist wraps help reduce wrist pain by preventing it collapsing backwards, I use to get this pain because i thought the elbows were always suppose to be in front of bar when you initially lift it, so that meant my hands were flexed back beyond around 70 degrees. flexibility issue :(

  • SOHP is one of my fav lifts, gj man, very impressive. I just hit 225 for a max lol.

  • Absence of leg drive noted.

  • that is a very impressive lift dude. strong as fuck.

  • how do the straps help on this lift?

  • Good job.

  • stronger than the juiced guys lol

  • That's how i wanna move 225.

  • this is incredible man

  • Wow I can't imagine the pain my lower back would be in

  • Beast bro... Beast.

  • Great Video. I have been trying to get to 400 lbs with a strict overhead press. Any tips? I seem to be stuck around the 320lbs mark. I posted a video of me doing 315 for 2 reps... Good times!

Seriously your 225 look solid Bro!!

  • Great lift refreshing to see strict pressing. Keep up the solid work

  • good balance. my back would snap

  • you weak bro you need more roids

  • @goneFeral Oh yeah, the only way he could possibly be strong is by using steroids... strength doesn't come with several years of weightlifting or anything....

  • @goneFeral Lol said the computer geek. He's stronger than you'll ever be ;)

  • Bravo! Good press! What's your maximum in SOHP?

  • dude that was sincerely, one of the best form, speed, breathing, and POWER I have seen on youtube. big props my man, that is fucking heavy.

    unrelated question.. you a bodybuilder?

  • Nice!! Totally owned the plates and bar! I have one question... Why hook grip? I know it takes your forearms out of the equation. Is it just your preference. I'm not criticizing. I've never tried using hook grip for the OHP, but doesn't it feel less stable in your hands?

  • fucking beast dude

  • Fuck yeah that was awesome!!!

  • that is crap im 13 and i can do 350 perfectly at 200lbs and super incredibly cut.

the girls love to see me naked. :)

  • that's some serious strength, and such perfect form.

  • hard core! thumbs up!

  • this is simply amazing! how many times a week do you press? and with what intensity?

  • awesome form

  • Nice pressing!! Just getting close to the 200lb mark myself, but not for that many reps... I notice this was a while ago! What you pressing now?

  • very nice pressing there bro.

  • impressive

  • never been more impressed WTF! i never get impressed :O! aha

  • made it look effortless i struggle doing 7 reps with SOHP using half that weight

  • i think this is the best video on youtube of the OHP

  • holy hell

  • outstanding. finally someone who doesn't cheat with heavy press weight.

  • very, very, very good. this is probably the best pressing I've seen on youtube. I find this exercise particularly difficult because I find myself arching my back

  • I would say you need to strengthen the core.

  • probably my favorite press video

    really strong work man, amazing

  • That's strong praise, I appreciate it! I checked out your channel but didn't see any videos...? I liked your description about your lifting schedule though - and I agree about the Classic Press and deadlift.

  • yea for a person your size, you are lifting 225 so fast and easily it blew me the hell away. I had to watch the video again a few more times to see if what I was watching was real lol, especcially lifting the weight with such a great ROM starting at your color bone.

Yep, this is THE PRESS, the original press. The true test of upperbody strength.

  • nice form man. thats so tough to do without using hip/leg drive at the bottom.

  • solid.

  • Thanks K! And congratulations again on the baby!
