The volume pedal u got to go in and carve out for it to sound good. Morley screwed up on these pedals. 0-5 is nothing almost when u get to 10 boom. It's wide open. U got to go in and take a screwdriver and carve it out so when u push down it gets louder. It's a good pedal just it's got to have that done first. Don't use ur stupid volume knob or ur tone is distroyed lol.
Your vid. is very helpful, clear and informative. I did not know about optical sensors. Good idea. I'm off to the shops to buy one!
Thanks for taking the trouble to use English here. It is an accident of history that so many people have to speak my language as an international language. But I guess we all speak American Blues through our guitars ; ).... the first language of popular music, and for good reasons too! Ah! The 'Blue Note'!
I ran it through the regular input - The amp doesn't have an effects loop. This can also be noticed by the natural cleaning of the sound when using the volume pedal. And I didn't use any other pedals - Otherwise I would have indicated so in this video.
If I put this through the effects loop, then it'll just act like a volume boost right? it would be like the volume knob on a guitar where it will lose gain? and what is the difference between this and the morley volume plus?
You have to understand the meaning of the order of the pedals to figure these out. A volume pedal does exactly what the name implies: It limits the amout of stuff coming through it. If you put it BEFORE a distortion, the amount that the distortion distorts will be lower and thus it will be cleaner - but if you put it after a distortion, the distortion will put 100% distortion to it and after that the volume pedal will cut that, only affecting the volume of the distorted sound.
... so, if you put it through an effects loop (towards the end of the effects chain) it ill affect the overall volume, but not the effects. So: In summary:
- BEFORE other effects : affects effects and possibly volume (same that of the guitar's volume knob)
- AFTER other effects : affects only the general volume of the amp (or whatever)
AND: I am not familiar with the Morley Volume Plus, but after a quick lookup it seems that the two would be quite similar.
Thanks for the vid. Is a BOSS daisy chain power supply compatible with the Alligator? I have an extra Boss plug in my pedal board and wonder if it's the same size & would fit in the adapter socket of the Alligator? thanks
I'm not familiar with the product you described, however the power supply hole in this pedal is slight larger than of Boss pedals. So I believe the answer is, no. The hole here is, if I recall correctly, the same size with my Dunlop CryBaby wah
Just disliking sun videoita :D:D

Well, obviously, I haven't had it for very long yet. Seems to be good, though.

Why does Steve Vai has his own signature volume pedal?
Just switches the volume on and of.

did you run this through the effects loop of your amp or just the regular input? and did you run this with any other pedal?
