  • That engine :) that lack of heel and tow :(

  • Heaven.

  • Listening to this on high quality headphones, max volume, closest thing you can get to being there. I gotta say, BEST SOUND EVER.

  • ooomamamamamamamamiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiia

  • that is the most awesome fuckin sound.

  • Great car I must see. Saw the one from AH-racing last weekend in Zolder. They had a heck diffusor like an airplane. Real awesome and they were also a bit quicker through the corners. Flat out

  • Would be awesome to hear some proper rev matches!! That motor sounds lovely. What does she rev up to?

  • @m42b14 9000 rpm

  • LOL surely you mean BIMMER!!!! A beamer is a motorcycle ;-)

    Damn I love this video!

  • what a great machine!

unfortunately the video is badly edited.

  • I know someone who has the bare chassis and body of one of these pro cars in his shop, I got to see it, it's awesome he is in the process of putting it back together.

  • 1:04 to 1:09... AMAZING!!!

  • Fanbloodytastic - you could use a bit of heel and toe on the downshifts though...

  • Love the whistle of those twin turbos!!!

  • @rekkof Which twin turbos??????????????????????

  • @Juggernaut30 335XI Dinan stage 3 kit 420 bhp it is so fun in the rain (in Oregon)

  • @rekkof me too! too bad the M1 is NA though..

  • awesome

  • that's a pretty!!!

  • jeez, how much does his flywheel weigh? the rpms drop like a sack of rocks when the clutch is in. can't be more than a few pounds.

  • Great engine sound from this M1! Nice video edit as well.

  • Exactly how high is McInerny revving the motor at his WOT upshifts? I can see the needle on the tach, but can't exactly make out the numbers. As the owner of a built S38 powered M6, I'd really like to know how many RPMs I have to spin to get sound like that :D

  • @DefactoM6 If I'm seeing it right, 9500rpm

  • What an awesome soun!!

  • great car

    great sound

    bmw /// power !!!!!

  • Proof positive that there is a god, and he is great.

  • @DefactoM6 or humans are fucking awesome. whichever you want really...

  • TROP BEAU MERCI pour les oreilles

  • I think it would be pretty honorable to get hit by one of those (at the beginning of the video in the pits). Sounds weird, I know, but how many people can say that they got hit by a real M1 race car ;)

  • w bmw..da uno che ha sempre avuto bmw!!! ;o)

  • UN BE LIVEABLE !!!!

  • Because you can drive better in a video game can't you?

Anyone let you have a go in a classic M1 Procar that's worth a fortune before? In real life...

  • I love driving in video games, but it's still nothing like real life. So amen to that Dominguero.

If you want to live past the video games Martin, do good in school, get yourself into a good college, and get a nice job. I'm going to school to be a mechanical engineer, and hopefully will one day be in the engineering dept. of Audi. That's my passion. Video games just give you something to do on the way.

  • 4:13 - No heal and toe.

  • Why would he heel-toe a shift when you're puttering along waiting to pass the car in front of him? I don't think the steering wheel wiggle was a result of the car being upset since he was driving at about 5/10ths behind that jag(?) there.

  • But he still gets to drive one of the coolest cars in history instead of looking at someone else doing it on youtube...

  • Who says I haven't driven one?

  • Post a vid, let us know how you shift.

  • There's no better engine sounds than beemers old racing sixes like this (m88/1)!

  • Truly wonderful.

    magnificent.
