  • A buddy of mine replaced my screen (I have the exact laptop as in the video) but the scaling is a bit wrong. At the top and left of the screen there are black bars, and at the bottom and right of the screen the display goes right to the edge and I can tell it's a bit cut off. I basically want to move the display up and to the right about 7 pixels and it should fit perfectly, any idea of how to do this?

  • @tds019 you may need to change screen resolution in your display settings

  • My screen is still bright as sin and still displays, it just jumps. It doesn't jump as soon as I start it up if it's been asleep for a while, but eventually it does start and it jumps 3 times in a row every 3 seconds. Should I look into replacing the entire screen?

  • I have a flickering screen, probably a loose or damaged screen cable. Could I use this guide to remove and replace the cord also?

  • @SoiceyKhidd the dv4 is known for screen problems most of which are due to the motherboard

  • can you tell me which screen you used for this laptop? possibly linking the website?

  • so if I have a white screen but my VGA and HDMI outputs still work, is it still a motherboard problem?

  • @rowan6489 yes, most likely it's a motherboard problem.

  • can you please tell me which screen i need for this laptop?

  • Great Video. Right now no dv4t screens are available in my place. Are any other screens compatible .. Please Reply!?

  • @raghunath1993 please email a photo of the back of your screen to wefixscreens(at)gmail(dot)com.
