@Drumlady12 First off, you should NEVER ride out a tornado in a vehicle of any kind. A large tornado can easily pick it up and throw it and if its weaker, debris could still fly around and break a window, hit you, kill or severly injury you. What you need to do is get out of your vehicle and get into the nearest ditch and protect your head and face. Also, NEVER hid under a overpass! Overpasses act as a vaccum and you'd get sucked out for sure. And no, you can not tell how powerful a tornado is

However, if its a "wedge" tornado its most likely a EF3 or higher . Also, for an EF4-EF5 you really need to be underground to survive something like that and even that isn't a guarntee. most of the trash talkers live in flat farmland areas and have no idea how rare it is to see one of these with the terrain here (up north toward Erie is a different ballgame, it is much more flat)... They were screaming and running around inside, and I was just chilling on the front porch watching it move. I love this weather. But I've also grown up in this weather. I've reacted this way during a hurricane because I'd never been in one before, so I can't judge him. I just think it's super cute, haha. If I was ever in an earthquake I'd probably shit myself. Hang in there tornado boy! I'm originally from Latrobe and I know it's rare for a tornado to hit that area. Uh, OK. Let's clear up a misconception. This is not an area that "never" sees tornadoes. They're not as common as in the Midwest, but they DO happen in Western PA.

The tornado was actually very bad for this part of the US especially for this time of year. All in all 60 houses were damaged and 30 were completely destroyed! This was a very scary day for people locally and I think he did a great job filming it and describing it!

Haha I live around there and the hail was intense as hell and funnel clouds formed but we didn't have a big tornado. A couple roofs were torn off though in some areas though

I think the last one I can even remember hearing about was 1982 or so?... this doesn't include the very small ones that they aren't even sure we're actual tornadoes (or micro bursts) that hit Kennywood and Mt Washington ...that said don't sweat it kid, i probably would have shat right in my pants

Haha, this is cute. A lot of my friends from up North flipped like this when we had a tornado a couple of years ago. They were screaming and running around inside, and I was just chilling on the front porch watching it move. I love this weather. But I've also grown up in this weather. I've reacted this way during a hurricane because I'd never been in one before, so I can't judge him. I just think it's super cute, haha. If I was ever in an earthquake I'd probably shit myself. No worries, dude.

Hang in there tornado boy! I'm originally from Latrobe and I know it's rare for a tornado to hit that area. Don't feel bad about the accent either, I live in Connecticut and I miss our western PA twang. I love the video, glad your home wasn't hit but sad that so many others had damage done. Enjoy the bit of fame, who knows where it will take you. The best to you and your family. I'm a bit homesick now even at 62!!

For everyone saying this kid needs to chill out, because the tornado wasn't that bad, and saying crap like "I've seen worse" Nobody actually asked you! In Pittsburgh, tornadoes are a rare occurance. Forgive the kid for getting excited or worried- it's not something you see every day up here. Nobody actually asked you about your experience with tornadoes XD
And this is actually really funny though, the end was hilarious. That storm was intense too! Scared me to death :P

Uh, OK. Let's clear up a misconception. This is not an area that "never" sees tornadoes. They're not as common as in the Midwest, but they DO happen in Western PA.
Also, this kid is a shining example of a bad Pittsburghese accent!

The tornado was actually very bad for this part of the US especially for this time of year. All in all 60 houses were damaged and 30 were completely destroyed! This was a very scary day for people locally and I think he did a great job filming it and describing it!

What amazes me is people saying this is fake because of the kids reaction?
The Camera doesn't do the event Justice and if the Tornado was that close and landed, chances are that whole house is going.
Of course the Kid is scared.
He lives in a area without Tornadoes and when he does see a Tornado, it's coming down on his house.
That's a good reason to freak out people.

Haha I live around there and the hail was intense as hell and funnel clouds formed but we didn't have a big tornado. A couple roofs were torn off though in some areas though
