What the hell were the Broncos thinking with THIS trade? Chicago will be making a return trip to the Super Bowl soon. Cutler is legit- and comparisons to Jeff George are absurd. Cutler's a bit "quirky" and pampered- but he's no team-wrecker IMHO.
I DO think McDaniels will eventually get the Broncos turned around (provided they draft well) b/c he's a brash, bright young coach in the style of a young Gruden or Shanahan. Thanks to this trade though it's going to take 2 or 3 seasons longer...

His start to the season last year wasn't quite as hot as you think it was, and the Broncos success was due to coaching and the talent we had acquired like Marshall, Royal and Stokley, not necessarily Cutler. Not to mention he almost single handedly blew that first game against San Diego and DID bow the last three. As for the Broncos getting another great QB I'm not really too worried.

I have no doubt Cutler would have got cut in a few years after Shannahan was fired anyway Bolan is looking to build another super team, like we had in the last 90's. I'm more pissed about loosing Shannahan and Marshall (as we will for sure next season) than I was about loosing Cutler. Cutler is replaceable, Marshall is gonna be a hall of farmer.
Franchise QB's are harder to replace. Marshall is going to be traded and who knows what he'll do during the regular season. Orton is not an accurate passer after 20 yards. Receivers have to slow down to catch the ball when the it's thrown their way.
