i'll never forget the sound of starting those old Mopars .. the starter turns at approx 27,900 RPM's ngtyngtyngtyngty then the engine starts at 500 RPM's wathump.. whathump blum blum blum .. haha
@Guitargod130 Go and apply the peddal to the metal on a real V8 Mopar and you shall come to know the true meaning of a popcorn machine on 1% nitromethane!!!
Did you cry? :) kidding, Thats a nice cuda, I couldnt ever sell my 67 mustang fastback no matter what, not even If I lost my house and that was my only way to make a payment, I would live in it haha, You probably have more mopars though If you can let one like that go.
WOW ...this brings back GOOD memories !..in 1978 I bought a 1971 340 4 speed Cuda and I can NOT remember how much I paid for it. ....I LOVE these Mopars!
possibly the best lookin car ever made, maybe in orange or another color, 71 cuda, beautiful, i love my puurple 67 an is for sale, need the bucks, old , an dont race no more, too far to track, too expensive,,
@camirocz Funny you mention... "stalling when driving thru a puddle"... that was a serious problem back when all cars had points and a condenser. Care to take a guess which major automotive manufacturer invented electronic ignition and was the First to make it standard equipment in 1971? Yep...Chrysler.
@label1877 Are you aware that chrysler cars of that era were the worse handling and braking of the big three?Do not dare compare a 1970 trans am to a boat like a cuda or challenger, yes the mopars are woth big bcucks because less were produced but they were certainly not leaders in terms of overall performance.A 1971 455h.o trans am can corner with most of todays sports cars add some 18 inch wheels and it will pull .87 or.88 on a skid pad now thats impressive.
Can you tell me what size cam you had in that 340, lift and duration, im installing a lunati in mine 518-540 lift and 306-316 duration, man that hits hard and sounds great thxs
How could you bear to part with that awesome machine man ? You must have been paid a lot of money dude !

not my wifes 72 cuda it handles great with mid 70's F150 front shocks and 235 70's 14 tires the bi plane handles well but it won't winn any war.
