I saw that you didn't use the ride cymbal at all in this song so you could set it to another crash and have two crash's for the songs that dont need a ride cymbal.
hey awesome cover! i'm thinking about getting this kit but i'm a complete beginner and don't know that much bout drums, are the surge cymbals loud like normal cymbals on an acoustic kit or are they quiet??
The regular alesis dmr does not support duel triggers. The dm5pro does.... there are way around it, i suggest watching more videos here as the company has a good explenation video on how to operte and adjust the thing!
hey man. awesome job. I'm just starting out on drums and i'm gonna get this kit. Just out of interest, the surge symbals, are they silent like the stock ones?
I'm thinking of buying the dm5 pro kit with Surge cymbals.. I'm only hesitant Cause My Bro's room is next to mine's and he's studying for medical school.. How Loud are the Surge cymbals with Headphones On? .. I'd kindly appreciate it If someone replied at either xmoonrox_alyx@hotmail.com or Aly.Osama.Ahmed@gmail.com or Here.. lol
Were you able to hear both streams of audio or just the mp3 or drums? I heard the DM5 module did not support a feature that allowed you to listen to both.
im thinking about getting the alesis dm5 pro kit but the guy at guitar center said a simmons sd10k is coming out in a few weeks so i just wanna know if i shoul dget alesis or simmons.
nice cover bro. im thinking of buying the same kit in a few days. may i ask why ur drums are black and not white? also is the bass pad similar to the feel of an actual bass drum for double bass and such?
hey how long are the drums themselves without the eletronic sounds playing i mean, how does it sound when you hit a cymbal or a tom, is it too loud for a dorm room in college, same with the bass drum, is that real loud sounding to someone eles ears?

It's posible that the drum kit isn't dm5 pro, and are dm10 pro kit? I try to find and the more similar are dm10 pro kit, the dm5 pro are diffeerent color, and the plates are't realistic than this.
Hey dude i have a question, I ahve the same kit and what do you do about your bassdrum. IDK if its my pedals or what but I hate how stiff the bassdrum is. I want to replace it but is it the bassdrum or my pedals. Any suggestions ? Double Bass is hard with the bassdrum the set comes with

@cdogg4388 yea man i just got this kit! the only problem is the high hat isnt very good at all it cuts out on tripples! and at doubles it sounds shite but i still think its well worth the money. also what voices are you using in this vid???
@konz0 Yes I do still play on this kit... I have added two more surge cymbals with choke capability and I like it better than my acoustic now because of ease of not having to tune or set up mics to record... just plug, play, n record ha
@ilovegoonbas92 its the dm5 pro kit that comes with surge cymbals... this all came with what i bought, and i havent added anything.. thanks and the surge cymbals are awesome but are a little louder than rubber
@teotius the only thing that makes a lot of noise is the bass pad, and that depends on the pedal you use... other than that the heads can be polymer (i think its called polymer) or mesh ... any 8 in head will work... Im still using the stock heads and i live in an apartment... nobody complains about noise and they feel nice
I don't know if anyone knows the answer to this or not, but are the black pads that come with the surge cymbal kit any quieter or louder than the standard white ones?
I have a 1/4 in to 1/8 in adapter in the speaker port of the module and a y cable that is male to two separate female 1/8 into the adapter and i just plug headphones into one end of the y and a straight cable to my computer... hope this helps
that last comment is to hear my drums and then to hear the song i just played it on my phone and put headphones on... the big vic firth phones are for my drums and i have the ear plug phones on under the vic ones playing the song
the module itself has a lot of sounds on it and extra ports for expansion ... so yes u can but no more than 3 or more extra.... if u would like to expand much larger then u may need an I/O brain
yes with this set, you only get one bass pad so it would be easier to buy a double pedal... on the other hand if you got money to spend and would like something different, you could buy another pad and two single pedals. hope this helped!
Love it. I bought this kit but im still waiting for delivery. Cant wait to get mine :) BTW. is there something important that i need to know, like buy anything for this to work ?
you use a diubke kick pedal?

have you had any problems when you hit the hi hat and it tends to have really low volume
then next hit sounds fine
or when you hit a crash
then keep playing, then the crash sound comes to a complete stop
sorry if that didnt make sense lol
