@ranchok29 That's a common thing for rural people in Texas & Oklahoma, or it was when I was a kid during the 60s.. My grandfather called me that all the time when he was raising me. Other men old enough used it for the girls they were raising, too. Don't know about them, but from my Pa-paw, it was purely affectionate.
