We all loved John. We love him still. John, we miss you so much! The world has never been the same. 30 years have passed and it still hurts just as much as it did the day it happened. I cried and cried for days on end. I was only 17 then and I love him as much now as I did back then...in fact, even more. John said he didn't want to be a "dead hero". He's not. He still lives in our hearts and I'll love him till the day I die.
This song is a very touching tribute to the late John Lennon, who was the intellect of the Beatles. This is one of my favorite Elton John songs. Elton John almost always refuses to perform this song because it brings up emotional memories of his friend John Lennon. If your lucky to ever hear Elton John perform this song live, you should feel very lucky.
Awesome work Jodi, a fitting tribute to a man we lost 29 years ago today, a good way to finish off my day thinking about the true Legend that was John Winston Lennon.
@etbella3 And if John Lennon had been born in America, he would have been the head Mousketeer -- who's the leader of the club that's made for you and me? John Lennon, that's who.

Communism is the corruption of a dream of justice. -- Adlai Stevenson
Curious how Marxists never seem to stay non-violent too, and, in fact, become hyper-violent.
Maybe that's why John died: so he wouldn't have to witness the idiocy of his philosophy played out before his eyes.

Johnny Angel, you're an angel to me. P.S. Fuck Richard Nixon.

I know God loves me because he put me on this planet at the same time John Lennon was here.
