Jeff Ament commented at a music awards show that he "thought we were grunge" when Pearl Jam won an award for best rock band, or video. He was obviousle poking fun at the media and the whole "grunge" thing.

Man, I have heard a thousand covers of The Money will roll right in in my days. This is the only one that comes anywhere close to being as good as the original Fang version. This has nothing to do with the presence of saint kurt, and everything to do with the fact that every one on that stage is playing the fuck out of an amazing song everyone of them obviously loves.

This doesn´t change the fact (at least I think so) that the process of creating makes a good guitar player, not tabbing down and up any pentatonics...
