  • Thank you very much for the video.

I visited Greece twice and felt in love with this country and its people.

  • Thank you so much! You are right! My father told me over and over the correct pronunciation, and I couldn't find it anywhere. This explains it! This is so fantastic. I will look forward to my visit and am planning to stay in a hotel in Vlahokerasia. It's the only place I could find nearby.

I really enjoyed your film. My father is going to watch it too. I am in the movie business myself! I have been in either in front of of behind the camera in production for more than 20 years!

    Thanks!!

  • Dear Taryn,

I checked with my father & the name Chilivis he believes is not from Vlahokerasia, but from the next village over, formerly called Arvanitokerasia, today renamed to Kerasea. You pass through Kerasea to get to Vlahokerasia.

You can maybe try calling the local govt office (located in Vlahokerasia) for more info? +(30) 2710-382467

    Thanks for watching my film!

  • I think this is the village my grandfather, Peter Nickolas Chilivis, was from. He came to the USA in 1906. I will be visiting there on September 18 or 19, 2011. His cousin, Andrew Chilivis, was from there. Andrew was the father of Tony & Katherine Chilivis. I hope I can find some relatives and learn more about my heritage! The name could have also been spelled Cheleves or Tsilivis? My name is Taryn Chilivis. If anyone reads this who can pass along the info, that would be great! Thanks.

  • How cute. Kosti's* mom is preparing his dinner

  • My mom too! and her brother was in the video. Can't believe it either.

There was also a cafe owner interviewed that I used to hang out with during my summer vacations in Greece as a kid in the mid 80's. Good Stuff! thanks for posting.

    Niko
