nope, you don't need underwater materia, and is not slow that method (9999 x 4 using demi + quadramagic and mime) 39996 x 3 = 119988 each turn (4 times 9999 = 39996) for each character... and yes, I tested it and it works very nice! (As you can know each weapon has a weakness... For example, you can paralyze ruby weapon). You can kill this monster in aprox. 10-15 mins... more or less like using knights and mime.

@3Dyler actually, in FFVII PS version, you can break the damage level with Vincent by using the DeathPenalty weapon to kill 65,535 monsters. This will make the damage level overflow and instantly kill anything even super bosses like Ruby and Emerald. But your right about this video being a hack.

The programmed maximum damage, in the game, is 32767 (because minus-digits are included in it).
There is a mod for FF7 (PC, Ultima Edition) that takes out the damage limit so that you can inflict as much as 32767 damage per each hit. Hero Drinks can be used to do more damage than what's possible at Strength of 255.
Also, the person, who recorded this, used another mod for making Cloud look different.

Well...the dmg that Cloud does is true...I´ve tried it myself, its like an addon that breaks the dmg barrier of 9.999...kinda like FF Crisis core, and the dmg so far that I´ve seen on my save file is about 50k per hit...but I only did it for fun^_^, I´ve already beat the game 6x, so its fun to experiment with this game ^_^

Everyone's all arguing over which one is better... The entire franchise is amazing (before X-2 that is...) but for me it goes
FF8, FFX, FF7. IMO 8 had an amzing story and I seem to be the only one who liked the Junction system. 10 had a fuck amazing story, stunning visuals and a perfect soundtrack. I dont like 9 at all though.... the characters are all like 10 years old and it just is too cartoony, plus the bosses are all hella weak.

When you kill over 65,535, the enemy int counter overflows and goes to a negative num (has to do with binary arithmetic and int bit size) and damage is negative.
The game doesn't know what to do, so it just kills the enemy.
Why square used signed int arithmetic for enemies killed and damage, I don't know.

I think he just putted 2 in front of every damage number and when you REALLY do some damage you can see the old number faiting in back of new damage so he only putted 2...

@lagorbian Hah it is annoying but I managed to capture 10 of them with Auron's celestial weapon becouse of it's First Strike ability , I changed him with Yuna and summoned Anima and beated malboro until it had low hp and then I just dismissed Anima and let Auron, Tidus and Wakka do the rest :P
@Kretzki95 thats the problem i had. my main team was tidus yuna and rikku. and those where pretty much the only 3 that had a completed celestial weapon and where high lvl the rest of my character where hardly worth something. but i never had any use for other characters anyway up untill the malboro lol.

Blatent debug from a cheat disc that allows you to exceed 10000 damage.
These cheat discs also allow to have Sephiroth and Aeris as playable characters (even after the point where Aeris dies)

Everyone's all arguing over which one is better... The entire franchise is amazing (before X-2 that is...) but for me it goes
FF8, FFX, FF7. IMO 8 had an amzing story and I seem to be the only one who liked the Junction system. 10 had a fuck amazing story, stunning visuals and a perfect soundtrack. I dont like 9 at all though.... the characters are all like 10 years old and it just is too cartoony, plus the bosses are all hella weak.

Just because it has to be said periodically, this is the PC version, and there are mods for it. One being to be able to break the 9999 damage cap. This is using said mod. It isn't fake, it's a modded PC version.

@Dracula9AntiChapel Those don't technically do damage though it's more as instant kill....kill does not equal actual damage as KO is moreas a status ailment in RPGs.

Its all the same, you say someone hack when you cheat in a game, because there are no "Consoles" that they use like.. God mode. They often use some sort of program to HACK the game that make em able to cheat. Just because you HACK, doesnt mean you hack into someones computer, you are just stupid and cannot write this yourself so you copied wikipedia.

Well, I looked it up. I'm wrong, but so are you.
Vincent does not do over 9999 damage.
Rather:
The formula for death penalty is:
Dmg=(str*10)+(lvl*10)+(enemies killed).
When you kill over 65,535, the enemy int counter overflows and goes to a negative num (has to do with binary arithmetic and int bit size) and damage is negative.
The game doesn't know what to do, so it just kills the enemy.
Why square used signed int arithmetic for enemies killed and damage, I don't know.

I think he just putted 2 in front of every damage number and when you REALLY do some damage you can see the old number faiting in back of new damage so he only putted 2...

@Kretzki95 that makes you very lucky. because if i wanted to rebuy the game now it would not only be hard to find considering no store sells it and its uncommon even on dutch gameshop sites. but it would also probably cost me even more then i sold it for. and 8 and 9 are even more expensive then 7. last time i saw 9 was at some site for around 180-220€ and it was only a bid. who knows how high the price was on the end of the auction.

FFX and cant seem to find it anywhere either. which annoys the hell out of me because its the only final fantasy game i played that wasnt 100% finished. well that and final fantasy 14 but i only need the Treasure Hunter Achievement there and im just to damn lazy to spend so much time on that. just to get a screenshot that i wont use anyway.

@Kretzki95 i only had 1 problem. and that was that fucking annoying Malboro in Omegas cave. it annoyed the shit out of me because everytime i got close to finishing the god damn place that fucking bastard puts confusion berserk etc etc on my entire party and i didnt have the items to protect myself from those things because i was to lazy to look for them and didnt need them before meeting that fuck face. i swear i had a harder time fighting that piece of shit then fighting omega weapon himself.

@lagorbian Hah it is annoying but I managed to capture 10 of them with Auron's celestial weapon becouse of it's First Strike ability , I changed him with Yuna and summoned Anima and beated malboro until it had low hp and then I just dismissed Anima and let Auron, Tidus and Wakka do the rest :P

@Kretzki95 thats the problem i had. my main team was tidus yuna and rikku. and those where pretty much the only 3 that had a completed celestial weapon and where high lvl the rest of my character where hardly worth something. but i never had any use for other characters anyway up untill the malboro lol.

@Kretzki95 i probably would have lvled up the rest of my characters after getting my ass kicked too many times. sadly enough i didnt have the time. i got final fantasy 9 so i placed the final fantasy 10 disc inside the final fantasy 9 box and 1 day after i finished final fantasy 9 completely the final fantasy 9 box completely vanished containing disc 1 2 and 3 from final fantasy 9 and the final fantasy 10 disc.

@Kretzki95 true but ohh well. while i would have liked to play those again im more interested in the new final fantasy games that will come out in the future. like final fantasy XIII-2 the gameplay was kinda too easy but i loved the story and graphics. and im also really looking forward to the Remake of Final Fantasy VII that will be out on the PS3 its going to be freaking awesome! xD

@darkkloud666 It's not fake at all, he's simply used a mod that removes the 9999 damage limit, but he doesn't hit MUCH higher than that because the stats of characters, and more so enemies, in this game reduces the damage.

El daño del omnilátigo se puede cambiar en ps1 (Una expansión de daño que se le llamaría como en el FFX) lo que pasa es que es o bien con el cd de trucos (Códigos que desconozco) o con parches que circulan por ahí... esta versión es la de PC, con algunos parches aplicados.

Pero si piensa en lo siguiente: tengo todos los personajes en nivel 99 (sin status max porque me da flojera hacer tanto)... y en la pelea final, cuando Sephiroth tira muro, ella aún hace 8000 o más cuando los demás hacen lo correspondiente (4000 aprox), jajajaja

es facil usa un mod para poder dañar mas de 9999 azell patch edition se pueden hacer muchas cosas. xD.
