  • how awkward...."Do I shake his hand...give him a fist bump...just hug him....nothing, is doing nothing rude? I'll just stare at him...."

  • Such an old video!

  • look at his hands at 1:58

  • WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS

  • least it wasnt 2601

  • So he couldve one but he wanted a three way tie....come on

  • I didn't McLovin showed up on Jeopardy

  • @Heemsah1 Somehow you a verb in your sentence.

  • Crap...

  • so wait. these 3 guys tied in one game and tied again???

  • @thebourneman NO, they didn't. but I feared they were trying to tie again (!), when the first guy ended up with one point, gladly it wasn't.

  • jamie kirby looks like he committed a crime or something. lol

  • Promotional consideration provided by a quality assurance engineer from Union City, CA.

  • Scott at 1:03 was probably like you fuckers...

  • Love the facial reaction at :58

  • I love Alex and the audiences reaction at 1:12

  • He says "Youre welcome>"

  • that was cool

  • Instead of the guy making the three way tied he should of bet it all then he would of won more money and would have moved on. (That's what I would have done.)

  • Three way 2:27

  • why wudnt u bet the extra dollar to win no matter wat

  • @purplekiller13 Trebek explained it. The guy wanted to make history since there was never a three-way tie before.

  • @purplekiller13 had it been wrong he would have lost no matter what

  • @purplekiller13 Because with that extra dollar, you wouldn't be watching this YouTube video, and he would've been an unremarkable champion that nobody would remember.

  • oh and jamey is tripping balls btw...

  • 1:57-2:00 NUBS NUBS NUBS NUBS NUUUBBBBBSSSSSSSSS!!!

  • Promotional consideration provided by a quality assurance engineer from union city california!

  • keep pressing 5 and 6 rapidly

  • This is what happens when you try to make children happy.

  • yay i was right.

  • Thumbs up if you think the players should have got together after the game and decide to play the first two rounds normally then they all get the final jeopardy question wrong on purpose and they bet exactly enough so that they will all tie the lowest scorer. Its GENIUS I tell you! So if the scores were like 17000 9000 and 12000 then they all bet enough so they each end up with $9000 they would own the show lololol they could quit their day job lol

  • Three-ways can be fun.

    ;)

  • wait, scotts hand is formed differently?

  • What an idiot, he could have wagered $2,601 and would have won :-P

  • Yeah, Scott's a retard for "making history."

    You got fucked nerd-boy!

  • @TheWitchOvAgnesi or he already had 61 thousand dollars which is still a good amount of money

  • I love how the guy is bobbing his head to the music at the end 3:25

  • i love happy endings =)

  • 3:26 is great haha

  • Who was the announcer? I'm pretty sure he first pronounced "Weiss" incorrectly, and he also mispronounced "Trebek."

  • @JCis4every1 Weiss is German and that's how you say it for sure.

  • @JCis4every1 Alex pronounced "Weiss" corectly, and so did the announcer (Johnny Gilbert). I knew Scott personally in college.

  • This wasn't the first three-way tie. On September 11, 1984 (one day after the current revival premiered), all three players got the Final Jeopardy wrong and gambled all their winnings, resulting in a three-way $0 tie. Because of this, the show had three new contestants the next day...

  • why does the teacher look like he just killed someone on both instances haha?

  • you can tell trebeks been waitin for that since he started with that release of MUHAH!

  • I like the part where the guy won 16,000 dollars

  • I'm glad he got schooled for it.

  • what's wrong with the champs hands

  • @billcary30 birth deformity? accident? theyre damaged

  • It would have been funny if he bet 2,601, haha.

  • GF go Kirbzzz :D :D :D and wtf @ price is right. Good times XDDD.

  • the poor scott weiss guy had deformed hands!!!!! or his fingers were amputated or something!!!!!!! poor guy :(

  • I woulda loved it if they tied again :D

  • This was NOT the first 3-way tie. IN the late 1970s there also a 3-way tie. In fact, I think the clip is available here on YouTube. All 3 contestants ended up with $1 0 on a question about the first day of the 20th century (1/1/1901 - NOT 1/1/1900)

  • Jamey Kirby. What a cool name. I think he likes Kirby.

  • @rickyony He was my English teacher last year. :) And no, he hates the name Kirby. He wore pink one day and everyone called him the "super tuff pink puff" It was funny. :P

  • @aimster4560 lol.

  • red shirt couldnt bet one dollar more??

  • @88joemomma Well, he could have. But I guess he really wanted to make history instead.

  • "Promotional consideration provided by...a quality service engineer from Union City, California..." XD

  • @freddylovejoy Haha, yeah. Perfect editing.

  • ha! guy only left with a dollar

  • @TitWarlord Actually, the winner leaves with what they actually won, second place gets $2,000, and third place gets $1,000. :)

  • That guy's name is Anders and he looks like Flanders from the Simpsons!!!

  • The first Final Jeopardy question made me think of Bonnie of the Bonnie and Clyde fame, but I thought the question was asking for any name of the shooters. I guessed the second one right!

  • 2:30 "We've never had a three-way"

  • The two co-winners...they ought to buy the red-shirted guy a drink...they scored big because instead of getting the 2nd and third place prizes, etc..they get to keep 16,000 dollars.

  • Whoa! Look at that guy's hands @ 1:58

  • Union Cityyyyy, CA

  • FAILED !!! thats what he gets lol

  • What a moron. Instead of wagering $2,601 to win, he decides to be a dork and lose $16,000 just to come back another day.

  • @matrixphijr If you pay attention to the rematch, they all won $16,000.

  • @matrixphijr He's not a moron at all when you think about it logically. Even if he wins, he's still going to face 2 other opponents when he comes back--so what difference does it make if it's the same 2 opponents he's playing against now? As for his betting strategy, you want to bet enough to COME BACK, and no more--just in case you lose. Now, sure he could have bet the 2601...but he needed to bet 2600 to come back--so that's what he did.

  • Now who the fuck would just fucking know that?

  • 0:48 -- "You're right," *sigh*

  • @HobzsMusicChannel Because it was fabricated. Listen at 1:02 and look at the guy in red.

  • Listen carefully at 1:02 and look at the guy in red. He whispers "You're welcome."

  • he says " we've never had a 3 way" lmao

  • It is real it says in the video, Scott got the idea got the idea from a little boy.

  • He is dancing to the music. LOL 3:25 It would have been EPIC if he tied them all again.

  • Oh it says, asurance not insurance XD

  • Promotional consideration brought to yuo by.. a quality insurance engineer. LOL

  • @HobzsMusicChannel He bet 2600, dink.

  • @thatwouldbeillogical: so did I, lol!

  • Because it was intentional.

  • yeah

but it was nice of him to guarantee the other two with $16,000

  • It was 2nd time ever. First tie was on 1984, on second episode.

  • Well, that was a $0-$0-$0 tie, so it doesn't count.

  • a 0-0-0 tie means no one comes back!

  • @Kwpolska but they all had no money, at least all three of them come back!!!

  • @Kwpolska Yeah, but that wasn't 3-way win it was a 3-way loss.

  • "promotional concideration provided by a quality assurance engineer from union city California" Those sentences fit together so well that for a second I thought that the were the same sentence.

  • Same here, lol !

  • i love alexs reaction

  • 3:25

I guess he really likes the song to be dancing to it

  • he tied so everyone would win money. What a nice guy.

  • they don't have to win to get the money

  • yes they do. only the winner earns their money.

  • the winner gets the money they won, second place gets 2,000, and last gets 1,000

  • that's how it works, unless it was a tournament.

  • This guy is an idiot. He spent all his time memorizing trivia, but can't do a simple strategic move. Another example of memorization does not equal intelligence. Retard.

  • Which guy? I'm pretty sure the guy who tied did it on purpose.

  • Yeah it was on purpose. Alex explains that the player overheard a conversation between him and a boy in the audience in this video.

  • why didnt he just add 1 more dollar to that!!!!

  • cuz hes a noob

  • well i wouldn't say he did the right thing because he might have been able to win again against two other contestants... but that said, he might have just as well lost the next time. it's not like he didn't win any money the first time.

  • In memory this has happen before, but that was way before, if i find the video, i will edited this comment, the winnings were though $0 each, not 16,000 like these guys. And what happen there is they got three new players. lol

  • Yes- you cannot win with $0. But any tie that isn't at $0 means everyone comes back.

Similarly, any player who makes it to Final! alone (ie, the other two are negative) still has to go through the formality of wagering and winning because if they wager it all and are wrong, there is no winner and there are three new players.

  • Pretty freaky opening for the rematch...three champions.

  • holy crap never heard that sound out of Trebek before MAHHAH!! 1:10

  • wooooooot mr. kirby

  • In the second game, if Scott instead had gotten one $400 clue that Jamey got, Scott would have had $23,000 and Jamey $11,500, and the two of them would have tied again. Or if everything else went the same and Scott had wagered $1,200 more on a Daily Double, the same thing with $23,800 and $11,900. It's interesting how any one little thing can seal a victory for someone.

  • i'm guessing scott has leprosy...?

  • is that what happens when you get leprosy, your hands get all messed up

  • I think he's missing one and, so he writes with the other, obviously. And, what a dumbass. Wanted to be historical, but then ended up losing the rematch.

  • Id hate to be the guy shaking his hand

  • Oh, he has no hands. Wow.

  • lmfao

  • Lol, the guy who won looks so shy.

He did a good job though.

  • omg poor him, look at his hands :(

  • Alex Trebek's like, "a young boy..." ... Was it Emmanuel Lewis, Trebek? Because I'm pretty sure he's not young. You strange old man.

  • you know how weird it would be if they tied again with the same amount?

  • "What did you get?.........haHAA"

  • 3 people won $16K instead of one person winning $16,001, so it's a victory for america, but not necessarily scott, who lost by less than $1300.

    But it's still pretty cool.

  • Wait he spelled it wrong! On a recent episode a kid wrote Annie Frank instead of Anne Frank and they told him it was wrong. By the way, if anyone has that clip please post it, I loved how he thought he won and then his facial expressions changed real quickly.

  • Misspellings are fine as long as they don't add or subtract a syllable. "Annie" has an extra syllable when the answer is "Anne."

  • That arrogant prick deserved to lose and Annie was obv wrong.

  • I saw that too.

  • lol they were all in it together! Its a conspiracy I tell yaz!

  • Haha, Alex's reaction was all crazy.

  • 1:12 Alex Trebek was so excited he came! aaahgg first time ever! lol

  • Provided by a quality engineer!!!!

  • Wow, that was nice of him.

  • he should have bet 2601....seriously. Youre supose to bet 1 more than the others can get.

  • i think thats what he was going for, but he probably forgot to add the 1 lol

  • I disagree, I think he did it on purpose

  • walkersvile,MD 15 min. from wear i live ha!

  • Lol scott, he was all grooving to the theme... too bad he lost, I still think he made the right choice, making history is better than making money..

  • ....No, making money is definitely better.

  • If Jamey Kirby wagered $9777 and had $21677, would he still have won? xD

  • Hey lets get three people together and then just tie everytime and keep getting more and more money. Brilliant!

  • is that really what his hands look like, or could he have had all his fingers crossed and clapping that way? if it's the former i can't see how he was able to write his responses in final as well as buzz in for 61 grand.

  • Do you know what is cool? On Friday the three contestants did a three-way tie and on Monday Jamey had a $77 lead over Scott. If Scott would have wegered 77 dollars, they would have a two-way tie right after they did a three-way tie. That's what I thought what should happen. But the vid is interesting.

  • What's with Scott's Fingers on his left hand? Did he loose them in some sort of a fight? Or did they just all fall off?

  • wait a second the person that won in the second game misspelled the answer and Alex said, "that is alright". But I remember seeing in kid jeopardy

that that one kid misspelled the right answer and Alex said "you misspelled it so we Can't give it to you as the answer". WHAT THE HECK!

  • I think the rule is that if the misspelling would affect the pronunciation, they don't give it to them.

Which really sucks in some cases... if I saw the same episode of kids' Jeopardy as you, the girl lost because she wrote "Bejamin Franklin." Yeah, Alex, I'm sure she was thinking of the wrong guy. So freaking unfair. She was like twelve years old.

  • anders looks like flanders

  • i've watched jeopardy many years on and off, the winner get to keep the money he makes each day, and 2nd and 3rd place get nothing or how does it work ??

  • 2nd and 3rd place finishers have always received consolation prizes. they used to be actual "prizes" like vacations and furniture and things like that. a few years ago they changed it to where they 3rd place gets $1000 and 2nd gets $2000

  • Kool ..

  • KIRBY!!!!!thats my old high school teacher....he's freakn' hillarious

  • Anders looks like my vice-principal.

  • Boy, Scott's little fun sure didn't pay off, did it? Interesting that Alex kind of predicted the outcome.

  • ...he was just being a nice guy. obviously if he didn't try to win the first time when he clearly could have, he didn't care that he lost.
