@107ice You are partially correct. In 2006 Yamaha introduced a redesigned R6 model. However, they continued to sell the old model, labeled an "Yamaha R6s". The small 's' I added after R6 throughout my video description and previous comments was intentional. If you're outside the US then perhaps they did not sell this model past 2005, but within the US it was sold through 2009 models.
@poochnuts98765 Yea that's exactly how I did it. Make sure you use a good drill bit, those rivets were tough to drill out for me. Also try not to pry the lid off afterwards. I ended up deforming it a bit so it looks wavy like when I put it back on with new rivets. I ended up using a Sawzall to cut the actual canister.
2007??

@107ice The red bike, which is mine, is a 2007 model Yamaha R6s.

@kairojya How can that be a 2007 when in 2006, Yamaha changed the look of the R6
I also have a 2007 R6 and that does in no way resemble your R6 bud...

@107ice No problem, I've been out of the sportbike community for awhile now ... I forgot about the confusion between R6 models lol.
