Fatal Frame and Siren are also other great horror series to play alone...and in the dark. I do apreciate a lot Silent Hill 1 and Homecoming. I just can't wait for Silent Hill 8 (working title). What's the expectations from fans from this one? I have good expectations...the city is more detailed then never...and also seems tp have side quests (producers said).

Bioshock also changed the team in Bio2, still an excelent game

This kind of thing always fascinates me about horror games. I think we all know what James did to Mary, but with that in mind, watch this video again. Don't you get a better sense of what genius it took to make this game?
What gets to me playing these kinds of games is imagining how "I" would feel walking in the kind of enviroment they do. Look how freaking dark it is there! You can see so good in front of you with your light, but pitched black behind you....I'd be walking sideways kind of constantly looking front and back. NEVER with my back fully turned for to long..

I played the game once again, and this time, I found out that the radio static in the 301-302 portion of the 3rd floor hallway was actually from Lying Figures.
I'm only on the hospital part lol this game scares da crap out of me! I just bought this game a week or too ago, and I just got passed this part. I can't play it for more then A little while at a time, it's so gotdang creepy! I have to fight the second boss and I don't want to do that.....ahhh! Funny thing though, after beating the first creature with the plank, and walking back, another monster walked by me and my brother screamed like a girl~ He squealed, it was so freaking funny. Silent hill is awesomely and freaking me out! :D
silent hill 2 was the scariest, i used to love setting it up and playing it through the night when no one else was home with with the lights off and all the windows on my farm property open so you could hear noises in the night
you are very brave...I tried to play SH4 at night bcuz everyone in my house was awake, as soon as i fired the game up and left my room to get a drink everyone decided to go to bed so...I went back in my room and turned the game off lol. I still can't play SH2 at night or home alone even though I've played it like 7 times.
tbh, Silent Hill exists, and stuff like this is just a myth, but the buildings and stuff all look like it, because the place is kinda deserted at the industry terrain
imo SH 1 and 2 are the best in the series. Everything after SH 4 was made by American developers(since Team Silent disbanded :( ), so the SH games won't be the same anymore.
That was supposed to be breathing? I must admit I never got that. I just remember whispering in the room before the battle with Pyramid Head (I tried a few times turnign the sound up to see if I could make anything out) and that god awful scream in the hallway, ohh and the first time I heard puking I didn't know what to expect, in other words the apartments were rather creepy!
This part creeped me so much out that everytime I go into the basement, I hear this same breathing in my head...damn Silent Hill is messed up but it's such a good game.

I just bought this game a week or too ago, and I just got passed this part. I can't play it for more then A little while at a time, it's so gotdang creepy! I have to fight the second boss and I don't want to do that.....ahhh! Funny thing though, after beating the first creature with the plank, and walking back, another monster walked by me and my brother screamed like a girl~ He squealed, it was so freaking funny. Silent hill is awesomely and freaking me out! :D

silent hill 2 was the scariest, i used to love setting it up and playing it through the night when no one else was home with with the lights off and all the windows on my farm property open so you could hear noises in the night

you are very brave...I tried to play SH4 at night bcuz everyone in my house was awake, as soon as i fired the game up and left my room to get a drink everyone decided to go to bed so...I went back in my room and turned the game off lol. I still can't play SH2 at night or home alone even though I've played it like 7 times.

Think so far Silent Hill 2 is my favorite, it's almost tied with SH3. Don't like 4 and Origins isnt scary. Still need to try Homecoming though.

imo SH 1 and 2 are the best in the series. Everything after SH 4 was made by American developers(since Team Silent disbanded :( ), so the SH games won't be the same anymore.

That was supposed to be breathing? I must admit I never got that. I just remember whispering in the room before the battle with Pyramid Head (I tried a few times turnign the sound up to see if I could make anything out) and that god awful scream in the hallway, ohh and the first time I heard puking I didn't know what to expect, in other words the apartments were rather creepy!

this is the most detailed and dark silent hill game...some of the others were crap but this 1 has more psyhchotic-ness and mystery...questions like "what the fuck does the pyramid head look like underneath?"
