Awebo, esta conmadre.. nosotros lo hacemos con el vaso lleno de cerveza, y el sake en baño maria bien caliente, pero nadamas lo dejamos caer en el vaso, sin los palillos chinos
I read that Sake Bombs are an American invention. This makes the sense, because most Americans don't like sake very much and young Americans love beer drinks like, Depth Charges, Boilermakers and Irish Car Bombs. Plus, a sake bomb is less than half the strength of a boilermaker, so it's easy to down. A good way to indroduce Americans to sake, because the sake flavor isn't strong enough to overpower the beer. I have no doubt that younger Japanese people have adopted this drink, because it's fun
@htime9119 Sake is not technically beer. It is neither beer nor is it wine. The process is much closer to a beer than a wine, as some have incorrectly labeled it. But, the process is different from beer. The product is much closer to a wine than to a beer, although the product is also different from beer. So, it's not contradictory at all, to say that most Americans don't like Sake. Because it is different from either of our favorite beverages, both in the process and in the end products
@skybluemarshall soo... Is it a beer or a wine? I'm confused o.O? All it was to me was "beer, nor wine, but its process more like beer than wine, but its closer to wine than beer" WTF?
@CarboNHeaD123 Ha ha! I re-read what I wrote. I see your point. Sake is made from a BREWED grain (rice) and not a fruit, therefore, it is similar to beer. But it converts from starch, to sugar, to alcohol in one, simultaneous step, instead of two separate steps and it's not carbonated, so, it's different from beer. By, "closer to wine" I meant, the color (clear), taste, aroma, body and the fact it isn't carbonated. But, base and process wise, it's totally different from wine. What is it? Sake!
@CarboNHeaD123 If you must categorize Sake as something that sounds, familiar, I suppose you could call it beer, even though it is NOT technically beer, do to the one step conversion process I mentioned. But many people like to think of it as rice wine, do to it's texture, flavor and smell. The bottom line is, that Sake is just Sake and it doesn't really technically fall in either category.
@CarboNHeaD123 One last thing, just to clarify. I mentioned why it can't be called beer. But I might not have been entirely on why it can't be called wine. Wine is made from fruit, not grain and you don't cook or brew wine.

@skybluemarshall Technically sake is a beer so by saying we like beer but not sake is contradictory.
