what? intel 1090T faster than I7? wrong, even slower than some I5's. Although it performs very well in heavy tasked applications, like photo and video editing, due to the number of cores. In games, is very poor, for now, but we don't know if it will perform better in the future multi-core applications.

@Quadpro24 yeah, most of the games even dont use all six cores. Thats why i7 and i5 from the 2xx0 series are much better to games, but when were talking about cinebench 1090T goes pretty well, even 30% faster than i5 and perorming like a 2600k i7.

@woe96 Well the new one is clearly faster just look at the end or pause in some moments. 1090t wins clearly and average fps is now everything. min and max fps count too and both of them are relay important. Look at q6600 max fps are almost everywhere the same on 1090t they are higher and differentiated. Which means no bottleneck. Max fps means more performance in moments not demanding on GPU alot and min means more performance on hi demanding moments. And well this game uses 1 core of the cpu

to bad that u dont have any game wich use more than 2 cores (stalker dont use 4 or 6 cores) . I got 4x Q6600 3,2Ghz as my renderfarm in 3dstudio max, and x6 1090T @ 4,1Ghz as mainframe and believe or not that Phenom is faster than 2x Q6600 in network. Try to check that 2 sets in game wich use more than 2 cores (Stalker dont use even 4 cores)

Here's a plan, either use ddr 3 memory for both of the processors to make it a fair test, or overclock/underclock memory TO ACTUALLY SEE COMPARABLE RESULTS. In my experience ram speed makes all the difference, but this test here makes me question my motherboard and ram more than my loved q6600.

Regardless of the DDR3 memory (witch in 775 cpus doesn't give much performance increase) the Q6600 IS OLD and WILL BOTTLENECK any newer hardware (Like 5870, GTX 480 , 580 ect) Its because of the old architecture, and some other issues about the architecture but it is to long to explain WHY Q6600 IS BOTTLENECKING NEW HARDWARE! This cpu is good now for GPU like GTX 460 anything higher will kill it. Just as Here

@bubamiri Yea i agree it is a good combination but only in Single GPU config If you want to do hi-end multi gpu config (I will buy another 5870 soon) AMD is much better option because it is cheaper and the performance 4 the price is very good On Intel with SLI you are restricted to few boards and most of them are expensive. AMD Crossfire can be done on both AMD/Intell motherboards and crossfire ready motherboards are starting at a very good prices. So 4 now i prefer AMD cpu ang GPU (:

@dyysMith sorry it is not possible. How 4 cores on 4 ghz can beat 6 cores? Yes sandy bridge does but it is brand new architecture newer than any current cpu. Q6600 is few years older than Phenom X6 it is just not possible. Q6600 has a lot of architecture bottlenecks but it is too long for this comment to explain. Phenon X6 does not have that kind of problem. If someone tells Q6600 on 4ghz is faster than Phenom X6 on 4GHz he is probably a Intell fanboy. Sorry but this is bullshit.

Po 2 STALKER Wykorzystuje tylko 1 rdzeń to co widzisz na AMD to tzw mikro przycięcia zwykle coś takiego występują w konfiguracjach z wieloma grafikami ze względu na specyficzny sposób renderingu grafiki. Tu jednak procesor z powodu wykorzystania tylko 1 rdzenia (dodam że na 100% silnik xRay jest stary jak wuj) nie nadąża z przydzielaniem zadań dla grafiki jest to wada Silnika nie sprzetu. Dodam jeszcze że w samej grze jest ok
