  • Like the scrapyard on the top level I've got something similar planned for my layout somewhere to put the locos that don't run very well

  • Nice railway very realistic

  • Itz very detaild

  • Good job, my Hornby is Thomas, but when I have the original hornby Thomas will meet with such great tracks and cars

  • Would someone in the model railway world tell whether 12 mm plywood is any good for a baseboard? Some books say it is ok others say it is not as its too hard for the track tacks to go into. Any info would be appreciated ASAP as I have just bought 4 sheets of 12mm ply on an online auction, so its a bit late in asking!! Thanks.

  • @TheGazzernator - Why not try hammering track tacks into it, then use the other side when you start building? If it is too hard, try pre-drilling the holes at least part way.

  • Can someone tell me what rolling stock is please

  • @pokemaster2331 rolling stock is wagons and coaches

  • @pokemaster2331 - Rollingstock (one word) usually means anything that isn't a locomotive, i.e. carriages and wagons (or passenger cars and freight cars, if you come from the USA).

  • Nice layout. I do like that terminal station with all the canopy's on it.

  • cool

  • Br Flying Scotsman with the smoke deflectors? looking to get that for my scotsman collection

  • Erm... are these models cheap to get?

  • Love the scrap yard!

  • I mean it is small

  • @killerforlife100 - mate, we can't all have basements and attics to build huge model railway empires in - some of us can only scrounge a spare room.

  • i hope you haven't had to use the breakdown crane

  • nice layout

  • Stuiped because the train dosnt go any were

  • @killerforlife100 mate its called a model railway its not ment to go anywere duh

  • were did you get the ballast?

  • @UrbanCrawlersClub Hi - it's many, many bags of Hornby ballast (about £100 worth) but the effect is pretty good.

  • Amazing...

  • Ive just found an old Hornby Flying Scotsman 60103 and i was wondering how much i could sell it for?

  • where did you get the stone flooring thing on the track

  • @Yokey77 Hi - it is simply Hornby medium ballast, brushed into the sleepers.

  • wow man ,, top mark,s that looks great!!

    thanks for sharing

  • NICE LAYOUT WISH I HAD A LAYOUT LIKE THAT

  • second hand hornby is very expensive still,

i can remember purchasing a battered intercity carriage for £8 alot when i was a child then, but second hand does not always mean cheap

  • @Galacticmaster Whole lot would have cost less than £1000 including all the stock

  • the is the layout i ever saw!!!!!!!

  • wow this is a good job congraduations and how you do it and what time use to make this

  • You have a very nice layout

  • Loft leyout are the best

  • Is it DCC or DCC layout?

  • Hello, the layout is just old fashioned Hornby. Might make it DCC though...

  • Spot on! Well done 5*

  • I'm not being rude but...how much money roughly did this cost u?!?! Great vid!!!!!!!!!

  • Hello, it's surprising how little you can do this for if you shop around, most of it is second hand and picked up here and there.

  • jesus christ how did yolu do all that how did you get the scrapped trains

  • what u do is u get a train with a burnt out motor. take the motor out and re-paint in scrap condition.

  • Hello, they are actually old Airfix kits with bits removed and some surgery to make them authentic.

  • How long did it take to make? I would take a long time to achieve this amount of perfection!

  • Hello, it took about 6 months of evenings.

  • it must of cost lots of money all together

  • Probably one of the best ones ive seen.

  • amazing
