  • what a boss

  • SUCH A LEGEND.one of greatest that ever did it

  • It's sad James Ivory never won an Oscar. He's almost become an underrated director. SO good at what he does: elegant, quiet, thoughtful period dramas and comedies. I fear his craftsmanship and intelligence has been under-recognized in recent years because the films are so out of step with what the Internet age considers great (see: the passion for Nolan, Fincher, Aronofsky). I just hope history remembers James Ivory as a terrific filmmaker.

  • 0:54 she feels his .44 magnum

  • He is a pathological liar and very mean in real life. But Unforgiven is a great film.

  • @BlackenedForLife why is he a liar?

  • @JordynAS The question wasn't directed at me but I'll answer it. He is a liar because he didn't acknowledge several of his kids. He was in his 50s when he had two of his love children, but didn't acknowledge them until he was in his 70s after an unauthorized biography had called him out on it.

  • @BlackenedForLife i call bullshit.

  • @DarleneDickerson Actually he's right. Eastwood's personal life has always been a mess and he told lie after lie, had kids all over the place and didn't even acknowledge 3 of them until recently. And its not as if he was some young kid who didn't want responsibility, Clint was in his late 50s when he had some of his "secret" kids who he didn't acknowledge until he was in his 70s (after an unauthorized biography had called him out on the lies).

  • @locotaco10 it still doesn't matter. Personal life vs One of the Best Actors and Directors of all time. I'll take the 2nd, ty

  • wither altman, jordan, or ivory should have won

  • this guy is a two and a half men

  • absolutely.... he is the king...no contest.......love him...

  • It was either this, or Harland Williams in Rocketman, but hey somebody had to win.

  • william munny out of missouri ;)

  • Such a Boss

  • He's a VERY, extremely attractive man. If I were 50 years older lol...

  • Its one of those wonderful movies, i have ever seen....fabulous music which is so soft as might be sometimes heat beet seems a bit harder then the tunes.....10 out of 10

  • i cant believe he is 62 here

  • @range567W 62 and still had 2 more kids, each with a different woman, after this. Crazy

  • Something funny about The Crying Game and Unforgiven both being nominated. Kind of the opposite end of the man-spectrum, if you will.

  • 24 people need a 44 magnum enema.

  • Eastwood is the king...no contest.

  • Clint ist a hero and american legend...

  • Clint is the best

  • clint estwood restera une lezgende de cinema

  • 24 people have never won an oscar.

  • blondi=clint eastwood=the legend the icon

  • hey blondie you did it

  • Clint Eastwood and Morgan Freeman i cant express how much i like them but i would go through fire and water for them they mean so much to me... I hope i die before them i couldnt stand the great sadness to hear they had past... Every day i watch at least one movie either with Clint or Morgan-

  • Its that noob from titanic.

  • he should have kissed his wife before he went up. might be he's a bit egocentric.

  • @meNtor890 that wasn't his wife, just one of his "baby mommas"

  • FLAGS OF OUR FATHERS was a personal favorite of mine

  • he's deserved as he's amazing actor.

  • Anyone heard of PLAY MISTY FOR ME? A wonderful directing acheivment.

  • Wonderful movie and a great actor, deserved it.

  • go ahead make my day...gimme that damn oscar

  • Clint is so boring

  • Clint should have won best actor in leading role from this.. or from Gran Torino.

  • what did he say about al pacino

  • My dream, like many others' is to shake hand with the legendary Mr. Eastwood. But I live in Finland and am a student still and have no money to go to the US atm and I'd probably still not get to meet him. :( well at least I have a picture of him on the wall :)

  • I hope THIS made his day.

  • A man's man.

  • This was two months before Clint turned 63. Sitting next to him was his pregnant 41-year old girlfriend Frances Fisher. She was forbidden to tell anyone, even her closest friends, that she was pregnant, because Clint thought it might hurt his Oscar chances. Four and a half months later, she gave birth to a daughter (one month premature) named Francesca.

  • i love the look on Morgan's face:)

  • In his movies, he's a legend. In real life, well, he ruined women's lives.

  • @listentome94

    Likaboss.

  • Chuck norris checks under his bed at night for Clint Eastwood.

  • @RUPERTDOUGLAS90 hahhahhahhhaahh

  • Clint and Morgan need to pair up again so we can see this a third time!

  • 1.88 m de talent

    merci monsieur

  • Back when the Oscar's were Deserving to watch !

  • 1:25

I think that's the funniest thing I've ever seen.

  • there are legends that people hate to love. There are legends that people love to hate. Then there are legends like Clint Eastwood. After he dies there better be a national holiday (out of respect) marked in bold print till the end of time. The legend of legends is this man.

  • Clint Eastwood is a cool smooth guy!!!

  • Streisand should feel REALLY lucky she got a kiss from Clint Eastwood.

  • I would rather see directors like Kubrick, Lynch or Scorsese win this award. Eastwood is good but nothing compared to these, but his masterpiece is Mystic River.

  • morgan is amused. gene is not amused.

  • @patkajape eastwood killed him in this movie. lmao.

  • btw i love how the oscars always goes straight into the theme song when the awards are announced...nice touch...

  • Robert Altman the player....wow that is a close call....

personally i love Unforgiven more...but the player was great as well...

  • damn I love that music from movie... CLINT EASTWOOD YOU ARE TRUE LEGEND... I AM HONORED I LIVED IN YOUR TIME :) that says a lot

  • I love all Clints westerns. Unforgiven was the best one of them all. I've seen them all too. I would give High plains drifter my #2 Eastwood western spot.

  • Could anyone transcribe what he says between 1:11 and 1:118, pls?

  • @josuemaia Really?!? REALLY??!?!?!? "Pachino's throat was dry, mine is really dry"

  • /watch?v=f4qWllmJgJ0 when i want to watch a good movie I pick one of this video and I never dissapoint :))

  • he thanks the women. what a guy.

  • he's so attractive. i will never stop finding him attractive. ever.

  • @itssosarahh he looks like an old david beckham tho

  • @itssosarahh How about if he got raped by a bear and skin bleached?

Btw Morgan Freeman is always old!! Wouldn't be surpirsed if he was born with grey hair..

  • Clint Eastwood is the best movie directer!!

  • Maravilhoso!!!!!

    lindo!!!!!!!

    Alem de bonito eficiente

  • Ironically, I haven't seen any of these movies EXCEPT Unforgiven.

  • I had a dream tom cruise died tonight

  • @ty1977 he did..somewhere around the year 2005

  • clint eastwood is the only man in that list of directors who really deserved to win.

    Fuck the rest of 'em,lol

  • clint was nominated for best actor in this aswell as best picture and director,he should have won that aswell

  • Clint, I can't see any guy right now who has the same sex appeal you have! I love you!!!

  • Give Clint the Irving Thalberg next.

  • I loved it how he dedicated this movie to his masters and mentors and closed the era of westerns with such a bomb, personally I think it is the deepest western of all, combining works of Sergio Leone ,Donald Siegel and many influences before.

Maybe I should call it postmodern western, but who cares, thank you Mr. Eastwood.

  • he is brillant, greatest californian artist of the 20th century, however, this movie was overrated and did not capture his intelligence as much as it could have

  • this was the worst of all of his films (unforgiven)

  • @8data Fuck you snotball

  • A little props to the Spaghetti western eh?

  • Clint Eastwood seems like a pretty nice guy, unlike the grizzled stony hearted old bastards he portrays in all his movies

  • @breeeegs met him. not a nice guy.

  • @aak518 fuck off

  • @breeeegs i don't know i kinda like harry callahan, and the man with no name, maybe william munny not so much though. ha. masterpiece this movie!

  • @breeeegs i disagree, he is nice in the movies to.

  • omg he is the best

  • IS HE SAID PACINO IN THE FIRST ??????

  • he is the man.

  • A distingished man...

  • Clint for President

  • @adiwibowo1977 Osama and his clan will be just punks feeling lucky under President Clint's 44 Magnum

  • Clint Eastwood is the modern day version of the Duke! he is a American Icon he loves his country never hear him bad mouth America and is truly a heroe and a true man just like the Duke God bless you Clint you are a true wonderful person and American

  • @OEKCVB

    john wayne was a nazi!

  • @carlitosbuzz86

I doubt you even know what "nazi" means... Anyway, what the fuck does him supposedly being a nazi have to do with his movies or his acting ability? You should judge actors, not on their personal life, but rather by the way the perform! Duh!

Can't believe I'm writing something that's so obvious...

  • @Frolsa84 You shold give up, there are far too many ignorant people in this world and this guy probably won't take any notice of what you just said to him..

  • @Frolsa84 I fully agree!

  • So intelligent, so humble, so real, so gifted.

  • God damn he's cool

  • 23 people had it coming

  • Morgan Freeman and Clint Eastwood were never in a movie together.

    *wipes tear away*

  • @FalconAlpaca So what was Unforgiven then? Oh yes, a movie with Clint Eastwood and Morgan Freeman...

  • @FalconAlpaca ... actually, they starred in two movies together and both films received Oscars. Moreover, Eastwood directed Freeman in three different motion pictures.

  • @FalconAlpaca The fuck?

  • clint eastwood deserves to have a oscar for best actor

  • I'm gonna re-watch Unforgiven tonight!!

    "You, fat man, speak up"

  • Hearing him speak and seeing his face mannerism reminds me of Kevin Bacon. They both have a sort of rugged wear in their face.

  • @hadassah179 Your comment is ironic to me because I consider Bacon one of the last actors to work in the more laconic, inward style embodied by Eastwood, Steve McQueen, Gary Cooper, et. al.

  • Splendid film from a great talent

  • 23 people need to get off Clint's lawn!

  • there is no man that i love more than Clint Eastwood. dear god, even like this i find him unbearably attractive. so charming.

  • Notice before they announce the winner. you see the little screens of the acters and Clint is in the middle:)

  • .lbljbl lm pknkn

  • clinttttttttttt is charsmatic

  • the essence of man

  • I dread the day he leaves us

  • I love you Clint!

  • this man was 60 looking like he's was in his 40's

  • i swear i thought barbara was about to break out a song-lol

    eastwood rules man

  • It was about fucking time.

  • I just watched barbara in an aold video presenting John Wayne the oscar for True Grit best actor 69

  • And the Godly shall be honored

  • Mega Streisand!

  • @jandsbfan lol

  • @jandsbfan it's mecha-streisand, but i knew what you were talking about

  • Big Clint went from a construction worker, stunt man, a bit actor, TV hopeful, to a super star. That's one helluva journey.

  • "Who's the owner of this shithole?" Greatest entry to a room ever!

  • Clint Eastwood is my inspiration.

  • He missed out Sergio Leone! The one who got him here in the first place! lol

  • @xaxie1

He did dedicate the film to Sergio (Leone) and Don (Siegel) though.

  • @xaxie1 the good the bad and the ugly, fistful of dollars.

  • @xaxie1 ... well, he didn't thank Don Siegel, either, who directed Eastwood in five films, including "Dirty Harry." But Leone and Siegel had both passed away by this point and Eastwood offered an on-screen dedication to both of them ("For Sergio and Don') at the end of "Unforgiven."

  • @xaxie1

No, it isn't. Clint is not Clint because of Leone. He would have been here today with or without him.

  • @xaxie1 He dedicated the effin film to Leone man.

  • @xaxie1 however, the movie was dedicated to him, so I guess it's alright ;)

  • @xaxie1 He thanked Sergio and Don Siegel at the end of the film.

  • @xaxie1 Maybe he didn't mention him in the ceremony but after the credit roll of Unforgiven you can read the words: Dedicated to Sergio & Don. This is an obvious reference to Sergio Leone and Don Siegel who had both died recently by that time.

  • @xaxie1 he does when he got the best picture win, can we have that posted next please???

  • @xaxie1 he does when he got the best picture win, can we have that posted next please???

  • @xaxie1 he mentions him when he wins for best picture I think, could that be posted next please oscar channel?

  • @xaxie1 he mentions him when he wins for best picture I think, could that be posted next please oscar channel?

  • @xaxie1 he mentions him when he wins for best picture I think, could that be posted next please oscar channel?

  • @xaxie1 well, the film is already explicitly dedicated to Siegel and Leone, so maybe he thought it would have been redundant.

  • @xaxie1 Sergio Leone didn't put an Oscar in his hand -.- If it hadn't been for Eastwood himself, he would have only starred in three awesome movies and then been forgotten. But no, he made himself an ever bigger star and made his own movies, and got an Oscar for his own directing. Sergio didn't have squat to do with this Oscar. You could say the same of everyone, the screenwriter, actors, wife, dog, everyone who 'put' him there. But no, HE did it himself.

  • Eastwood is an awesome onscreen and off

  • Barbara 'The Beak' Streisand once again. Ahhhhhh!

  • disliking Clint is like disliking mom, america and apple pie

  • Clint<3

  • 23 dislikes????

  • Clint Eastwood's success isn't dependent on what one individual thinks (shamagogue thinks.) Clint Eastwood is such an excellent director that he is able to direct the films that he wants when he wants because he is almost guaranteed to be successful. Steven Spielberg supports him every time and Clint always comes in under budget and ahead of schedule. Clint should be an inspiration to all directors who want to go anywhere.

  • ...Absolutely one of the Worst and Most "Moronic" Screenplays and Movies ever produced and...inflicted on America! It was actually Dumber and (unintentionally) Funnier than The Attack of the Killer Tomatoes!

  • @Shamagogue one of the worst and most moronic comments on youtube.

  • @Shamagogue You didn't like it?

  • @Shamagogue how old are you kid? fuckin 10? clearly you dont know shit about movies. attack of the killer tomatoes?? really? grow up. yer stupid. eastwood's a fuckin beauty

  • "Unforgiven" is one amazing movie.

  • wow, streisand gave john wayne and clint their oscars

  • @chowfat11 haha I was just gonna post a comment saying, thumbs up if you were just watching the John Wayne Oscar win lol

  • WOW, I forgot "The Player" actually got NOMINATED ... considering how much of a scathing attack on Hollyweird that brilliant film is, that's quite amazing!

  • the man the myth the legend

  • Oscars are so snooooooty

  • the woman sitting next to Clint , Frances Fisher, was 3 months pregnant here. She was sworn to secrecy to not tell anyone she was pregnant, including her closest friends, until after the ceremony, because Clint was afraid it would hurt his Oscar chances. They split a year later, then Clint married Dina Ruiz two years after that.
