I just listened to this song for the first time. It reminded me of what I went through in high school. I always followed my heart, I soon learned that I had no control over how people viewed me. I thought if I were a good person then that's all that mattered. I can change my behavior I can not change being black. I was never able to have an open relationship. It has disrupted natures course and I have been lost for some time now. I love who I love. Period. 46yrs old and still not married.
