i have a samsung i8510 innov8 and it sucks. I had n79 5mp cam and it was a good cam. I think I'll go with the n86 cuz it's 8mp cam plus the battery can last for a long time. samsung batter sucks, sumsung lens sucks..Nokia is better...

Thanks for your advice. I was gutted to hear that vodafone didn't stock the n86 so i had to get the n85 :'(

However it is a great phone and probably the best i've ever had. (It's much better than the n96 ;P )

n86....reason being?becos N86 battery is longer and it has a glass front.The camera is a great deal cos its 8 megapixel and N96 battery ony last less than 2 days.

nah, my n80 is really strong! it fell 4 stories, got washed in the washing machine(it was outside the pant pocket, so it was fully exposed to the water), it was underground for a day(my cousin did that) and it was boiled(my own doing) and it has one scratch on the back!!!

The N82's FLASH is way better. The N86's lens will be of higher quality, producing crisper photos.

Honestly though, I won't consider anything Nokia puts out as a replacement flagship camera phone for the N82 until they put a Xenon flash on it. If they can use the same sensor as the N82(or even improve it) and add an LED for video recording, I would be sold.

im tired of all these slightly better n95 upgrade type phones. but even more annoying will be using those stupid tic tac sized buttons. maybe if this phone had the new standby screen with the contacts widget, a touchscreen, and properly sized buttons on the top then i would consider it. actually, that would almost make it a dream phone. id actually like to have a s60 3rd phone w/touch because of the massive software library

Maybe u had a personalized firmware from your operator. There are ways to get firmware updates - change the product/zone code and then update. Just google it!

I am already waiting for the "upgrade" of the N97.. I am not going to buy the N97 when it comes out (since I found out that's the biggest mistake a person can do when dealing with nokia).. I'll wait till a better version of N97 comes out or maybe the phone that comes out after that.. because they always show u a nice phone but then a better phone after that..

N96=FAIL! 5 Firmware updates in less than 3mths after shipment! That speaks of a problematic device. N96 overpriced. Larger screen but never as bright or vibrant as OLED on N85/N86 this is the future! N96 horrible battery life. I only liked the DPad buttons on it.

I agree with you on one thing is that the N96 is really a useless phone, since it's really not a big upgrade over the N95 (I own an N95).. The N86 is definately a better phone than the N96.. I would consider it as the proper upgrade over the N95..
