While the mechanics in combat are dumbed down a little, it did however improve the main complaint the series had SINCE Morrowind, the combat. The series has ALWAYS had a problem with combat. It's still my GOTY.

@theneroliveira I'm pretty excited too. After playing Dark Souls, and Skyrim, I feel the need to just strip the complexity, kick back, and play a beat-em-up RPG. This is looks perfect for that. Watch the reviews say the game is an 8 or lower based PURELY on the graphics, I dare you. it's like when they tried to butcher Space Marines because it wasn't as graphically matched to Gears, but in a couple ways it was actually a better game.
@masterkorn Amazing. It has probably the largest game map in history outside of maybe an MMO. Imagine a game the size of half of England. It's my favorite in the series for good reasons.
It's a little hard to get running now a days due to it being so old. The only way to get it running is by using DosBox, which you can find instructions on how to use via google. The only RPG I like more than it is Fallout, and Planescape: Torment.

@thefallen1616 well other players could enter your "world" to either help you out (co-op) or could come looking for a fight. With a pvp system, there is a reason to go out and get better weapon, armor, and higher skills.
Every time I see a new trailer of this game, I realize even more that Kingdom of Amalur will be a great game. And I wonder why some of you get angry when comparing this game to Skyrim if you can enjoy both.
besides how it looks when the character is carrying a hammer, It reminds me of skyrim more than fable..yes, the action in the game reminds me of it, but everything that was described in the vid sounds like a decent ammount of things tha are in skyrim..about 70% no denying it.
action animations and the colorful feel of it, fable, yes. everything else from crafting, sneaking, intimidation/persuasion, picking chests, etc. skyrim.

I do realize that much of this game is unique, but a lot of it is way too similar to elder scrolls. The thing i do like about it is it looks like a fable-like game. The downfall of fable was that there was no depth to the story and the game was very short. Hopefull this game will offer similar styles to fable but with more depth.

@thefallen1616 well other players could enter your "world" to either help you out (co-op) or could come looking for a fight. With a pvp system, there is a reason to go out and get better weapon, armor, and higher skills.

besides how it looks when the character is carrying a hammer, It reminds me of skyrim more than fable..yes, the action in the game reminds me of it, but everything that was described in the vid sounds like a decent ammount of things tha are in skyrim..about 70% no denying it.
action animations and the colorful feel of it, fable, yes. everything else from crafting, sneaking, intimidation/persuasion, picking chests, etc. skyrim.

I do realize that much of this game is unique, but a lot of it is way too similar to elder scrolls. The thing i do like about it is it looks like a fable-like game. The downfall of fable was that there was no depth to the story and the game was very short. Hopefull this game will offer similar styles to fable but with more depth.
