@rubb3rducky69 You can jailbreak your device by using a program called spirit. Go to spiritjb.com to download the program. It's a untethered jailbreak for iPad 3.2, iPhone 3.1.3 and iPod touch 3.1.3. It's not compatible with version 4.0 so do not update!!

you need to run blackra1n twice, and every time you need to turn it on, plug it in and run it again. to unlock download blacksn0w over wifi, do not download more than one installer/unlock at the same time. do them in separate intervals.

U guys have to USE the BLACKRA1N prog on ur pc EVERY time u will turn it on ! thats only how it works. and if u should download ROCK or CYDIA download ONE at a time or the iPhone or iTouch crash and u cant take it to the apple store for fix couse u have jailbroken it! they will just take it and give u a bill... ^^ (just some tips)

you're partially right. a restore gets rid of all jailbreak data. but you need to set up as new, and not restore from a backup, because they have tools such as xcode organizer which can report crash logs, and when you restore from a backup, it also restores crash logs. also jailbreak storage data will still be on there. and if you had a custom carrier logo and still see it after restore, then reset network settings and you should be fine.

ok at 2:12 this is what you gota do, you need to have 2 blackra1n programs open and run ONLY 1. When it gets to the plug it in thing start the second one and it should work. I had the same problem with my itouch 3.1.2 MC modle (-.-) which is pretty much the same thing. OH! and click X on the restore.

If you jailbreak your newer version Iphone 3gs ( say the last couple months) with Blackra1n RC3. If you (turn off, reboot or the battery dies) you will see the connect to Itunes Icon when you turn your phone back on and Itunes will tell you you need to restore. DO NOT RESTORE!!! all you need to do is re run Blackra1n rc3 and your phone will be retuned to its normal state with all your apps and info. This is what we must deal with for now

Tried to jailbreak it first attemtpt I got cydia on my iPhone 3gs ,downloaded winterboard right rebooted device , then it got stuck on that connect to iTunes thing I was pissed off!! you don't have to restore every time you boot or turn off you iphone ........the guys are working on it now and hopefully the will come up with something really soon ......all what you have to do once you reboot ( it will go to recovery mode ....it ok ) ....just run blackra1n again and make it rain .......and wait for 40 sec then it will go on .

Hi - I have a 3GS that is the new version - the warranty runs out Jan 11th 2011 - I have tried using blackra1n - All that happens is that the iPhone briefly shows the splash screen of blackra1n - and then just enters recovery mode - then I have to restore via itunes. I also have tried pwnage tool for mac - and that also just puts the iphone in recovery mode - then I have to restore through the official firmware through itunes. Anyone else else experiencing this?

Its true it is tethered and thats that, i had my iphone 3gs nicked in october after i brought the 3gs in july got a replacement at the end of october and got the shitty one that has blocked the old bootrom and they are not looking to update blackrain till they know whats coming out from apple in january or june/july whenever hoping the firmware stays the same as on the new 3.1.2 so they have everything ready to break the new device. It sucks but you can see where they are coming from.

Need help people....I've been able to jailbreak and unlock with blackra1n no problem. I got the 3GS Iphone from San Francisco in October 2009. However, every so often the signal goes out and it doesn't come back. I then restart the iphone and it gets stuck at the apple logo with the loading circle freezing, then starts over again, continues to do this. I've never seen the Iphone go straight into recovery mode like other people when I turn it on.

the only way you can unjailbreak it back to its original features is restoring it back with itunes 9.x. good luck

someone stole my old iphone 3gs last week so i had to buy the one with the new boot rom and it really SUCKS!!! oh, by the way guys, there's an app in Rock named "HiddenSMS Lite" do not install it!! it doesn't work, you have to pay for it, it can't be uninstalled, and it runs in the bckground and KILLS YOUR BATTERY LIFE VERY FAST!!!. even when phone is not in use
