Repentance comes only from the individual. You can talk about repentance till you are blue in the face. One must truly BELIEVE the Gospel of Jesus Christ, if not then one will not repent. Most people who go to Church are truly lost because they really do not BELIEVE. I have been to many Churches & seen it with my own eyes.
I was LOST for many years until the LORD Jesus became real to me & I cried out for HELP. Of course I repented & the LORD Jesus Christ saved me from certain Hell.

This preacher needs to test his word with the scriptures. Romans 10:13 "Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved." John 3:15 that everyone who believes in him may have eternal life.......And so on. It seams that his word is not matching up with what the Holy Scriptures say.

@all I have never heard of any Church saying that we dont need to confess sin or even repent. That Church could have been like many churches in North America where they do not preach about sin and the need to be reborn. There are many cults out there doing good works in Jesus name but He doesn't know them like the JW's and Mormons.

No one know if the 1% is true. But for sure only few find the path to kingdom of heaven as stated in the bible. Most of you guy only talk about repent, sin, obey.. etc. Isn't most of us forget that we must forgive. The most hard part for our life maybe is to forgive. Maybe you have very little sin, but if you don't forgive, you may go to hell. If you have lot of sin, but you forgive, Jesus will forgive all your sin. I always ask God to help me forgive people. It is hard, but it is a MUST.

@raceygofast Jesus is the narrow gate. The problem we have is with pride. We want to save ourselves, do it our own way. Whenever we try to make peace with God other than thru Christ we actually insult Him by saying that the sacrifice He made wasn't good enough.

Hi Brother Emmanuel. I do fear. But I truly love Jesus, The Father, and the Holy Spirit. I consider daily my Salvation and daily recognize it's only through Jesus Christ. It's hard, living a busy life, a hard job, distractions, etc. One thing for sure, reading my Bible keeps me focused. I love the scripture-the whole duty of man is to love The Lord and to obey all his commandments. Then to get to heaven-love the Lord with all your might heart soul and strength and your neighbor as yourself.

I agree. A lot of sermons I hear resemble self-help motivational speeches. But that's exactly the opposite of what the Gospel teaches. We can't help ourselves. God did 100% of the work to reconcile us with God. He paid the price. We can't do anything but repent and believe.

Amen. I'm forgiven past, present, and future...if I stay in repentance. People have lost the meaning of repentance. It's not a one time thing. If it was Israel would have flourished so much more. But it's caused by Godly sorrow, changing of the mind, and a literal 180 and turning from the wickedness we have fallen into. We must learn to repent through our actions as much as our words. Keep in step with the Spirit of God so that we do not line ourself up with temptation, but rather on the narrow.

The churches I have attended are full of hate filled Christians. As a new Christian I was being poisoned, so I chose to leave and not to go back. Believe on Jesus and be filled with hatred and non-repentence, and you think you are going to heaven?! Even as I fail often, I will continue to strive for the narrow gate. Why? Yes you are right, why only 1% because people do not repent of all their sins. The devil has been active to fool people. First what is sin? The bible says in 1 john 3:4 ...for sin is the transgression of the law." All sin is transgression of the law, so then look at the law to examin your life. The law in itself cannot save you it is the grace of God that saves. The law defines what sin is so all better look at the fourth commandment more closely. Only few find all the truth because they look!

You are correct about the church - too much churchianity and too little minute by mintue reliance on Christ. .and I was also alarmed to find out when I went to Japan last year that Less than 1 percent of the Japanese population are 'in Christ'(!!)
@hiyosilver100 On the bright side I did read recently of the truly heroic Japanese martyrs of the 17th century - some of whom included females. The bravery of those women make most of today's 'christian men' look like Pussycats. .Some of them werent even married - and were prepared to give up a life of marriage and children etc - they remained faithful even onto death(!!) I'm Really REALLY looking forward to meeting the Japanese martyrs on the Day the Messiah Returns!!

Repentance comes only from the individual. You can talk about repentance till you are blue in the face. One must truly BELIEVE the Gospel of Jesus Christ, if not then one will not repent. Most people who go to Church are truly lost because they really do not BELIEVE. I have been to many Churches & seen it with my own eyes.
I was LOST for many years until the LORD Jesus became real to me & I cried out for HELP. Of course I repented & the LORD Jesus Christ saved me from certain Hell.

No one know if the 1% is true. But for sure only few find the path to kingdom of heaven as stated in the bible. Most of you guy only talk about repent, sin, obey.. etc. Isn't most of us forget that we must forgive. The most hard part for our life maybe is to forgive. Maybe you have very little sin, but if you don't forgive, you may go to hell. If you have lot of sin, but you forgive, Jesus will forgive all your sin. I always ask God to help me forgive people. It is hard, but it is a MUST.

Hi Brother Emmanuel. I do fear. But I truly love Jesus, The Father, and the Holy Spirit. I consider daily my Salvation and daily recognize it's only through Jesus Christ. It's hard, living a busy life, a hard job, distractions, etc. One thing for sure, reading my Bible keeps me focused. I love the scripture-the whole duty of man is to love The Lord and to obey all his commandments. @jeanlenor I don't think its a specific amount but the 1% could represent the small amount of people entering Heaven.

Thanks brother. Yeah many are feeding and eating cotton candy and junk food, not even milk! we need meat! many are using bible verses and override many! the Word is one, test the Spirit if they are from God, even Satan uses the Scriptures.

@BURNING you are a sheep of JESUS bro/sis in Christ, that's good :) Ask Jesus for help, God is not angry with us because we are sinners but because we don't humble ourselves, come to him, repent and ask for help. Thats what God wants from us. Because I can tell you by our own strength you won't make it and can't do it, But when we give Him our life, He's the one that helps us to do His will, He said he will poured His spirit but we need to want it. I agree. A lot of sermons I hear resemble self-help motivational speeches. But that's exactly the opposite of what the Gospel teaches. We can't help ourselves. God did 100% of the work to reconcile us with God. He paid the price. We can't do anything but repent and believe.

@Haroids there are many ways God can speak to you if you want a better relationship with God read the bible daily ,pray to God have an actual conversation with God in prayer also if you hear something does it align with the word of God......I pray that you hear from God and that you will allow God to work through you I may be 16 and still struggling with things but I trust in God that he will pull me through and also pray that he will use me and I pray this for you in the name of Jesus.God Bless

@Haroids if Jesus doesnt literally speak to you, you may not be truly seeking Him. We dont spend time with Jesus just by reading the bible. the bible is a book. Jesus Christ is the Word of God. spend the time Jesus wants you to spend with Him. if you be still, and wait on Him, He will answer you literally. it can be tough to be still in this world, we think we always must be doing something to feel whole. Be still friend. come to Jesus humbly, repent, and wait on Him. He will speak! He is alive!

First to the Jews then to the gentile.
You do not know the difference between the kingdom of heaven and the kingdom of God and teach verses out of context.
You are trying to teach kingdom of heaven verses to the church that will be raptured and not go into the kingdom of heaven (Christs 1000 year reign) in the flesh.
Think about what you are teaching and know you will be held ACCOUNTABLE for the bondage to the LAW

Amen. I'm forgiven past, present, and future...if I stay in repentance. People have lost the meaning of repentance. It's not a one time thing. If it was Israel would have flourished so much more. But it's caused by Godly sorrow, changing of the mind, and a literal 180 and turning from the wickedness we have fallen into. We must learn to repent through our actions as much as our words. Keep in step with the Spirit of God so that we do not line ourself up with temptation, but rather on the narrow.

i am replying to hiosilver100,, i dont believe in a rapture,, it is silly. we have to live here NOW there is too much disagreement on rapture/tribulation. it is absurd for me to even get into it. no one really knows for sure. this has been debated for as long as the subject exists, people have lived and died with no rapture. jesus is coming allright. if you are depending on jesus to come for you, it may be in death. that is all.

The churches I have attended are full of hate filled Christians. As a new Christian I was being poisoned, so I chose to leave and not to go back. Believe on Jesus and be filled with hatred and non-repentence, and you think you are going to heaven?! Even as I fail often, I will continue to strive for the narrow gate. Why? I love Jesus and I know how to work out my own salvation with fear and trembling.

Yes you are right, why only 1% because people do not repent of all their sins. The devil has been active to fool people. First what is sin? The bible says in 1 john 3:4 ...for sin is the transgression of the law." All sin is transgression of the law, so then look at the law to examin your life. The law in itself cannot save you it is the grace of God that saves. The law defines what sin is so all better look at the fourth commandment more closely. Only few find all the truth because they look!

You are correct about the church - too much churchianity and too little minute by mintue reliance on Christ. .and I was also alarmed to find out when I went to Japan last year that Less than 1 percent of the Japanese population are 'in Christ'(!!)

@hiyosilver100 On the bright side I did read recently of the truly heroic Japanese martyrs of the 17th century - some of whom included females. The bravery of those women make most of today's 'christian men' look like Pussycats. .Some of them werent even married - and were prepared to give up a life of marriage and children etc - they remained faithful even onto death(!!) I'm Really REALLY looking forward to meeting the Japanese martyrs on the Day the Messiah Returns!!
