I'm impressed by Connie's understanding what the movie is about. High Noon is biblical in it's message. Good and evil. Evil is for fools. Good takes courage but has honor. A life without honor is miserable. The gains from evil will never over shadow the gains of an honorable life. To forsake your honor for the treasures of this world is what "selling your soul" is about. Look today at how many would eagerly sell their honor for a few trinkets of gold. All fools. But Connie heard the message.

This is my favorite version of this song, over Tex Ritter and Frankie Laine. Connie could never do wrong. She can sing any song & make it hers. She's got the full range of the song, strong vocals when it's needed & then soft as can be. She's one of our world treasures and can sing in so many different languages. Still active today with her friend Neil Sedaka sharing concert billings throughout. She's had so many tragedies and thank god she's still with us, We will always love you Connie!!
