Hey Mort, hmmm i got a trouble on my import im using 3ds max 2009 version. When ever i import the model into 3ds the whole character is see through, how can i change that to where it isn't lol. It makes me look like a ghost

Are you standing Out side in the dark?
On a serious note.
Have you applied a shadow/matte material to your surface?
Have you made sure the light you are using has shadows turned on?

under mesh smoothing you can probably handle two iterations(sp) and ur want to tick use old style (something lol)
