  • IMO as a Master Nail Tech, you don't touch the cuticle/skin with your brush = cross contamination. Tis one of the first things you learn

  • i also want to know if the liquid and the monomer are the same thing?..

  • ok so is this the stuff they call powder dust also

  • do you have to have acrylic nails?

  • Wet your brush in what though? -_-

  • @shuubbz Acrylic liquid also known as monomer

  • @shuubbz monomer

  • Comment removed

  • @mahoganywarmack sally beauty supply, find store by googleing it youtube didnt let me put the website up :(

  • @Siebertable its weird though! why not use a normal brush like everyone else? these brushes do the same buy they make things harder, ive baught one to see what there like and ther shit! a good old no 8, 10 or 12 kolinsky barrel brush always does the best job, i think people who use these brushes are just trying to show off cause there just stupid!

  • @Erulastielworrior I Use a 20 kolinsky and I have no problem with it. I works better for some then others everyone needs to be comfortable with whatever they use. The clients are what it shows off on weather its a good or bad nail job!

  • lol 0:0i she she was like ntt

  • i got ripped off :(

  • @Sachicko who ripped you off?

  • what brush size is she using? seems like the bristles are so flat....

  • Hi, i'm wanting an acrylic brush like the one you are using in this video, where could i get one from ??

  • Acrylic has a weird smell to it. Im sometimes in the nail shop waiting for my mom to get her nails done, & it smells weird !(:

  • she's very good with her one ball method....it is a very hard technique to master, so while your slaying her you should be watching and learning!!!

  • how wet or dry does the powder have to be yours look just right

  • what is matermer or w.e and what kind of brush do u need do u need like a nail art brush or like and art brush like for paintings anyone answer!

  • if u have a youtube page in your settings you can take the captions off as well as the annotations too...i like it way better with out them...

  • you can use any brush of your perference no brush is the wrong brush

  • the professional people use a bigger brush then other people im working that my auntys professional shop and i have to use a big brush do not say that she is using a wrong brush coz thats the brush that professional people use

    thank you

  • @MizzasianMKV In Mexico a professional brush for applying acrylic over entire nail is a size 8 but I guess people should use what works for them

  • heyy guys... i'v ben watching these acrylic things for long time.. plzzzzz sum one help mee... i meannn i dnt get it.. wen u put the nail on right.. u just wet the brush and dip in the powder and apply over your nails..?? dnt u add other stuff to it or do u jus add the powder and topcoat??

  • @andrealmsangel20 hey I'm not sure if anyone ever answered your question about making the acrylics shiny but have you tried UV top coat? Hope this helps :)

  • not sure how the writing is blocking the view. But I like the writing which is called Caption or subtitle. Makes it much easier for us deaf people to follow along with what's being said. With that I am pleased with expert village and anyone who uses subtitles/captions. The brush is interesting though I've seen another technician use one similiar. I think it was Nailzoo. Everyone has their own methods and preferences.

  • To all the people complaining about the "stupid writing" I know it's annoying, but she describes in such detail you don't really need to see every single thing she does, the 'stupid writing' is A LOT more helpful than many other vids I've seen that showed everything!

  • ok this is kinda stupid. I want to see what shes doing. I cant see because of the stupid writing

  • @biloxipinto62

ok do me a favor. see that button marked 'cc' on the video's bottom toolbar? press it.

  • @NettieBearxD omg not even?! How does she even bring that stuff to school? o.0?

  • hi this video is great, can i use white powder on whole nail or does it have to be the pink and white?

  • @carlmathew77 to have a french nial look pink and white you can do it all white :)

  • if you eat that acrylic powder couldnt you die or something ?

causee theres this girl that was at the nail shop & she was eating it !

  • honey dat brush is a weee to HUGE

  • To make Acrylic dry do u need a UV lamp ?

  • @TinyTwinkle11 No, thats gel nails :)

  • @MrNailDUDE This is acrually acrylic (Learning how to do them today!!!!), but seriously, tht is acrylic. Acrylic comes in powder, and liqiud monimer forms the acrylic it's self! : )

  • @Nailgirl4real ino, im saying you dnt need a UV lamp to dry acrylic, thats gel nails :)

  • @Nailgirl4real iv been doing acrylic for years :)

  • @Nailgirl4real i have been doing nails for a year now, i no wat makes acrylic, i wasnt saying the video was gel i was ansering a question about uv lamps, you have only been learning for a day and you tell me wat to do :) but anyway read the comment next time :S

  • @Nailgirl4real since u know so much about ayrylic nails mkae a viedo ur self

  • @MrNailDUDE thanks

  • What do you use after putting on the acrylic to make it look shiny..Ive done nails lots of times..and took classes..but I dont remember what it is that makes it shine..all mine come out scratchy dull looking. Help!!

  • @andrealmsangel20 just use ether some clear nail poloish, some top coat or a VU sealant like nsi glaze n go or somethig like that. uv top coat is defo the best cause it provides a hard seal and stops rhinestones and other nail art from falling off.

  • this is by far the best vid on how to apply fakr nails on,!!! thanks

  • It's just like the argument whether to sweep with a broom or vacuum. Same effect. sigh.

  • what kind of brush and size is that brush

  • @SuperFrenchkisses it seems like a #12 round you just have to make it flat yourself.

  • she did it right!!!!!

    informative vid. thanks =)

  • You ppl nag to much what did she do wrong the nail looks fine!

  • another fail from expert village

  • ALL THESE E HOWS ARE SHIT!!!

  • @xsweetouchx the only good ones ive seen are the vids from 'myglitternails' and 'yoyoecho'. this vid sucked! applying acrylic with a brush like that would be disasterus! that brush is ridiculous!! why would anyone use a fanned brush for acrylic application?!?

plus, that brush must get fucked really quickly! im guessing that that brush needs replacing after every 2-3 applications!

  • @Erulastielworrior I just went to the nail salon today to get a full set, and that is the exact brush that was used and my nails look fabulous. =] The brush is not fanned by the way.

  • Comment removed

  • @MissJ2Understood its not a 'fan' brush but it is 'fanned' out. it if works for some people thats fine by me but ibe never seen anyone use a brush like that,. the only time ive ever used one of those brishes is for painting wall designs ^^ the brush probably would be buggered after a couple of uses. ive only ever been the salon with friends cause i do my own. the weirdest one ive ever seen is somone usinng a size 2 brush for application an i thought that was weird. maybe its an american thing?

  • @xsweetouchx this isn't a ehow video.

  • you are doing it wrong.

  • yesssssssss!

finally someone knows the right way =\

and the brush..i could use to brush my eyes! toooo big..

  • I totally agree. The brush is too damn big!!

  • And she's not suppose to touch the brush with her hands because the moisture from her hand will get transferred to the brush and acrylic. This might cause a fungus to grow.

  • @Obsessed247 haha, agreed :)

  • cant you put close youre cam so i ciuld see better cuz im berly lerning how to put nails

  • wronq brush

  • @simplythaliax3 totally! i think this is what they use for bronzer hehe:)

  • whats the liquid ? monimer?

  • @doriibabes monomer yes..

  • Your videos are fantastic thank you so much for posting them i am learning so much...teaching myself to apply acrylic before i do my certificate and i was having a huge prob with getting the bead right and now am doing it like a pro after watching you...thanks

  • What size brush is being used here? Does anyone know?

  • i use a size 8 oval brush very good as i am learning ...well here in australia thats what most nail ladies use i find it has better control for a learner

  • i never knew tips were made like that.

in the nail salons, are tips bad for your natural nails?... because i really want them but my mom despises them...

  • It depends on how often you have them done, if you leave them long enough to start falling away once your natural nail grows though then they will damage the end of your natural nail. However if you get them re done or removed professionally then thats much better for your natural nails.

  • Tips suck because you can't re fill a french tips smile line! They're a cop out compared to sculptures.

  • You can airbrush them in. I like tips, if the smile line bothers someone they can just use natural or see through. But do whatever you like best.

  • Get sculptured nails I think tips aren't great because they're just glued on, they're plastic, when your nails are sculptured your nails are 100% acrylic and not just with an acrylic overlay :]

  • i had mine done for a party, and a week later i just soaked them for a while in hot water and they come off, but dont pull them off as then they will wreck your nails!

or you can go back to the salon and ask the beautitian to take them off for you... :)

  • @ebbsy1996

    did it ruin ur nails?

  • where did you get the brush at?

  • its monomer and she is great at this,

  • whats the liquid that your dipping the brush before the powder called?

  • The monomer

  • r all acrylic nails with the french tip??

  • No, you can let the person know what kind of tips you want.

  • No , there are clear tips too , so you can make them look like your own . They have many different colour tips

  • i have tried to do jmy acrylic nails myself but the thing is that i wasnt able to get a straight white line when aplyin white acrylic...and then when i applied the pink acrylic over my nail i realized that i was able tp distinghuis between the fake nail tip and my nail. it just showed to different colours. please tel me what to do to avoid that...thanks again...

  • thanks a TONNN i tried and tried and have finally got it!!! Thanks REALLY!!! can u pls do a video on filling acrylics u know aftee a week or two when they come ahead,,ive searched a lod but am not getting a good video with enough info!!!

    pls..

  • hyee,i tried to do it for myself and they have come damn neat its just that im getting a thick layer near the cuticles how do i avoid that ,,the finish is good but after i apply polish i can make out the thickness on the upper side of the nail ,,rest the middle section and towards the end are good ,,what do i do to give my nail an even look!!!

  • Try to put your thicker ball of product closer to the edge of the nail and pat it then back by the cuticle. You could also file it

  • where can i get that kind of brush from

  • Ebay x]

  • whats the name of the liquid u put the brush in...?

  • it's monamer

  • I am a nail tech also and I must say the techniques which she uses in the vid are quite accurate, very professional and would ensure a flawless job.

  • what oil is that?liqiud?

  • how does it dry?

  • it dries quickly (naturally),so better make it fast

  • where do you get that powder n liquid what is it called???? thank you

  • sally's beauty supply store

  • i go there to it funny that my nails are 3 inches long lol

  • Hey!I was wondering if I could get you to answer this question that i've been waiting for the CORRECT answer to.Which amount of acrylic help prevent the likliness of lifting and popping off?& Which 1 would help the nails last longer?Thinner or thicker amounts of acrylic?

  • When doing acrylics they should not be too thick as they look chunky and fake but just thick enough that it will not break or chip. When it comes to lifting its all about keeping the acrylic away from the cuticle area and making sure that the back end is very fine and blends perfectly into the natural nail. Always remember to Prep and Prime the nails to remove any oils. Also remember to rough up the nail down towards the cuticle and not across as this will break the structure. :)

  • where would i be able to find these nice brushes, ive looked in many beauty supply stores and have not found any good ones..

can anyone tell me where to get them?

  • whats the pint in doing that?

  • What number and kind of brush is that?

  • looked pretty good to me...

  • Your only a student, I'm sure this lady has been doing this for MANY years...lol I have been doing Nails for MANY years and own a Nail salon and she does a very nice job... There are no right and wrongs ways of doing nails its whatever works for you...

  • i agree theirs plenti of ways to do it no rights and wrongs!!!!! its watever method works for u!!!! alot of people use diffrent brushes n liquid monomers theirs monomers dat dry up realy fast n like da purple one dat one u can work with it!!!!!

  • why is she using a brush that size

  • So she says not to put too much liquid but she dips it in the liquid, and then place it in the powder.

  • You need a bit of acrylic liquid on the brush so the powder will stick to it................

  • Using acetone will damage the brush. If you visit a Nail & Beauty wholesalers, they will probarly sell a good brush cleaner, like the one i use. It is from the company Supernail, i fully recommend it as i use it all the time. Remember to fully clean your brush after you use it, so you dont have problems the next time you go to use it.

  • where do you buy these things?

  • thats the same thing i'm wondering

  • Beauty product stores. Like Sally's or something like that.

  • 10X i want to do those cours of manicuire and hairstyle i'm form romania

  • can't see how good she does the nail from this view. but it just take too long to do it.

  • u will never do my nails i hate how u do it srry

  • in what u put the brush firstly?water or a special gel for acrylic nails?

  • it's a acrylic liquid

  • When you have many layers applied, you find it very difficult later on to file it all down, which is very time consuming! the thinner you apply, the better. When you use a smaller brush, about size 12, you will find that it is much easier to apply. x

  • yoru brush is too big o.O and you do so many layers .. wouldnt that makes it harder to file later on? hmm

  • I have look at tons of other vidoes and yours is the ABSOLUTE BEST thanks ^_^

  • i wouldnt want to use a brush that size...it seems to big to me

  • OH!!! By the way, did several researches on this, and YOURS IS THE BEST VIDEO TUTORIAL, VERY IMFORATIVE, AND EASY TO FOLLOW.

forgot one question, notice that once I put on the acyrilic with the pink powder on the nail bed, it stays wet for along time, oily wet...is this normal? I know I must be messing up. THANKS

  • I now have the nail pro...and supplies needed. did my nails twice. Problem. Maybe Im putting the acrylic too thin, when I file it..I have empty spots where its woren off, HELP...also, I bought the buffer cream, I used it and my nails still looked dull, again HELP!!!...and one more that I can think of...I "think" i have all the steps in order, but do I need to get cuticle oil or vitamins to put on my nail bed? THANKS!!!!

  • how do you get dried residue off the brush???? HELP

  • Hi! All of your videos are very informative, but it was hard for me to see the videos in a sequential manner. I was wondering if you can give me a list of the titles in order. It would really help me understand it properly and I would appreciate it very much!

  • uh. is this legal? ur not even old enough to work, let alone be a nail technician.

  • get a paper round.

  • shouldnt you be playing with your dolls...get a life...

  • I would love to know what size the brush is and what make. It looks very good.

  • do you know how to get dryed Acrylic off the brush

  • soak it in some acetone nail polish remover. It will take it right off.

  • i wouldn't use acetone coz it's not really good for ur brush. i would say soak it in some acrylic liquid , it'll take some times but will take acrylic off

  • this is very helpful to me and now i can do my own nails PRICELESS.i dont have to spend over 30.00 at the nail salon anymore

  • have you tried to do it my love? its one think watching and another doing it.

    good luck....

  • is it even possible to do this to yourself well? I'd love to try if I can!

  • I wish we could get a better close up. Very imformative though.

  • omg I always fuck up on this step.

  • 1 of the best clips ive seen ty
