LOvele55XKuNx3 is correct, they do say the name with the same sort of sound as in deer. It is FROM a German word, but the band is Japanese, and therefore they pronounce it as any Japanese person would pronounce the letter i.They also tend to tack on a u sound at the end of it, again a Japanese pronunciation trait, which is why fans tend to shorten the band name to the nick "Diru."
