I know that Bright Eyes has their fans and I know Oberst is a genuinely talented composer and musician. Having heard the original song, I just can't take the vocals seriously. Yes they are full of raw emotion, I get that. But for the life of me, I cannot listen to the screeching flat singing in the original. Emotion is one thing, but the vocals on the bright eyes track sound sloppy. whereas Mraz can actually hit the high notes with ease and control. Just my 2 cents

Why didn't you bother noting that this is a cover of Bright Eyes Kathy with a K Song? Just because Jason Mraz wants to conceal the fact that he can't write music and has to steal other people's music doesn't mean that you have to conceal it as well. The entire credit of this song goes to BRIGHT EYES because HE wrote it and Jason Mraz couldn't write anything close to this in his wildest dreams.
