havin said that its a good club but could be better with less restrictions after all it was mid day in the middle of no were and the rear dom makes the car alot faster its just a bit loud not that bad
The Noise restriction is not a Plymouth RC one, it is the governing bodies that sets the 80db noise limit and you are was running more around the 90 db noise limit.
the plymouth rc club track is good if not a little small for 1/5th scale as i found out but the worst thing of all is the noise restriction and it defo needs sorting out i was invited to go to to club mainly for the reson i have a 1/5 baja its a self ported 26 with a rear dom and with in ten min of starting the bad boy i was told to shut it off as it was way too loud some of the goves shoved a rag down the pipe witch ended up in blowing the head gasket
The Plymouth Track was designed around an MCD 1/5th and we regularly have 5th races with 4 or 5 at a time on the track.
As for the noise, the pipe you are running is TOTALLY unsilenced and considering the landlords house is less than 100 meters from the track we have to do everything we can to NOT loose the track.
Noise does not equal Speed. There are soem far better pipes on the market that are loads quieter.
1/8ths are good fun, but when you have 9 cars all the same with no mods at all it is down to how well you can drive and not how much money you can throw at it.
i have a maverick strada SC as well , well fun!!!!
