  • I primarily stopped reading the newspaper because of their poor quality of journalism, aka reporters constantly attack people and issues that I support... they ask these people in the hard core news articles that is suppose to be about news but it appears that people who should be columnist are writing news stories

  • us4000ad

For my sanity and the future of America please please STFU!!

  • WTF? GFY. The DNC: The party that feigns empathy for Gov. Power & Gov. Control of the people. Infested with evil doers, mentally ill liberals, voter fraud, racists, intolerant, tax & spend, communists, socialists, radical secularists, anti life, conservative haters, anti Christian, anti Muslim, America haters, Obummer & his liberal fascists demorats, , Maoists, Stalinists, ACORN, Hollywood, Obamas leftists fringe media. Do not trust these people. Crush them, destroy them. Vote them out.

  • Journalist's cannot be trusted. Truth is not a left wing value. 90% are liars like this site. Most are liberal fascists democrats. Find the truth and you will prosper.

  • fascism is the opposite of liberal democracy. just thought u should know b4 u say it somewhere else. thanks.

  • No news is good news. Good for enviroment. With a click we can get all the information want, instantly; I don't think paper got a chance. Look at what happen to Kodak. Paper just reack too SLOW & with ONE selection only. Internet RSS, variety & quick. Even some junk, but, is up to you whether you believe what they said or not. I never have my paper for many many years, digital age,sad but trendy.

  • I love this girl's voice

  • So, most journalist nowadays just recycle what they are told by PR departments and ask Joe Public for his opinion to make a story. There is no real depth like there used to be.

  • What is the big deal. We don't use spinning jennys anymore. We don't ride steam trains anymore. Newspapers are obsolete and it is a bloody good thing too. Anyone that sees The Sun or the Mirror in the UK knows why.

  • YAYY SAVE THE TREES

  • There's nothing better than shitting and reading a paper! I will miss it!

  • Hey the Bank Cartels own all the News Media!!!

Now Rockefeller wants to censor the Internet.....OFF WITH THEIR HEADS.

You Tube is already being effected!

We need the real news not the controlled news by the Bank Cartels! Watch them put their grubby hands in here as well...grrrrrrrr

  • Why pay for "news" when you can get it online anyways?

  • Who is supposed to vote for the best paperboy in America?

  • lol

  • lol

  • newspapers are only good for the tv guide..the rest is just lies...

  • "The New York Times in Manhattan, shows how strong self image can lead to survival"

Is this woman living in lala-land? New York Times is on the verge of bankruptcy along with the Boston Globe which they also own.

  • Most of the entertainment and propaganda is available on your email.

REAL NEWS is not being reported.

  • paper boy isn't a career he knows that, get over the kid

  • The local paper and specialty papers, like some niche finance papers, will still do great, I think.

I do tend to go online for regional and international news, but for local news I wouldnt be bothered going online to read. I rather read the local paper away from a tv screen. Besides, your local area is personal and news papers are more personal than a tv screen. Its like a book is more personal than a dvd.

  • TV news is all opinion and lacks real journalistic inquiry. It's propaganda. There's more objective news online if you look for alternate sources.

  • Its the future!!! WoooT!

  • My local paper makes up stories. They also created a data base of concealed weapons permit holders giving out personal information about gun owners. Let the papers die.

  • they're pretty handy when you're painting.

  • lol

  • 4:47 LOL

  • LOL i saw that too!

  • Me too.

    That was so freaking funny.

I am guessing "Skynet" is online and that it has a sense of humor. :P

  • Like Nietzsche said, "Newspaper is dead"

  • Just let them die...newspapers are wasteful anyway....

  • after newspapers rot, hopefully TV will follow.

  • No, television and the internet are wasteful.. they waste the mind away. At least reading is active.

  • Umm, most of the time I'm on the internet I'm reading and I think it's like that for most people. Also, are you saying the very video that informed you about this issue was wasteful? Granted television is a wasteful product when you can get the same info online, but it's not like television/videos has to be mtv or anything.

  • The quality of internet journalism is much less than that of traditional journalism, and like the documentary states - because most online journals don't require subscriptions which generate revenue, and because they're proliferated, we can expect do see a general degradation of the profession. Maybe things will turn around, I dunno. The problem with the internet is that its saturated with garbage. And FYI I read about this issue in the Nation about a month ago.

  • Online isn't a replacement for print. It's simply another delivery option (which, like everything else, some like and some don't) . Without the print, there would be few sources for online news.

As for papers being too expensive - where else could you find all the information (articles, ads, entertainment, community calendars, etc.) a newspaper provides for under $1/day?

  • I keep saying this in discussions about all different mediums.

    Technology changes the system.

alternative options are just that much more convenient than the traditional newspaper. It aint no mothafuckin' recession. It's that you're providing a relatively inferior product.

The system has to change. It's not like news is suddenly self published or something.

  • It will be

  • The female narrator has a sexy voice.

  • Big Score For The Trees!

  • For years schools of Journalism have selectively chosen students that while being marginally creative, were for the most part capable of following directives from their superiors. Newspapers never want to be challenged from within I've learned.

  • The kind of people who become journalists are the ones who as kids kept records of other kids and handed it to the teachers. Then when they got older kept neighbourhood dosiers of the comings and goings of the people on their street. A lot of them also have issues with nicotine and/or booze addiction. The whole "journalistic" psychology is based on demanding perfection in others cos they can't control their own addicitons, while also being instinctual totalitarian gatekeepers of the system.

  • Wonderful news. The more jounalists out of work the better. Let them get back to their natural status within the evolutionary process - ie: sucking cocks down the bus station for loose change.

    Happy days!

  • you're an idiot.

  • new york times is straight up the greatest newspaper in the world I want to move to New York just to get such an excellent newspaper nothing like what we get spewed out in australia

  • I hope you're kidding as the New York Times is the same propaganda you're getting in Austrailia.

Handful of media corporations own all the big newspapers, all the major record labels, all the television stations and major news stations, all the major radio stations...

And guess what -- they take their marching orders from the Military Industrial Complex which is run by corporate America and the Pentagon.

Thank you Pentagon for all this interesting news!

  • NO ITS NOT THE SAME AS WHAT WE GET IN AUSTRALIA, it is actual news & the NY times has been around since the 1800s days of New York corruption & gangs & has reported on some things in the city that has stopped corruption. I do know what you mean it has influence by the govt. but you cant discredit every paper because of that.

  • At least when the New York Times reports about terrorism its actually because its happened in New York. We have had 6 year of front page stories about terrorism everyday. The odds of an Australian dying to terrorism (overseas might i remind you)? 1:333,000

We may as well have front page news everyday about the risks of shark attacks or getting hit by lightning or a meteorite

  • They have started implying already in the UK that News Papers should be subsidised, which is stupid.

They will be as popular al vinyl records in ten years time.

People can make up their own minds what they want to read and watch on the net,but as is already happening, the powers that be would like to control the information we can get.

Don't want us making our own minds up about things!!!

  • Oh no! No wonder corrupt governments control the media so easily.

  • Well, at last!!!!!!!!! We can get rid of the black stain that newspapers leave on your fingers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The news papers never did anything to stop that.

  • ANYONE ONTO THE "LOL" AT 5:24?

  • LOL

    good catch hahaha

  • We don't trust print medium anymore anyways. All sooo generic, bland, patronizing and contrived. The Internet offers so much more in so many more (easy) ways. You can really Pick-and Choose from your own Personal Opinions and Beliefs w/o the feeling of being force-fed. It is just that way. My first job was Paper-boy until the Paper closed down (don't know why- years ago) Now I'm a Photographer in a world where everyone has a digi-cam and thinks they can take pix. Lol, Life.
  • "Lol, Life."

    That's a great attitude.

  • it's funny that documentary films shows visible minorities more often. Where as mainstream media shows less.

  • there are more than 60 million blacks in america... well the ones that showed up to vote anyway.

and fyi i checked "other", blacks don't like polls lol.

  • yup and the newspaper cost trees unlike the internet :)

  • Switching to Internet saves papers and ink? And ink on all the thrown away coupons?

  • The only people on getting news on line are young people, HA.

  • I quit buying newspapers when they all turned into blatant liberal rags. The same thing has happened to MSNBC's ratings and liberal talk radio.

  • Are newspaper real news ????

  • technology is changing at an ever increasing pace. If you don't adjust, then you get left behind. it is that simple. I have done a few majors in college and that is the biggest weakness that I have found. People are not willing to adapt so younger people take over with newer technology. Paper news is on its way out. so are dvds, blue ray, tv and computers will merge, most hardware will go digital etc, and they will keep evolving. Either be agile and flexible, or retire!

  • i deliver newspapers early morning, iv noticed route sizes dropping over the past few months. it sucks this is my job, n there arent many others out there right now. personally i like having a newspaper in my hand. the net doesnt have the same kind of local storys- also its hard to get general storys.. if u already know the story u can look it up but if u dont already know u wont find it. also, nothing beats reading the paper on ur lunch break at work

  • ★★★★★ the only glitch still left for print is current and up-to-date classifieds...

  • the only news that ive ever seen, read or heard is deek jackson. They deleted 100s of his reports, true he's a plagerist video fuk,but at least he tells the truth. His channel is called the fkn news.

  • State run papers? Parnerships with ISPs?

  • As long as I got to go to the bathroom....Im going to keep buy a newspaper.

Besides I think its going to be like the radio. Radio is still here even after the TV, Colored TV, & Internet. I think the newspapers will do the same.

  • No More god damn Propaganda! Whooo Hooooo!!

The Roschilds want to kill the internet!!

  • least its save paper

  • But I love trees!

  • I do love trees, you need energy to use your computer so you can read those Pdf documents.computers produce just as much waste that can't be discarded. Printed circuit boards contain antimony, silver, chromium, zinc, and copper.I a pro green but I know how difficult it is to be green.I still want China to use mettalic fork to eat rice.with their 1,4 billions of people they are the biggest "ungreen" citizens of the world.

  • hey, most people who still order paper newspapers more than likely have a computer at home. why not use your existing appliance to read news? the energy wastage due to electricity would still be less than processing papers, printing, delivering recycling papers and the net loss of trees.

  • But we use chopsticks!

  • the correct way to say that is "some 3rd world countries". If you take your time to search the net, country by country, you might be shocked at what is really going on in the world. Travel, I guarantee you that 1st hand experience will make you change your mind!

  • I stand corrected i should have been more selective.yes indeed some 3rd world countriesthx for the correction

  • don't see what's wrong with it... times change, and so do the jobs.

  • point is that revenue from news publication isn't covering the cost of production -- its virtually free, so journalists get laid off.

Unless news publication starts making more more, less reporting and more corruption.

  • number one :)
