The announcer sounds like Peter Cullen. He was also the announcer for "Sonny & Cher" (besides being in their supporting cast). But his best known voice role was (and is) Optimus Prime. Peter is one of many Canadians who had to leave Canada to find fame, fortune, and better job opportunities.
It wasn't ALL that, kinda repetitious, boring and mundane. Guess that goes with the whole 'las vegas' schtick though. All showmanship, lights, flash & bang...NO TALENT, just average. IMHO
At 2:45 I just knew that had to be Michael Peters and his choreography because I thought, those are the moves from Michael Jackson's Beat It...Wow! So I just had to look it up and it turns out Michael Peters used to choreograph the show!...Cool!...This is like 7 years before Thriller! History in the making!
@1queensny Often on these shows there are more than one Choreographer, so that is possible. The amazing similarity between the Beat It moves and this Lola Falana number is what caught my attention. Choreographers are very influenced by each other and "borrow" dance moves from each other all the time.
The dance sequence in this video may seem tame now, but when it first aired back in 1976, it drove many of us guys nuts--seeing lovely Lola strutting her stuff in a body stocking. Now people like Beyonce Knowles do this sort of stuff all the time. It's almost routine.
I would love to see an autobiography of Lola starring Beyonce!

@susuemikado Are you sure Michael Peters choreographed it? Wasn't there a Lester Wilson who also did a lot of work with Lola Falana?
