The Fuck is this Shit! Kay Hagan can suck my dick thinking i dont.corretion,We dont Believe in god? WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS BULLSHIT. as americans, its part of our daily lives to say "In god we Trust" you cant take something like that."God is not real" can you believe this assholes saying shit like that i want to see all of them burn in hell.
this is the most biased ad I have ever seen... the party was hosted by 40 different PACS, who knows if she even knew that these Godless people were their... hmm baring false witness... isnt that a sin? I will pray for u in church today
um wow. I can't believe she would try to uphold the constitution?
I'm religious myself, but this ad is absurd. I also don't think we should have religious language on federal documents. (ie: paper money) or in the pledge of allegiance. it doesn't mean religion is bad, just that it's private.
Dole and GOP have sunk lower than hell itself. Peddling hate and division while chasing untold riches is not exactly Christian. Amber alert: Jesus has been kidnapped by the Republican party... God help us.
That's not Kay Hagan at the end of the video, it's the clear that the first woman speaker is at the end of the clip and if Kay Hagan took their donation she has needs to stop crying foul and own up to it.
This is the main reason that she has my vote. I am an atheist. Atheists have been quiet for too long. It is time for someone to represent us in our government. A vote for Hagan is a vote for reason.
if there is no god, no afterlife, and no religion is true, then why do atheists care so much? after they die they'll never remember being alive, or whether their freedoms or happiness were disrupted because of religion. so why do they care so much? sure they want to be happy now, but after they die then nothing ever existed, so nothing ever matters. so they should stop caring about other people's religious beliefs so much.
Why don't theists who believe in going to a better place after they die kill themselves to go to that better place now? Because they are still rational beings. When you get on an airplane, you may utter a prayer and hope your god picks the plane up and sets it down gently, but you would never step foot on that plane without a fundamental belief in science. Your additional belief in irrationality is simply that, additional. Baggage. And you can throw it out. And its healthy and moral to do so.
you missed my point. if youre just gonna die and never remember being alive, then nothing that happens in your life would have mattered. no laws that affected you would matter. so you might care now, but once youre dead, you won't know you ever cared because you no longer exist.
I 1'd your video because I do not approve of it. Then I read what you wrote under "more info" and I agree. I wish I could 5 the "more info." I'm pretty sure that the footage of Hagan at a (the?) fundraiser was obtained by illegal means.
it's a nice little ploy you people use when we complain that you're constantly pushing YOUR values on us to accuse US of being somehow 'pushy' because we tell you to go fuck yourself.
take your values, your morals, your dim-witted, unknown-authored 'book of truth' and shove it up your trash pipe.
you pronounce that its wrong for anyone to push their "values" on anyone else, but if there is no God, what gives YOU the right to make any moral pronouncement at all?
Of course, explaining this to an atheist is like trying to teach geometry to my cat.
Also, I have to add... I'm a North Carolinian who strongly supports the Separation of Church and State, and did long before I became an atheist. Therefore, to presume that all North Carolinians believe in God and would be offended by Kay Hagen's association with the Godless Americans PAC looks like a desperate attempt to rally people whose concerns in this election are not political, but religious. This is not the playing field for those concerns.
mordinvan is mostly correct - "In God we trust" was added to money after the Civil War, and "under God" was added to the pledge in the 1950s because of communism. Both were a result of people feeling vulnerable and shaken, and wanting something to turn to. There was less resistance from those who either don't believe or strongly adhere to the separation of church of state, because putting God in things made people feel better. Not everyone believes in God, so who does it hurt to remove it?
To be fair, "Godless Americans" isn't the most friendly sounding name for a PAC. Godlessness has some strong negative connotations. Plus, it seems to me to focus just a bit too much on deity-bashing to seem friendly to theist-types.
Perhaps Secularist, Humanist, or simply Atheist would be better?
GOP does it again - Lets be divisive and split our country - Nice going ASSHOLES ! I hope this election the GOP assholes get booted out of office. It has now become apparent that they will do anything to get elected. Shameful people
Personally I think right wind republicans are the most Godless people in America, more so than any atheist I've ever read. Their doctrine of hate is souless and Godless.
Elizabeth Dole can go to hell. She does not address the issues, rather, as her party invariably does, she harbors negativity and fear-mongering. Congressional leaders should never be influenced by their religious sentiments.
What ever happened to the separation of church and state? Jesus-loving proselytizing should not have a place in assessing a candidate's worth or come to influence in any way Senate policy discussions.
there is no place in america for people that openly hate religion-like these liars that claim they are christians and are now going to support hagen cause she supports atheist-how dumb you look
most of our laws are based on "Religious Sentiments"...no stealing, lieing, murder...so I guess those laws have to go? Come on now, think about things before you post them?
Actually, most of our laws are there to protect others and each other. It just so happens that religious groups had the same good ideas that everyone else had (most religions, governments, and societies have similar laws). Your argument is really kind of shallow.
"The Lord uses the Good Ones. The Bad Ones USE the Lord." (Michael Stanley) These people give God and Christianity a bad name. They can't even imagine making choices based on LOVE, which, if God exists, is just that. And that should be enough. This is really about a lust for power and control (using fearmongering to get it). There's no trace of sincere God-fearing humility. No "THY Will Be Done" acceptance. If McCain loses, will these religious extremists think He messed up?
God doesnt send anyone to hell. Our sin, which is built into our flesh, causes us to stand apart from God. Being in the absence of God is Hell. Christ Died so that we could have redemption through him, to stand in the presence of the Glory of God. You can hate me, you can hate anyone you want. I beg you though, read the word, dont be lead astray to a eternal absence of God in your life, and most of all, an absence of God in your afterlife.
You're just making it up as you go along! Built into our flesh?!! Like a computer chip?! Christians believe that a long-haired, bearded Jew in sandals will descend from the clouds on judgment day to decide who gets to live with him for eternity. Who'd want to? Nothing against Jews, Hindus, Muslims, Christians, Atheists or anybody else. But the whole concept seems RIDICULOUS to me! Why can't the afterlife be exactly like life was like before we were conceived?Making every living day so important!
God was added to the money and the pledge in the 1950's by religious groups. And why should christmas have any greater significance then any holiday belonging to any other group?
Fact of the matter is everything these people say in this video is no different then what religious groups are trying to do, only they're doing it because its the rational thing to do, and are not blinded by 'faith' in some invisible god.
When people refer to US being a Christian nation they mean that the predominate religion in US is Christian. The American government is a secular government. It would be no surprise if the references to God were added in the 1950's as a response to the rise of Communism.
However, not everyone understands the issue as well as mordinvan.

Wow, that's pretty tone-deaf. Doesn't Dole realize that most Americans respect the rights of atheists to participate in democracy?
Guess she's desperate to win so she won't have to sit around the house all day with Viagra Bob And His Magical Snake.
jbrisby 3 years ago
News flash, a lot of Americans hate atheists and would be perfectly happy to have them all banned from the country or killed.
Over 40% of Americans polled said a candidate would be immediately disqualified in their book if they were an atheist.
