Maybe you should put more emotion into it, it sounds more like a recital than a song. But what a wonderful country you live in (where I live, the terrain is flat and all is concrete). Could you provide a translation of the lyrics, maybe?
Its hard to translate because its kind of old norwegian but i will try: Between hills and rocks out with the sea, raise the norwegian fascinated his home, where he dug his "hills", He places his house upon them. He looked at the rocky beaches there was none, as there had lived. "Lets clean and build us hamlets, and so we own the *?rudningen?* safe ". He looked at the rough sea; there was hard make sail; but fish was playing in the sea, and the game, he wanted to see.
In the winter he seldom thought
If only I were here forever
And when the northern lights shines from above
His steelheart is filled with grusome longing"
....eeehh, this verse doesn't exist!

When the vintertime came, he thought:
If I was in a warmer country!
But when the springsun in the hills was shining,
He got "love" for his domestic beach.
The last verse i cant translate because there is no way i will find matching words in english =/
I used the google translatin tool, so some of the words may be wrong, and i really dont know what "rudningen" means.

it's more like a nationalistic poem.. it's already translated, and it's more accurate, read the info.
