Of course a soldier has a choice and its obvious that most people that do enlist have a very poor grasp of American history. Since WW2 the US has not engaged in any legal wars - all of them have basically been invading a poor country for no good reason.

My dad was in the army and was sent to Bosnia when I was 8. I remember missing him so much and how hard it was on my mom to be without him. I felt just like this boy when my dad came home. God bless you troops. You're what makes this country great.

I just can't help but wonder what the opposite would be for the kids that are told that their dad is NEVER coming back from this war. A video of that experience would open a lot of eyes. I found this hard to watch without crying , and the soldier "lived" , imagine the heartbreak if he died. I feel so sorry for the families of the fallen soldiers.
