damn that sounds sexy, i just bought a k&n air intake system for my 97 chevy, already have dual flowmasters, hypertech powerprogrammer, and hedman headers, i can't wait to install it within the next few days. does it really give a noticeable power gain?
i got the k&n Fuel Injection Performance kit 57 series and my hedman headers i love. the k&n adds about 12 horsepower and wen u stomp on it u can here the intake sucking in all the air, it makes it sound real throaty. and my headers added on another 25-30 horsepower, they are a big difference, i highly recommend it. i have a short video clip on my site if u want to check it out
Great video!! Sounds perfect!! I have the same truck and am putting the k&n 77 series intake on it. I'm running a magnaflow 3 inch catback exhaust. Great video, k&n is the shit!!
Hell yea! faster acceleration and hell of alot more high end torque plus that air gulping sound i cant get enough of! mpg is fairly the same with almost 1mpg more at highway speeds.
@DLFATPAT07 I have the same truck, same intake, and the only difference is the sound, 1mpg, and maybe, MAYBE 5ft lbs at 5500RPMS. Even the web site states only a 9hp gain at top end. I didnt noice any difference other than the sound.
the chrome tubing is pointless, its called a "cold air intake" for a reason. chrome attracts heat, therefore defeats the main purpose of it, thats why the chrome ones are cheaper. but sounds good none the less, I have a 03 Z71 as well with the same intake and love it, you should check out my vids.
