@73GunMan Yes we go hunting every fall. He loves it and is a very good pointer. But in the summer he loves to fish. I sometimes think he likes that more than hunting. He will pick up a Bluegill and just walk around with it in his mouth

@Rynorod So true! Maverick could literally run for hours! The only time I tired him out was when we went boating and I put on his life jacket for him and "walked" him in the water for a while... there wasn't any land near by but when he got tired he went right to the boat... and he slept (rarity)!

We used to have 2 Weim's and walked them twice a day. Within half hour of getting home this is how they would behave. Biggest attention seekers ever. But by far, the best dogs in the world.
