  • What type of material would you recommend using?

  • How do you wrap it like the second guy the one with teh black one?

  • Which method would be the most secured? I am thinking if you hang upside down, which method will hold it most in place?

  • BUT WE DON'T DRESS LIKE THAT IN OUR NORMALE LIVE

  • @kelissosowa whose normal live?

  • is it true moroccan turbans are for protection and to keep sand out of your hair and stuff like that

  • it sounds like the moroccan guy says his shesh is 7 meters. or did i hear that wrong cuz my french is pretty terrible...

  • @CouteauDeBoucher

Close enough. The guy said "six mètres", which is six meters, but his pronunciation sounded almost like /sɛmɛtχ/ (sèmètre), which is very close to /sɛtmɛtχ/, which is the pronunciation of "sept mètres".

  • can someone tell me the name of the robe in black color that guy wearing in the beginning of this video. i like that tradtional robe with the hood. i wish to buy it !!

  • @virginboy83 Its called ''Kaftan''

  • @virginboy83 It's a djellaba - check out shop morocco web site - search it and you'll find it.

  • I love your videos. Keep up the good work. I do not understand your language, but thats okay.

  • @katyaziz yeah that is true u were the 'in habitants' of north africa and of the atlas mountains, and that princess who held off arab hordes for 20 years, however the amazigh have european,greek/phonecian ancestors and 'some' berbers/tauregs light and dark skinned are the origional inhabitants through and through.but the white berbers arnt, sorry.

  • @msarabiaan the original moors the taureg the true inhabitants of north africa.the sub saharan brother and sisters who ruled the whole of africa.

  • i went to mooroco is a beuiful landscape , the caves are awsome and the cities are bustling

  • lol

  • Arabs and africans have extremely close roots, including berbers. As the sahara's lush forests dried into deserts, people moved towards egypt (the nile), and their skin slowly lightened. They then move into the arab peninsula, and they lightened some more (over thousands of years of course).

But yeah, contemporary morocco isn't arab...

  • dude this swag...i'm getting me a moroccan shesh this is so unique and cool..like this could be my turban swag

  • Arabic countrys are located in arabie, Morocco is located in north africa so its not an arab country! Because they speak arab does not mean they are arabs. Allot of countrys in south America speak spanish but that doesnt make them spanish;)

  • @SaidSallam

Interesting opinion. Would you consider Egyptians and Syrians Arabs?

  • Bien!

  • @zakidine

    @zakidine

    [Allah♥][Al watan♥][Al malik♥]

    Very interesting video.. Wonderful.

some they have never been at school they speak 5 languages.

    they speak French here !

  • Thats awesome!

I was sitting here like, arabs, french? lol

  • But Morocco is not an Arab country, we Moroccans,we are Berbers ( Amazighan people ) Amzigham means free man !

we understand arabic, but we have our pretty mother language TAMAZIGHT ,Berber language of North Africa.

    Take care.

  • I might look into that

  • but the majority are arab berber

    arabs mixed with berbers

but yes you are right, it is berber land and the same goes with Algeria and Tunisia

  • Which Arab you are talking about /

    The people are ARABOPHONE !

We are muslim, we are Arabized by language not by blood !

the leaders changed and falsified the real history,

do you think, the governments will say the truth?

it is a big secret and issue !

    khalik hadak jmal ragad !

    peace love.

  • but i am saying

the chances of you having arab blood is quite high.

my dad told me this long story

but his mums side are Reefi and i think we have a little bit of berber well my cousins dad (not blood uncle) well he is originates from one of the tribes, cant remember name though.

But my dads dad side have arab, we orignate from middle east but this is generations ago.

  • My dad said from our family tree we are apparantly related to Shitte prophet Ali.

But what i am trying to say

Moroccans are originally Berber which is true but Arabs settled in morocco for ages and people now are known as arab-berber

  • @katyaziz what secret and what issue ....if u have a problem of being partly arab then this is the real issue...! the moroccan race is in fact arab+bereber...!!!! u go and study our own history , and by the way i am moroccan like you ....!

  • Really, study our history, wallah yahdi ma khlak !

    wallah ydina f dou.

brain-washing from the Fassi families was perfect ! if we are partly Arabs, why not partly jews,French,Spanish, german and so on... you got it homie !

it's a big political game. kadia fiha masslaha ma3a ashikaa fi khalij, gas....

    On des marocains ?

  • wallah idina wi jibna f do !! makain la brain washing la walo..........look up "taghribat bani hilal" o ghada t3erfi kifach weslo l3reb lmeghrib and how they got mixed to the berbers of (morocco, algeria, tunisia, libya, mauritania, even to sudan, somalia )

As moroccan people we're proud to be araboberber..! had lmerd dial ana chel7 hada 3robi, ola fassi ola rifi, is just he result of the zionist afliction ;) to keep people always separated and in constant conflict !!!!!

  • @katyaziz

morocco "is" an Arab country, dont make me laugh

  • @zakidine

    but their not arabs.

Mexico is Spanish country. and chile. but not Spaniards

  • @KrissWalterK0vacs

There's more Arabs than Berbers in morocco ^^

Maybe You just Don't love Arabs, then you Can say it,

Morrocan people are arabs and muslims !!!!

  • Comment removed

  • There's Arabs And Berbers in Morocco, don't make me laugh, i am Moroccan and deffinitly not berber !

  • @katyaziz No baby, marroco is arab country, rift is diferent territory and now is marrococ also! I am tamasugh and i am proud...Free Rift

  • @katyaziz Marroc is arab country...rift no! but marroc yes...and now rift is marroc also

    I am tamazight bro! :D

  • @MsArabiaan have you heard of the original moors?..they fought beside the arabs in spain..they were of really dark dark skin but kin features?..

  • @katyaziz Today being Arab is above all a cultural and linguistic fact. Most of Moroccans (about 60%) speak Arabic and are culturally Arabs, therefore they are Arabs, although only a minority is racially Arab (between 5% and 15%, it is hard to know exactly). It is almost the same in most of other Arabian countries like Egypt (the majority of today's Egyptians are not Arabs, but descendant of the ancient Egyptians), Algeria, Syria, etc. Only people of the Arabian peninsula are almost 100% Arabs.

  • @Almanzzor really? Would you say that all Americans (including African Americans, Asian Americans, Jewish/Arab.. whatever origin) that speak English as their first language are really just Anglo-Saxons?

Tunisians- we speak Arabic, but we have Berber and Carthaginian origins.

  • @iuoalasirah Culturally yes. All the more as only a few white Americans are "real" Anglo-Saxons... And even in England most of people aren't racially Anglo-Saxons but Celtic. Being is close to being Arab actually (I mean it's above all cultural today in both case), but it doesn't work that way with other groups such as Jews, Chinese Hans, etc.

Racially, Tunisia is above all Berber and Arab according to genetical studies. Some studies even claim that Arabs form the majority but I doubt it is true

  • @katyaziz But racially yes, Morocco is with Egypt one of the less Arab of the Arabian countries.

  • @katyaziz what are you saying im arabic moroccan and morocco its arabic country

  • very nice :)

  • they probably mentioned it in the video, but i don't speak french, so how many yards of the blue does one need to rap it around the head?

  • In the second part, the Moroccan man says his shesh is made from a piece of cloth 6 metres long - that is roughly 6 yards (wrapped 3 times around his head) :)

  • Where can i buy one of these? i live in england, and stupidly i dident buy one on my holiday to marrakech.

    Thanks,

    Minty.

  • Peace and Tolerance.

  • w-Allāh /wala -> wole/ = "por Allah!"

    OLÉ¡!!

    Holé¡!!!

  • what are you talking about?

  • He looks like Lawrence of Arabia style!

  • Haha yep. Lawrence of Arabia. Exactly my thought. Now I really want to go to Morocco.

  • How to tie a Ghutra Omani and UAE style? Missar is what it's called.

  • thanks

  • stylé comment il fait!

  • what's the proper size of a touareg turban. I want to make one for me and buy the fabric.

  • Traditional turbans are about five meters long, and about a half meter in width. Toureg and Berber styles turbans are about one and a half meters in width.
