@TheCinisterSorrow Unless its a brand name I think its ok. There are two types of licenses too. One for the artist performance and one for the song and melody. So doing a cover of something is cheaper to pay the copyright fee. That's why movies and games will redo songs sometimes.

There are a lot of terms that get used, and it's hard to specifically say it's "this", "this" and "that", but some words you will see thrown around are trip hop, nu-jazz, electro-jazz, future jazz, downtempo, cinematic, chillout... I am sure there are many more.

This track is pretty old now, got a promo of it when it was first released. Will Holland is a very talented man. He's kinda moved on now to other productions and does a lot of stuff as the Quantic Soul Orchestra and produces some excellent stuff

Feels more like down tempo to me, not particularly Trip Hop, which is like a sub genre of Down Tempo I guess; but that tends to be more psychedelic.
