  • "... and even if they walk out, we have your money." lol

  • Cedric sure does like slapping his right leg.

  • I'm having trouble believing that's the same Omar dancing in Coachella.

  • To those who don't know, Henry Rollins didn't actually interview them in this. They admitted it on the Nardwuar interview.

  • im sorry, but if you want to see a real interview, see nardwuar vs the mars volta. youll see how they really are

  • AT THE DRIVE IN

  • VIVA MEXICO CABRONES!!!!!!!

  • we have your money- he just pulled a charlie sheen lol i love it

  • Mars Volta with Henry Rollins is officially known as the day that most geniuses stood in the same room.

  • These guys are gods.

  • Omar always seems nervous in the interviews I've seen of him. Pretty odd considering he's a musical genius used to playing in front of thousands.

Maybe he just tunes them out and pretends it's just him out there. :)

  • @17Revolution76

or maybe his brain is a little fried from drugs?

  • @ixlikextoxdansex Dudes brilliant, regardless. I'm feeling a little fried myself so I can't say anything.

  • MEXICO FLAG!!

  • That dude looks so nervous.

  • I'm tired of people taking up for the band for being on drugs, obviosly people who comment on them being and looking high know what there talking about because they do drugs, besides the known fact that they do have drug problems, quit preeching your "live above the influence" crap on here, people who do drugs make that chioce you don't do drugs thats cool I have plenty of friends who don't but don't put us the ones who do them down, because we speak truth.

  • @Nigel1792 There not on drugs they used to be but not anymore.Omar has said this in interviews he doesent even drink now

  • Comment removed

  • @Nigel1792 I'm straight-edge, but I have no problem with other people doing drugs. I don't see why anyone should tell someone else what they can't do to their own body, unless it's really harming someone. To me, it's just a personal choice. I like to live my life without having to use substances to enhance it, because it's just not natural or real to me.

  • @NINmindfreak27 Thank you for the non negative comment.

  • The last comment might offend some, but it was a joke that was also serious about the way the whole industry is run. It's all singles and you can have that opportunity with a major label or the devil.

  • haters!

  • and music experience omar has..

anyway.. all this coming from a musician.. if you are one and ever wrote a song you would see sometimes your ear drives you into a "pop song" form, not on purpose, it just makes the music more enjoyable

  • and music experience and knowledge omar has, for crytizing TMV in that particular way..

Anyway.. all of this coming from a musician.. just for you to know, i also make some music, and i never think of the form, but when i end it, they usually have "pop form", it just sounds nice and is what my ear leads me to.

  • for sure, like any other band in the planet. And they (omar actually) just makes the music (the most important thing, what's inside, not the form) without thinking what people would like, and actually for a 1 man composition it's far more complex than any "famous" band out there, i guess that messing around with forms he have found that the "pop form" (how you called it) is the way he likes his music to sound..

Anyway, idk who you are, but i can say for certain you lack the talent, creativity..

  • cause u know, the point in writing music is not about people think of it, is to expressing feelings and doing what you like and the way you like it, i don't think no one likes a formless song, some people do that trying to be different on porpuse, but if you do it on purpose then simply you are a sheep, a poser, and nothing else

Anyway, the point was, complexity is not based in the FORM of the music, cause the form can be altered by any retard to make it sound weird, tmv wants to sound nice

  • i listened to this album after 3 glasses of absinthe. Best thing I ever did.

  • Free energy has been here for a while ,But the Oil coporations life depends on covering this up,Find the real deal, a free energy device at LT-MAGNET-MOTORdotCOM ,Be part of the revolution!

  • it all comes down to wether you dig it or not.

    I'm diggin it.

  • @Jason011987

    1. if you're a good musician it should only take a small amount of time to learn each part. particularly if you are familiar with the chords used.

    2. not having a "process" doesn't mean it's lacking thought, it must come naturally to them (i have no idea how you can misinterpret that)

    5. being a musician is a job! jobs are for making money. and it doesnt mean they're comprimising on quality

    6. more opportunities, resources and money = more success and better shows.

  • @1992godsmack I think you, & many others, are evaluating them through rose-coloured goggles.

    1. The best musicians need no practise time & just sight read. The difference between them & TMV is one necessity. TMV claim it to be a meaningful creative choice–I'm not buying it.

    2. It coming to them naturally implies thoughtlessness.

    5. I agree they aren't compromising on quality, as I don't think they could do better.

    6. True. But don't you find it telling that they fit the major label mould?

  • @Jason011987 there's no difference between seeing them through "rose coloured goggles" or mud covered ones.... you have you're opinion and i have mine, no one can say who's right or wrong, music is all personal choice there's no fact or fiction to peoples opinions. all our points can be argued & none proven. that was the point i was trying to make. & to be honest they're not even a band i'm really into but i applaud them on their creativity & respect them as artists but that's just my OPINION.

  • @1992godsmack I don't like that TMV aren't very good, but I'm not going to not accept the fact on that basis.

People choose music to hear. True.

    People choose goodness. False.

It is fact that Shakespeare is a great writer. His work is rich in value. E.g. Originality. This is measured by analysis & comparisons to other works.

There is more to art than tingly feelings. A deeper understanding of it (like any discipline) requires work, & not the pathetic intellectual cowardice you've articulated.

  • @Jason011987 It coming naturally to them doesn't mean it's thoughtless. That is ridiculous. There are the intuitive and sensitive types, and then the rigid and overly logical. Both can be concerned with details. They aren't an easy band to get into, what they create is at times profoundly complex on the aural listener.

  • @ScarlettPluto Allow me to clarify. By 'thoughtless,' I meant: lacking in any thought worth a fuck.

The Mars Volta's music isn't all that complex (let alone profoundly). For one thing, all of their songs use standard pop song form (Intro, Verse, Chorus, Verse, Chorus, Bridge, Chorus, Out). And if it is complex, it's only so in a very literal, superficial sense. It's certainly not complex in terms of meaning.

P.S. The 'aural listener'? As opposed to the visual or olfactory listener?

  • @Jason011987 Yeah, I'm done. You are a twat. Thought there was a little more to you. You ain't got a clue. You generalize too much with what you opine so forcefully about.

And you use far too much pop psychology for my liking. See ya.

  • @ScarlettPluto Well, I'll have the last word then, shall I?

    1. You're only done because your last comments were indefensibly stupid.

    2. That's funny, I never thought there was anything much to you.

    3. A clue about what?

    4. I've generalized. So what? Like you haven't (see point #3). It's 400 characters per comment, what the fuck do you want?

    5. I've used no pop psychology, let alone 'far too much' of it. And you call me clueless.

    Later Fuck Face! :)

  • @Jason011987 Well if mars volta isn't "complex" then what is? Name a few bands please i would proudly hear them :)

The song form doesn't makes a song more simple or more complex.. why the fuck did you say that?

So if they take one SAME song they have and change it's form into, Chorus(x2) outro, bridge, verse, verse, chorus, intro, it would be a COMPLEX song?

It just would turnout FORMLESS and UGLY, trying to be different on purpose.. wich is just stupid and miss the whole point..

  • fuck my pussy baby!

  • i love miley cyrus. She is the best artist in the world. She is super cool and is better looking than these hooligans.

  • @greenplastic69 funny

  • @kidkrim you saw what I did there..... hahaha

  • @greenplastic69 oh yes, because of course we judge artists based on their looks than their music right? ;)

  • i know them. fleafly? are you my bassplayer? exit747????hahaha

  • 1. Taking 5-10 minutes to learn each part—flippant about art much?

    2. Not thinking about their music or having a process—they're music is thoughtless.

    3. Breaking up the process like one would do for a movie—how about a musical process, you know, for music?

    4. Getting bored really quickly—well, I would too if my music lacked substance.

    5. Putting records out quickly and liking obstacles = Getting more money quickly and liking money.

    6. Working for a big label—otherwise known as 'selling arse.'

  • @Jason011987 7. taking the time to bitch about it.--- needs attention.

  • @waterbuffalospice You leave all my points standing. Good.

  • @Jason011987 Unless you have a background in composing music and being very successful at it, I don't think you have any weight to throw around criticizing those who are very successful, experienced and respected in the area. I think you'll also find that many very talented artists have a similarly visceral, unstructured approach to creating, as it is primary an emotional process and spontaneous flashes of inspiration often yield the best results. You don't sound like a musician to me honestly.

  • @idontlivetoday What area? The area of selling records to indie rock teenagers. That's some area.

If I need that kind of background to criticize them, then you will need it praise and defend them.

You say: visceral, unconstructed, emotional, and spontaneous. I say: careless, unconstructed (that's bad by the way), melodramatic, and flippant.

  • jason just shat on you my friend

  • @Jason011987 hey man nice job basically making a straw-man argument and taking them way too literally

when they say they don't have a process they mean that it just comes naturally to them (i.e. "we just 'do'").

it's ok to not like the mars volta, but trying to construct some argument of why their music is intrinsically bad based off of quotes from an interview is really really ridiculous.

P.S. this is just my opinion, but breaking apart the process just leads to more interesting results

  • @taylorbortnerathing I agree with you that that's what they meant. I didn't say otherwise. My comment stands.

What I wrote wasn't an argument, it was a list of 6 thoughts I had when watching the interview. I'm sorry to see they don't resonate with you. It also means I didn't argue that 'their music was intrinsically bad.'

Now, you've straw manned me at least twice there. How does it go? Check yourself before you something yourself...

  • @Jason011987 if it's not an argument, then why are you worried about people "leaving your points standing" as you've said in previous comments

if those are just thoughts to yourself, great. you're allowed to think them and certainly allowed to share them with people on the internet, but it shouldn't come as a surprise to you that people don't agree with them (or that people get overly offended by them, resulting in unnecessary personal attacks).

  • @taylorbortnerathing Because my points were left standing.

I'm glad I'm allowed to think thoughts.

  • @Jason011987 the point i was making is that you are just posting your reaction to what their saying, and you're not actually making points that are backed up by anything

and even if you were, you claimed that you're not making an argument, so it isn't actually anyone's job to take down your points because there is no argument

so there is no reason to even comment that no one left your points standing, because your points don't exist, and if they did, they aren't even constructing an argument.

  • @taylorbortnerathing My points are backed up by (what should be) common sense.

I think if someone wants to disagree with what I wrote, they should address the specifics of it. If instead, they choose to make a childish speculation about my motivation for posting, they do nothing to negate the validity of my observations. I just thought that would be worth pointing out.

How dare you doubt the existence of my points. Shame on you...

  • @Jason011987 No matter how flavoursome your language is...you are plain and simply a remote viewer in a 'common sense' prison. You have prison vision. Tunnel man. Too many willyboys like you flying around in the world thinking they're the professor of everything. Scum bag.

  • @ScarlettPluto I'm glad to say I can return your compliment concerning flavoursome language, but am sorry to say yours seems to lack the sense bit (imprisoning as it is).

I don't think I'm a professor. I only insist that there is truth to be professed.

I feel sorry for you my hippie friend. Making sense is the only path to truth, and, as we know, the truth will set you free. And though we do need to remain open-minded, we shouldn't be so open-minded that our brains fall out. Peace.

  • @Jason011987 Your diction is good, I'll give ya that but you seem overtly rigid about what makes a musician accomplished, engaging or interesting. There's not a whole deal of merit in you still raving about TMV, as you ain't gonna change stronger minds that enjoy them. There are many types of musical procedures that one takes. You don't need to be able to sight-read to be a good musician. Theory came after the act of musical creation. It's a highly useful tool to be savvy with theory.

  • @ScarlettPluto I'm not here to change minds. I just don't want the saying of stupid shit let go. Here's how it's gone down: I made a comment, people questioned it, & I answered them.

You should read more closely. I claimed that the BEST musicians can sight-read.

  • @Jason011987 Quite hilarious that you would be calling me a hippie. There ain't much wrong with hippies, and never was.

  • @Jason011987 You are quite the twat-end.

  • @ScarlettPluto Aah, so clever. You must be a Mars Volta fan.

  • @Jason011987 I'm the man who points out the plebs in society who squirm around on 'ere.

  • @Jason011987

1- They wrote it, they know it.

2- Thoughts can come out as words or emotion or music or images or.. need I go on? They just mean they don't force a song out for the hell of it.

3- What process is this? They're creative processes that can only be defined by the people employing them. We all create differently. And analogies exist.

    4- They enjoy their music...

    5- So?

6- If you have a product and that is the best way from which you can get means, you use it.

  • @poetaviolinista Yeah, none of that is what they said.

    1. They can't be enjoying their music too much if they're getting 'bored really quickly.'

    2. Thoughts and emotions are different things.

    3. Your numbers 1 & 3 don't make sense.

  • i like how theyre representin mexico in the back there

  • @vanessaaa23 fuckin A

  • @JQmusical who, me??

  • @vanessaaa23 you've never heard the phrase "Fucking A"???

  • @JQmusical yeah i was baked

  • @vanessaaa23 fuckin A, lol

  • Mars Volta, Opeth, Mastodon and Mew most be the best progbands in the world. The best ever in general!

  • @JokerHimself shit man, listen to some 70s prog

  • you know what i just fuckin realized most artists once they get older they suck but omar and cedric have never sucked

  • @hermanmerman18

nah. they prolly sucked when tthey were younger.

  • @DecapitateTheChrist maybe but i doubt it and every atdi song ive heard is good so

  • Y'know, I just noticed that these guys are damn good dressers

  • The Mars Volta is amazing.

Drug users? Who cares? Most of the bands that have came out ion last 20 years are clean and they are shit. It's a FACT that musicians who have taken drugs have made MUCH better music then the sober ones.

Doubters, I refer you to Bill Hicks' "drugs have done good things" rant, and if you disagree, I leave you to ponder in your mindless cesspool of bullshit propaganda of American bullshit who condemns users while at the same time corners the market with the CIA.

  • @BlackAcid1313, dude, are you stupid? Taking drugs dosn't make anyone a better musician. It might boost their creativity, but has nothing to do with skill in the music arts. Bands that arn't stoners think they don't need a creativity boost. I'm not saying clean bands are better, nor otherwise. Learn some common sence... this Bill Hicks might be meaning something totally different. And don't flame unless you know 100% sure that you're right.

  • @nickhenigman

I never said drugs make a better musician. I said, "They make MUCH better music" and it is a fact.

Name me five clean and sober bands and I'll name you ten BETTER bands that used drugs.

Am I stupid? No, I am quite educated.

Skill doesn't make good music... look at dream theater. Great musicians who can't write a good song.

  • @BlackAcid1313, well, you obviously don't know the correct definition of muscian.

  • Ever heard of Frank Zappa? Nobody needs drugs to be creative or better musicians. As matter of fact you are claiming your opinions to be facts. I love Bill Hicks, but thats no reason to assume that everyone needs to do drugs to be functional. Bill Hicks liked anything that was kick ass, ballsy, and had soul. Anything Hendrix-like. The Mars Volta are clean now, but Hendrix-like. They sound like King Crimson, Hendrix, Santana, Frank Zappa, Led Zeppelin, and Pink Floyd all had a love child.

  • @BigTymerPimp Once again... I didn't say anyone NEEDED to take drugs. I was just pointing out that most of the great bands used drugs. And the ones who do use drugs usually make better music. I also never said you need to take drugs to be functional.

Some of you people really need to work on your reading skills.

  • Look man I'm not going to argue about drugs and music so lets just call opinions, opinions and be happy that you even enjoy Bill Hicks as a social commentator. But, you have to remember George Michael was a big time coke head and his music sucked. Poison sucked. Motley Crue sucked. Drugs do not make you a virtuoso. The creative background and music experience has to be there before. Drugs act as motivator and a comforter. I can name to you just as many bands that took drugs and suck musically.

  • @BigTymerPimp Very, very true.

Drugs + No Talent = No Talent

    Drugs + Talent = Superiority

  • @GuitarAntiHeroe Talent=Superiority

  • @GuitarAntiHeroe kinda an ego/ boundary dissolution..via ego medicines...not instant gratifications..perhaps

  • @BlackAcid1313 what you gotta realize is that the "great bands" you're probably talking about are ones from the 70's, a time when just about everyone was on drugs. They were all just creative people that were essentially drawn to drugs in part because of the setting. There have been hundreds of studies on the kinds of people that are attracted to drugs, and most of them point to people who are very creative. There isn't necessarily a correlation between drugs and quality of art, just that artist

  • I never thought I would here Van Der Graaf Generator mentioned on a place like the Henry Rollins show. I bet most of you don't even know who they are.

  • this band is going to inspire the fuck out of my writing.

  • @xBillyTheKidx I know right? They're so amazing. :'( tears of joy.

  • In Their 30's?? Fuckers Look Like They're 19 n Shit Hahaha Awesome!

  • yes, a pair of creative geniuses!! It is so great to see a pair of muscians so in tune to each other and still creating such innovative incredible music. . .

  • And now, while i do believe they've been through all of that, i seriously don't think that every video of them on youtube features them drugged, especially not in recent time, they're done with that shit now. Come up with something new people, it's easy to spot some1 high or on some weird shit, top pouring bullshit all over these videos.

  • @djjohn8 you can't always tell when someone is on drugs. especially someone experienced with using drugs. and some people look like they're on drugs when they're not.. jim breuer for example.

  • @djjohn8 Yeah, ever since that one key boardest dude

(sorry cant remember the guys name) died cedric ended his addictions

  • A thing i don't fukken get: How people keep bringing drugs up in youtube comments, like when a video such as this CLEARLY them "clean". It's ridicolous, people are grasping at straws, "oh look he's uncomfortable, he must be high!", "he said/did that minor thing - he´s on crack!" etc. etc., just shut the hell up please.

  • @djjohn8 Totally agree

  • Comment removed

  • @Nigel1792 Bah.... Troll, i'll bite:

I stated in my second comment that i aknowledged their previous drug use, and never in any of my comments have i stated that i don't do drugs or dislike people doing it - so you completely missed the point.

The point was that even tho TMV DID that, they're DONE with it now, and people should stop accusing them of it. I mean, it must be hella annoying for them to constantly hear about it.

  • @mrdjjohn8 Good point sorry I'm dumb your right thank you for not freaking out on me.

  • @Nigel1792 No probs. Besides, you know what they say about arguing over tha intarwebs... ;-)

  • @djjohn8 That may be true, and most MV fans would know that they don't do drugs anymore, but for the most part, drugs use and abuse and music, particularly amongst the people making the music, are synonymous with each other. whether thats just because its a stereotypical reason or a creative reason, the fact still remains. I'm not saying all musicians use drugs, but what I am saying is that time and time again from countless interviews we've been conditioned to think that musicians are on drugs

  • @koolmaaan I agree 100%. It's pretty much TMV's own fault, seing as they absolutely did alot of drugs previously. Nonetheless, after so long, "fans" still ripping on them bc. of that stuff will keep annoying me ;-)

  • @koolmaaan they don't do meth anymore. they still smoke pot.

  • @djjohn8 why do you care so much about him not being on drugs, i mean yeah i'm almost certain he hasn't done drugs since probably 2003 or 04 but if he was on drugs right now would i care? no should you care? fuck no stop complaining about something that has nothing to do with you because a couple of people wrote a comment

  • @hjstuckey I don't care very much. But since we're going down that road, why do you even care about what i care about? Shouldn't you actually then stop complaining about what i'm complaining about, or have i misunderstood you entirely? You're telling me not to comment or care in a comment clearly showing that you care, it seems awfully backwards to me. ;-)

Anyways, ppl can write whatever they want. Common sense on youtube is too much to ask, i know.

  • Omar is probably a genius. Look at how uncomfortable he looks.

  • Drugs? :)

  • On the first question he answered it pretty much describes how the music industry owns all it's musicians and controls their material to fit whatever agenda they wish to emulate... Hence, forming the fresh minds of future generations...

  • so completely wrong, he was referring to omar being the controller and 'director' of the process, which he is.

  • @jagerandweed

Lol. So basically you're trying to sound poetic and trash the mars volta at the same time while hiding behind your computer screen where you can create your own 'smart' persona? Ok. as long as you don't claim to be intelligent or creative

  • @jagerandweed You sound like a fag.

  • they look all nervous haha rubbing their hand together and whatnot

  • @jagerandweed can you please point us in the direction of the night you played more styles than tmv have played? what does playing to the hipsters mean? there are a lot of words in your comment but you don't seem to be saying too much.

  • @jagerandweed they're not claiming to be musically progressive or diverse at all, they just do what they do and here they're explaining the different styles that they incorporate just because that's what influences them. the fact that you're trying to act superior to professional award winning musicians just makes you look like a fool.

  • so where are your records at? id like to hear your stuff

  • sounds like you're trying to say, "I can do what they do, but that would be lame. So i'm just gunna sit here and drink jager and smoke weed. That'll change the world. Just sit here and play some sweet licks to myself on my 2500 dollar guitar. And no one will ever here them except me. yeah, and fuck hipsters." The fact that you have to throw people into a category like that means you don't know anything about the esoteric theology you tried to preach in your above comment. You're just a quote.

  • Give us the money, we make our record... if you wanna make a trailer.. eh obsessed on one little piece it's fine with us 'cuz people will come see the film... and even if they walk out, we have your money.

You guys rock so fucking hard! Exelent! :D

  • cedric is the man!!

  • I love Amputechture, way more than I do Bedlam and Octahedron (although they are still excellent albums).

  • Latin Power, rock on Mexico !!!

  • Omar is always moving around in every interview ive seen...i love it..haha

  • quien dijo que méxico solo podia sacar a papanatas como elizalde, y a putos como juanga. MARS VOLTA RULEZ

  • I like what they had to say about influences... music is music, keep yourself from getting bored and mix it up!

who knows maybe thats the next genre

  • if alot of ambience annoys you, then you're just no high enough

  • they figity

  • Alot of people diss Amp. I think it's one of their best. I hated Bedlam and Frances you can only listen to it a little before too much ambience annoys you.

  • i love all the mars volta albums. i was hesitant at first for octahedron because i thought another bedlam was coming. which i was wasn't that psyched about. i love bedlam but another one would be a lot to handle. however, in true MV fashion, they delivered something different as they do with every album. i think a real MV fan is just waiting to see what they do next instead of hoping they repeat the past. cause they won't. and would you really like them if they did?

  • Amputechture is my favorite

  • it was the first album i got by them and i fell in love

and now i own EVERY album

  • So do I... Every time I listen to that album I hear new sounds, it's really amazing. Alot of fans are asking for another De-Loused, I'm asking they make another Amputechture.

  • i love this band they get people amped at their shows no one should hate

  • Amputechture is probably my least favorite. There's only two songs that I like from there. There! Does that mean I don't like the mars Volta? But yet Frances the mute is my favorite. I think you need to come up with some better opinions.

  • What is a 'good' opinion?

  • a 'good' opinion?

one that is well thought out, with a pre-existing knowledge or (at least a little)research of what the said opinion is about.

so basically, i cant say 'man, that olympic diver blows.' because im not a diver. i have no knowledge of diving skill or technique or etiquette. that would be a bad opinion.

  • In your opinion, that would be a bad opinion.

  • Hahahaha...i like you!

  • it blows my mind when people hate on Amputechture- By far, some of their best work- beautifully constructed album- anyone that didnt like it doesnt really like the mars volta in my opinion

  • THANK YOU! I thought I was like, the only person that loved that album. Dare I go against the trend and say I like it just a bit more than De-loused ?

  • Love the handle bars Cedric

  • "Even if you walk out, we have your money." Ha. Great line.

  • Nickleback gargles balls little kid, u should open ur mind to good music, go for it give it a shot.

  • gahh, this is so good. you can tell that they really dont care what you think, its all personal, and i love that. hhaha"and even if they walk out...we have your money"

  • dont fucking write hate coments all over mars volta interview????

ur the stupid fuck who doesnt seem to like them but still watches videos of them to write ur petty coments

fee l like a big man???

    ur pathetic just like nickelback

  • have you even tried to learn a mars volta song? he can play the shit out of the guitar. even if he couldn't, it wouldnt change the fact that nickelback's guitar work is nothing special at all. nickelback are one of the most unoriginal bands of the past few decades. Mars Volta are true originals.

  • great man. you're comparing nickelback to the mars volta?? nickleback is a shitty rip-off post grunge band. they don't even know what creative means. these guys are fucking gods of music. omar is one of the best guitarist there is. he understands it.

  • Nickelback is one of the worst post-grunge bands ever, and that's saying a lot considering creed is still active, you should have your testicles removed through your mouth for saying that.

  • Nickelback sucks!!!

  • @zoso426 you suck.

  • @RepThatFoSkin sorry nickel back does suck! your allowed to like them but I like real artist not creed sound a likes!!

  • Nickelback is the result of purely MEDIOCRE music being made POPULAR by the record companies. They just want MEDIOCRE music, they want mediocrity to thrive. So that real talent is never seen and so the people they market this mediocre music too will never really understand what music is for. The Mars Volta wouldnt exist if they didnt have such a loyal fan base. There fan base is the reason why they're even on a record label. Band like nickelback and creed exist to spread mediocrity.

  • and nickleback,go listen to britney spears, thats as bad as listening to nickleback

  • Listen to real music lmaoooo funniest thing i have ever heard, from a person who listens to nickleback. The riffs in nickleback(if u wnt to call them riffs),i can play in my sleep, they are so simple and boring, and the singers voice can destroy someones hearing, most awful singer ever. The mars volta on the other hand, are genius's,some of their songs, if u listen closely, the instruments actually talk to you.

  • I am, I'm listening to the Mars Volta right now

  • "Even if they walk out, we have your money."

    Lol, TMV is the shit!

  • whats with omar and his arm?

  • guitarist looks like the guy form 'The IT Crowd' tv show :P

  • even if you walk out we have your money... LOL they are so dope!!! i love these guys they give you the feeling you could just kick it and blaze it together like they're your neighbors. i cant wait to see them this sunday!!

  • the reason they're acting like this is because thier on the henry rollins show. henry rollins was thier idols growing up when he was in black flag and they almost feel appeased at the fact that thier getting interviewed by him or he's watching them getting interviewed and thier so appauled at the fact that rollins in the same room and they probably feel akward cause this great hero to them is in the room at the moment

  • Lol Omar is trippin out in this.

  • Have anyone noticed that Omar has the habit of looking down when talking during interviews?

  • some people are shy? not that big a deal...
