  • holy crap!! i love it!!! where did you get the headers from? i am building my 1.8T to a high compression build with solid lifters, and I'm looking for headers? where did you get yours? or did you make them? I'm also going to ITB this summer for road racing and rally. thanks. love the vid, love the car :)

  • That sounds bloody perfect! top work!

  • I think rather that ABF !! :)

  • So are you using the 20v block also or have you put a modified 20v head on a regular 16v/8v block? Curious about if it's a 1.8 or a 2.0.

  • Nice sound..

  • nice sound

  • omg, this is my next mk3 project!! just listen!!!

where you from mate? we need to meet up and swap cars for the day!

  • nice build. where did you find the 20v head? where can i find one or a 16v?

  • That 20v is high reving machine

  • That was before the car was dynoed. I thought it not wise to push it beyond 7500 rpm. However the dyno showed it making power up till 8800 rpm. The head is currently apart - solid lifter conversion - we'll see how it does then.

  • Gotta love ITB's but rev the fucker more! Drops off cam horribly on gear change!

  • Sick.

  • where can i buy itb's for my golf mk3 16v 2.0

  • how much hp did it make on the dyno? pretty neat idea! What motor codes did you combine? ABA + AEB?

  • whats up with the revving WELL over the redline and his engine not engind up as a million bits all-over the road?

  • That stock redline no longer applies. The engine is completely built up - it redlined @ 8800 rpm now. I have a aftermarket tachometer now. The car has safely revved to 9400rpm.

  • holly shit

  • damn that;s sick !!

  • @Mendra72

Bwehehehehe, now all the honda guys be jelly :D

Always wondered how a 20v would sound on ITB's, but i wouldn't trade my boost for nothing.

  • hauptsache mal mist erzählt...

  • auto? try again

  • Thats Fast and nice!! Congrats!! are you running it with big ITB`s? Im building a ABA OBD1 20v too I`ll appreciate any help. Thanks and Good luck with coming upgrades! and Please next time rev it up that sounds is + than music!

  • Post a 0-top vid at max rpm, sounds gorgeous

  • why are you short shifting it? rev that shit out!

  • Took her to the dyno - and the power falls off @ 8800 rpm. will put up a video with a 8k pull sometime.

  • you shifted at 6000 or so in these vids, would love to see the 8k pull :D

  • where did u get those headers i saw on vwvortex

  • Custom made.

  • any pictures? this is the exact conversion I'm considering for my mk1.

  • search on vwvortex for Project ABE

  • wut 2.0 block???

  • ABA OBD I block. Bored to 83mm

  • Damn, that sounds really smooth in the car. Barely even sounds like 6K when you're on it.

  • an NA 20v ABA?? nice!

  • Cool. lol. Well good luck on the rest of your Project. Where you from ?

  • I'm in NJ

  • Sounds good. What made you want to put a K20 in a VW?

  • It's not a Kmotor. It's a 20v VW head on a 2.0L VW bottom end, however all the internals are lightened, balanced and the motor is blueprinted. Thank you for the compliment.

  • Oh ok. When I saw it the first time, I thought it said K series somewhere. No problem. The exhaust note sounds awesome. It really sings to you.

  • It's cool - I read alot on the All motor forum on Honda-tech before I built this motor since there are a lot more B / K series motors with big cams/compression/ITB's than there are VW's.

  • I dig that. Tryin to be different I understand that. lol. So what plans do you have next for it? BTW, Pleeeeaze snip of that Strand of thread on the wheel. lol.

  • I have to finish tuning the motor on the dyno, then later in the year - a fully prepped polished / ported head to replace the stock head. The steering wheel thread is gone now :)

  • sounds great brotha :)
