  • you use a diubke kick pedal?

  • whoah!!! those reverbs are killin me. Awesome.

  • good song, good cover, good drum kit

  • awesome man!

  • i wanna upgrade to surge symbalsssssssss

  • dAMN .......................

  • greeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeat cover!!

  • O, one other thing.

I saw that you didn't use the ride cymbal at all in this song so you could set it to another crash and have two crash's for the songs that dont need a ride cymbal.

    Just a Thought.

  • Nice nice

  • how loud are the pads?

  • Very nice dude.

  • The final cymbal sound like a crying potatoe but the whole song is really great man !

  • hey awesome cover! i'm thinking about getting this kit but i'm a complete beginner and don't know that much bout drums, are the surge cymbals loud like normal cymbals on an acoustic kit or are they quiet??

  • The regular alesis dmr does not support duel triggers. The dm5pro does.... there are way around it, i suggest watching more videos here as the company has a good explenation video on how to operte and adjust the thing!

  • How do you record dm5?

  • sei bravissimo da quant'e che suoni la batteria

  • I like :)

  • hey man. awesome job. I'm just starting out on drums and i'm gonna get this kit. Just out of interest, the surge symbals, are they silent like the stock ones?

  • what snare voice are you using as well as toms?

  • can i plug it in to an amp ?

  • Yes.

  • @cdogg4388 is the io trigger an addon to the dm5 module?

  • Great drumming! Planning on picking up the DM10 Studio kit soon. How is the overall quality the Alesis products? Pros and cons?

  • Hi,nice video.

is the cymbals are electronic too?

  • can i add a double pedal to this?

  • I think you need MORE CYMBALS!!!!! =O But awesome.

  • too much reverb in the snare sound. But the tone is nice.

  • Were you able to hear both streams of audio or just the mp3 or drums? I heard the DM5 module did not support a feature that allowed you to listen to both.

  • good work!

  • im thinking about getting the alesis dm5 pro kit but the guy at guitar center said a simmons sd10k is coming out in a few weeks so i just wanna know if i shoul dget alesis or simmons.

  • nice cover bro. im thinking of buying the same kit in a few days. may i ask why ur drums are black and not white? also is the bass pad similar to the feel of an actual bass drum for double bass and such?

  • Isn't this the dm10 kit?

  • hey how long are the drums themselves without the eletronic sounds playing i mean, how does it sound when you hit a cymbal or a tom, is it too loud for a dorm room in college, same with the bass drum, is that real loud sounding to someone eles ears?

  • It's posible that the drum kit isn't dm5 pro, and are dm10 pro kit? I try to find and the more similar are dm10 pro kit, the dm5 pro are diffeerent color, and the plates are't realistic than this.

    Thanks.

  • Hey dude i have a question, I ahve the same kit and what do you do about your bassdrum. IDK if its my pedals or what but I hate how stiff the bassdrum is. I want to replace it but is it the bassdrum or my pedals. Any suggestions ? Double Bass is hard with the bassdrum the set comes with

  • dos this kit have to plug into a computer to be played?

  • hey man good playing!! can u help me? I have an Alesis DM5, how can I mix it at the computer in the same way you are playing. thanks!!

  • hey man good playing!! can u help me? I have an Alesis DM5, how can I mix it at the computer in the same way you are playing. thanks!!

  • what setting do you have this song? do you have it on pop rock?

  • what's the name of the sound of your toms? i have the dm5 too, and i wanna try that tom sound

  • Nice job. Hey what amp or pa or whatever are you using for the sound?

  • @shanecombs1993 no amp ... i just ran the module into a small preamp straight into my laptop....

  • @cdogg4388

    what preamp are you using

and is the preamp necessary to record through the dm5?

  • @cdogg4388 hey how much did you pay for this set, and would you reccomend it?

  • This kit is sick and so is your playing

How much was this kit ? im trying to get an electric drum kit and finnally i see a really good one =] but i needa know the price!

  • hey i have the dm5 module and i want to buy the surge cymbals with choke does the module support it

  • @PmeOrDie yes it does go for it ... the surge cymbals are awesome

  • @cdogg4388 no it dosn't!!!

  • @simonsweeting shit, i read that wrong, u r right... to have choke u need the alesis IO...

  • @cdogg4388 yea man i just got this kit! the only problem is the high hat isnt very good at all it cuts out on tripples! and at doubles it sounds shite but i still think its well worth the money. also what voices are you using in this vid???

  • GREAT! Just Perfect! And on a electronic drum kit so just awesome.

    P.S.

How is your feeling about your set now ? I Mean do u still play on this kit or there was some prroblems with set?

    Regards.

  • @konz0 Yes I do still play on this kit... I have added two more surge cymbals with choke capability and I like it better than my acoustic now because of ease of not having to tune or set up mics to record... just plug, play, n record ha

  • im sure this isnt a dm5 pro kit? have you replaced everything on the kit? also are these surge symbols still silent? great vid

  • @ilovegoonbas92 its the dm5 pro kit that comes with surge cymbals... this all came with what i bought, and i havent added anything.. thanks and the surge cymbals are awesome but are a little louder than rubber

  • great playing man... I'm thinking about getting that kit

  • Nice laptop. Satellite A300, mines cracked :(

  • Cameron, You suck at the drums dude, give it up!!!!

Haha just messing with you, I told your dad that I really hope you go somewhere with the drums or the guitar! Keep up the music!!

    Matt

  • Hey! Im intrested of that set too. What material is the drum skins in toms / snare? are they noisy?

  • @teotius the only thing that makes a lot of noise is the bass pad, and that depends on the pedal you use... other than that the heads can be polymer (i think its called polymer) or mesh ... any 8 in head will work... Im still using the stock heads and i live in an apartment... nobody complains about noise and they feel nice

  • do people below you complain?

  • nope... but i also know not to play in the middle of the night

  • nice kit iv got the same one but in white

  • too much reverb and velocity....

  • Is the Alesis DM5 durable? And also with my drum I can hit the HI- HAT like 10 times and only hear 1 hit? Will that happen with the DM5?

  • hey what tom vioces are u using

  • can you choke the serge cymbals?

  • Normally, yes. But, the Alesis DM5 doesn't allow choked cymbals.

  • @iciclepyro so im guesing i would need another drum membrane? like a roland module? aha wtv

  • That was flawless my friend...

    Nice hat too lol

  • thanks very much, but i hardly think its flawless haha

  • I don't know if anyone knows the answer to this or not, but are the black pads that come with the surge cymbal kit any quieter or louder than the standard white ones?

  • hi

    Well played ;)

I would too change the snare sound, however :P

    Good Luck and Have Fun!

  • hmmm you should get a tighter snare sound, that weird verb you got there is ruining the whole thing. Good playing though.

  • what sounds did you used ? :]

  • @WinnieXcore mainly the 03 country set

  • thanks! do u use them as they are or u play a bit with the pitch? btw nice playing :]

  • thanks yea i mess wit em a bit, i have to or else it wont sound right when recorded

  • yeah i know sometimes the lows are waaay lows x.x

  • I have a question, how do hear your drums being recorded (while your playing) and hear the song at the same time to put on youtube like this one?

  • I have a 1/4 in to 1/8 in adapter in the speaker port of the module and a y cable that is male to two separate female 1/8 into the adapter and i just plug headphones into one end of the y and a straight cable to my computer... hope this helps

  • that last comment is to hear my drums and then to hear the song i just played it on my phone and put headphones on... the big vic firth phones are for my drums and i have the ear plug phones on under the vic ones playing the song

  • Is this kit expandable as far as sounds?

  • the module itself has a lot of sounds on it and extra ports for expansion ... so yes u can but no more than 3 or more extra.... if u would like to expand much larger then u may need an I/O brain

  • have you had any problems when you hit the hi hat and it tends to have really low volume

    then next hit sounds fine

or when you hit a crash

then keep playing, then the crash sound comes to a complete stop

sorry if that didnt make sense lol

  • hahaha i get exactly what u mean... i dont kno why it does it... but yea unfortunately that is a problem

  • Hi how does Double Bass works? Do you have to buy a double bass pedal or how does it works?

  • yes with this set, you only get one bass pad so it would be easier to buy a double pedal... on the other hand if you got money to spend and would like something different, you could buy another pad and two single pedals. hope this helped!

  • use doble bass pedal?

    nice 5/5

  • yea i used double bass

  • in the kit do you use the basic kit "dm5 pro kit with surge cymbals" or do you use any software of your pc(midi-usb or something)!

thanks for and, and keep playing, you done good!

  • i dont use software but i will when i expand the set.. it may be a while but i already have the usb i/o so all i need is more pads

  • What program did you use to record? Audacity?

  • yes

  • Love it. I bought this kit but im still waiting for delivery. Cant wait to get mine :) BTW. is there something important that i need to know, like buy anything for this to work ?

  • umm maybe some good headphones or an amp, unless you have a stereo with input or some other form of monitoring

  • nice drumming man, whats that kit called?, is it just the basic dm5 with surge cymbals or somthing else

  • the alesis dm5 pro kit with surge cymbals
