  • Why the hell someone want to see a cockroach in HD?

  • as a kid , i grow up playing hide n' seek with these things

  • @mrgenius4 haha forever alone

    not trying to be mean

  • these cockroaches remind me of the fat lazy guy sittin in a recliner eating bean dip, of the roach population...

  • OMGGG YUKKKKKK DO U REALISE WHAT U AHVE JUST TOUCHED :O

  • i have those as pets

  • kinda curious... what's the hissing roach diet?

small cuts of fruits? beans? leaves?

  • @kus2ganteng I belive that all of those things are good to feed them - most any fruits and vegetables should be good so far as I know...

  • These bugs get a bad rap from all the horror movies they are used in

  • hey look! KEN THE BUG GUY IS THERE!

  • Welcome...... to ROACHASSIC PARK!

  • Man imagine burning them all that would be joyful

  • someone - what kind of pet do you have?

    You - A cockroach

  • That's great, please let me know when you have done it & I will let the schools in New Zealand know about it. Thank you.

    Cheers

    Rodger

  • Cockroaches that have been found frozen in solid ice have the ability to crawl away and continue their lives as if nothing has happened when the Sun melts the ice away. I've done this experiment and learned the above is true. It would be interesting to have this experiment done on YouTube for school students to observe.

  • @rjbodle If I get a chance to, I just might do that. =) Cheers!

  • they look cute but not discusting like

  • @wesquivel1 It's funny that if you keep their cages clean, they aren't any more "dirty" than a hamster or other commonly kept pet... roaches just have a bad rep because of their house swarming cousins XD Thanks for visiting! =)

  • @jcmegabyte

hello my friend. i'm wondering if these roaches have that smell that is so particular of the common roaches out there? i think these are cute but i can't possibly have insects as pets.

  • @832existentialiste I didn't notice any smell at all while handling these guys. From what I've heard, the only time there is any significant smell associated with them is when their owners don't keep their cages clean. Usually, smells come from old bedding material/fodder used in the cage, or from the food that they are fed - especially if it's any older than a day or two. Excessive moisture will also help make bad oders, so keeping the cage dry and well ventilated is essential. :-)

  • Wow, at 1:12 did the cockroaches actually use teamwork to get out of there? :O

  • @TheDarkMustang I've heard that they are relatively smart as bugs go, but I think that in this case they are simply climbing all over whatever gets in their way to get where they're trying to go! XD

  • I'm getting two of these motherfuckers :D

  • RADROACHES!

  • i have a small colony of these guys

  • oh my Gooooooood I love this song

  • Thanks so much for visiting =) Glad you liked the track, too!

  • they're cockroaches... FUCKING KILL EM!!

  • thats fucking sick

  • DIOS ES AMOR

PADRE, PERDONA LA TRANSGRESIÓN DE MI ENERGÍA

    YO SOY AMOR ETERNO

    YO SOY LUZ ETERNA

YO SOY UN SER DE FUEGO VIOLETA

  • strait outta hell

  • RAIIIIIIID!

  • WHERE IS MY CAN OF RAID????? SO I CAN SPRAY THIS NASTY BITCHES TO DEATH............

  • Their not as bad as people make out ! I can think of much more scary creatures !

  • pretty cute actually

  • Seems like a LOT of people thought so too - they were quite popular to play with! =)

  • BURN!

  • Tyler the creator got hungry watching this

  • "Yes, you can touch!" No thanks! ;-)

  • "yes you can touch ! hold me !" xD

  • ...and a LOT of people did! XD

  • @JCMDIweirdStuff

    i would have too : ]

got a small b. dubia colony so im not rly scared :D

their behaviour is actually rly cute

  • I need help making a roach trap, I dont have any petroleum jelly, my mom is retarded and doesnt want to bother buying spray or a trap so I have to do it on my own, what can you recommend? Im currently putting water in a beer glass and some bread , and coating most of the inside with apricot jelly,

  • Are you trying to catch them alive, or kill them off? Boric acid powder is a safe and cheap way to kill them. Works great for ants, too. For live capture, a slippery-sided container with bait inside is your best bet. You'll need a shallow-sloped ramp on the outside so the bugs can easily climb up and fall in to the trap, and steep (or vertical), slippery walls on the inside to prevent traction and escape. Some dark places/things to hide under inside the trap will help keep them in, too.

  • @jcmegabyte I wanna get rid of them any way I can, so the jar thing how do i make it slippery, and i put it up against a wall instead of ramp I dont think it will be much of a difference. So how does boric acid powder work. Oh btw i have 2 cats, they dont help much its like they are completely uninterested in cockroaches. so i need maybe non toxic?

  • Boric acid is essentially non-toxic to people and larger animals (in small quantities), and pretty cheap. You can just sprinkle it into cracks and under things where the roaches walk around but where your pets can't get to it. They get it on them and end up eating it while cleaning themselves and such, and even take some of it back to the rest of colony and take them out as well. Making a bait container/trap could be tricky - you would need to experiment a bit to come up with something... :-)

  • @jcmegabyte alright well thanks , i think i might need a bigger jar, the one i have setup is a beer glass, but oh well lol none so far, the thing is. this morning I opened by cubbard door to get the bag of cat food, and when I was emptying some into the bowl like 4 roaches came running out, so i tried to kill some, i managed to kill 1. Im not sure where their colony is, but im guessing in the cubbard?

  • I'm not much of a roach or exterminating expert, but I'd guess they'd most likely hide in walls and other dark, hard to reach places where you can't hardy get to them.

  • @JCMDIweirdStuff, What type of temp and humidity do you keep your roaches in?

  • I dont actually own any of these myself - they were filmed at the LANHM Insect Fair, but I get the impression that normal room temperature and humidity are just fine for them... Roaches are pretty hearty and should be able to handle just about anything we can. The most important thing is to keep the cages clean and well ventilated so the there's no chance of condensation happening inside :-)

  • @sdegroot1 considering madagascar is a trpoical island i'd say probably 80-100 (really 100 may be too much) degrees farenheit and probably the same humidity you would use for a emperor scorpion (this is just me guessing just google "madagascar hissing cockroach care sheet"

  • most thing that i hate is justin beaver and Cockroaches! YUK!!!!

  • 1:07-1:08 wow who wants to toucha roach..

    hahahhaah!!

  • @Cun1t123 Negative they cant fly they don't have wings.

  • who else felt it on you? o_o

  • i have a few of these awsome things myself =D...its a small colony but it's still growing =)

  • ...just don't let any of them escape, or your colony might get larger than you'd like! XD Thanks for stopping by =)

  • they look like giant roly polys :D

  • Yea, they kinda do except that they can't roll themselves up into a ball... at least I don't THINK they can! XD Thanks so much for visiting =)

  • I always wondered if they would start breeding and take over a whole house if they ever got loose! XD On the bright side, you can probably sell any that you catch! =)

  • @JCMDIweirdStuff or u gotta get ur house sprayed to kill em happened to my friend and his mom is so scared of bugs so i had to be done hahahahaha and only 1 got loose lmfao

  • ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!

  • i freaking hate roaches lol

  • sdfgh Staring at it makes me squirm

  • they dont stink :)

  • My dad just came home with one for me. They're really cool pets!

  • these aren't roaches, they look like some kind of louse

  • "Yes, you can touch. Hold me. :)"

I lol so hard at the sign

  • It was pretty amusing - and people did just that... Laughed a bit at first, and then dug right in to them roaches! XD

  • I WANT ONE !

  • I do beliee that KenTheBugGuy sells them via mail =) Cheers!

  • @JCMDIweirdStuff

my parents wont like em :( , im the only one in the family that likes bugs .. =/

  • My balls started itching when it showed the first cockroach get it COCKroach

  • Get the Fukken raid.awwwww!!!!!!!

  • Eww! Those things are nasty!

  • They do have a pretty bad reputation for living in dirty places, but like any pet, they are really no more dirty or smelly than a cat or dog so long as their living areas are kept clean. Still, they aren't quite as fuzzy and cuddly as a puppy or kitten, and the extra legs do tend to freak out some people too! XD Anyway, thanks for stopping by! =)

  • @JCMDIweirdStuff THEY MAKE MY BALLS CRINGE!!!

  • those things are cool but they stink

  • I didn't notice any smell from these guys, but then I didn't put my nose right down in them, either! XD From what I've heard from their owners, they shouldn't have any more oder than typical housepets like a cat, dog, bird, etc... *IF* you keep their cage clean. Of course, your milage may vary... =)

  • @JCMDIweirdStuff You are correct. I own several hissers myself and they do not have any offensive odors.

  • Once I was in my room sleeping and then a giant green metallic cockroach climbed in my bed and on to my NECk, so I grabbed a can of wd40 and a lighter an turned on the lighter and sprayed it, like a blow torch and burned the shit outta that thing.

  • @Desincopuration lol one was almost in my ear but i killed it

  • wow i didn't know the regular show was out in 2009 i thought that was made in 2010

  • This last show was the L.A. Museum's 25th (annual) show... I've been going since 2006 :-)

  • i just slapped the sh*t outta my neck while watching this! i hate all roaches bugs etc

  • i'am trying to watch this so i can get rid of my fear of these fuckers ! so far not working FML.

  • holy crap! kill it with fire!

  • I love the note : "Yes, you can touch ! Hold me :)" Who the FUCK on earth would hold a cockroach

  • The variety of poeple waiting in line to grab some fresh roach was pretty amazing... The kids were all over them, while many pf the older visitors took it more as a challenge just to touch one! XD

  • JESUS. As neat as those things look, i had no idea they got that big... I'll never complain about ants or spiders in my home again.

  • Odds are good that you would never find one of these roaming around your house unless you happened to live in Madegascar... either that, or had some neighbors that had kept them as pets and let them escape! XD It does make me wonder though - now that these guys are in the country and people are raising them as pets, could escaped individuals start wild populations and eventually become an established wild/introduced species in the US and other countries? :-/

  • My dad gave me a bb gun and I shot like infinite of those in vault 101!!!

  • @supahfly55

ahaha I m playing that game right now! Hell yeal! Kill those fuckers:)

  • am i the only one who got sick watching this ??????? i get the heeeebbbeeeeee geeeebbbeeezzz yuckkkk

  • Lol at "yes! you can touch! hold me:)"

  • ...and a LOT of people did just that =) Thanks for checking it out!

  • 0:52 - "I'm almost out, I'm almost free----- Yaaargh noo!!!"

  • There is no escape! XD ...actually, I think all they really wanted was a dark place to hide and they would have been quite happy to stay in the box :-)

  • XD these bugs are pretty fun

  • They were pretty friendly, and everyone did seem to be having a good time with them =) Thanks for checking it out!

  • There is an insect fair? This world is becoming weirder by the day

  • If you look hard enough, I bet you could find a fair, convention or enthusiast groups for just about anything :-)

  • Call the Men in Black

  • "Looks like you got a roach problem" XD Might be a little overkill to turn the moisy cricket loose on these guys though! =)

  • my tokay gecko love to meet these guy

  • It would be quite a banquet, I'd bet! XD

  • just think about bringin it home to yo wife X D

  • "Look what I got you for our anniversary".... XD

  • I hate roaches but I kinda want one. It will probobly freak the crap out of me thou : )

  • For some odd reason, most people seem to feel differently about these large, pet roaches vs. the smaller kind that infest some peoples' houses. I would definitely STOMP the house kind XD

  • @jcmegabyte

That's because they're totally different. These big ones are clean, long-lived, placid, friendly, and only eat what you give them :)

  • next time there is another one of those expo's I'm going blow that place up and all the insects will be free to conquer the world..

  • they seem harmless and peaceful...

  • That's the impression I got from them, too. No biting, no smells, just kinda wandered around being mellow. =)

  • @cursingsailors They are. They're amazing animals if you can get past the gross-out factor that everyone seems to have... lol

  • lol thye only cockroach i know that actualy lives in the wild and not in jo food XD

  • It does seem like most of them are living with people now - probably becuase the food is much better than in the wild! XD

  • I think these insects are really cool on TV or on the Computer, but if I see one in real life I would die...

  • chh i can bu 2 of these for 2.50 each. 6 for 11 bucks at the zoo|)

  • These are getting pretty common in a lot of pet stores and such, and they breed like, well, roaches! XD

  • @JCMDIweirdStuff i have one girl with a bunch of boys n i dont see any babies but um is it weird for them to eat eachother...? one just molted and i guess he doesnt like the potato chip i gaave him.

  • I think it's unusual for them to eat their buddies unless they're really starving.. However, they are very vulnerable when they molt, and might be a LOT more tempting to nibble on! XD Try giving them fruit or something juicy and see if they'd rather eat that than each other...

  • @JCMDIweirdStuff ya lol the one that ate them is my deformed one, he was born with one antennae crud idk if i spelled that right?

  • Maybe the deformed ones are a little deviant in their dietary tastes too! XD ...although it's not uncommon for insects to be cannabals. Latin is a funny language.. "antenna" is singular where "antennae" is plural. :-) Cheers!

  • @TheRosesBlood Check to make sure your temperature is between 75-90 degrees F and your humidity about 80%. You want a high humidity, especially when during the molting stage. And make sure your roaches have enough high protein food available, otherwise they may start cannibalizing each other.

  • i will put them in a bathtub and put water so it could swim like fifi if it dosent ill burn it and give it shit

  • @TheDownAndOutKS THanks that's nice. And yea I'm a little weird.

  • ughhh im getting nerves just watching this

  • These aren't exactly great housepets for everyone XD Thanks for checking it out!

  • @argumentsucks same

  • how come they dont fly away?

  • I don't think this species can fly... I think that most Roach species can't, but I'm not sure (I'm more of a Lepidoptera guy, myself!) :-) Thanks for checking it out! =)

  • ahh i hate roaches :(

  • These probably aren't the best pets for most people XD

  • @kjcmw1 ahh i hate prank calls

  • aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah that killed the crap out of me

  • Ya want some damn cockroaches, come by my house and you can get them for free... shoot. Why pay?

  • If you have REALLY big ones like these, I'm sure you could make some money selling them! XD

  • most disgusting creatures ever

  • man, i will eat ALL those motherfuckers on bread with peanut butter

  • They are said to be quite nutritious but I don't think most people could get over the "YUCK" factor! XD

  • @JcmdiStockFootage when i moved to south texas i made a point to desensify myself to the tree roaches. I would capture everyone i found in my apt, put it in an empty fishtank and just kinda treat em like pets. sit there and watch em, talk to em. and it worked, they really dont scare me at all anymore. They're just like small dogs, they eat everything...shit everywhere...mildly intelligent. Yeah .. dogs

  • If that thing come by my house I kill it

    damn nature you scary

  • i like trains.

  • @zerik12 SMASH!

  • No hissing from the giant cockroach, just crappy techno music.

  • Aw. I thought I was going to see cockroaches hiss.

  • I had hoped to get the hissing on film too but they were just too darned friendly! XD Thanks for stopping by =)

  • Talk about Rad Roaches...lol

  • They're certainly huge anyway! Thanks for checking it out :-)

  • @eRazeUSA I need a flamer like now! xD

  • Aww.... Somebody should've pissed 'em off so they'd hiss for the camera...

  • I did hear them hiss a couple of times while some kids were messing with them but they stopped as soon as I started filming! XD Maybe they were camera shy or something... Thanks for stopping by!

  • You BUY roaches and take them HOME!!????

    Jeez...

  • ...while everyone else is calling the Orkin man! XD

  • Why Cockroach!!? there are many of insects that's cooler than this!!

  • Does make you wonder... maybe it's the "euw" factor! XD

  • they didnt hiss :(

  • I know - I was dissappointed that they didn't want to make any sounds while I was filming them... Apparently they were so used to being handled that they didn't feel threatened enough to make the hissing defensive sounds. Thanks for watching anyway! =)

  • @jcmegabyte ya they didn't hiss for the same reason at my local museum

  • AHH OMG I PUKED THIS IS SO SCARY!

  • yuckH--!!

  • EWWW

  • Yea, they're not exactly the pets for everyone! XD Thanks for checking it out!

  • what did i just watch?...

  • 1:06 it says on the box YES YOU CAN HOLD ME :)

  • Yep! ...and a LOT of people did just that (including me!) :-)

  • @falconpawnchful my fist want to meet your face,

    @IMStazPro lets kill you instead

@shadysebaai i would never keep you in a cage cause your the ugliest pet on the planet.
