That future Sylar WAS a former serial killer. He fought back against his urges for the sake of his son, Noah Gray. He used Noah as an anchor against the pull of the Hunger, and when Knox killed him, all the pent-up tension inside just - exploded outward. He went berserk.

It's funny, after watching him kill ruthlessly for the first half of the video, I still nearly teared up at 2:20 in the scene with his kid. That scene was so sad... it's amazing that even a former serial killer (well, formerly former) can evoke so much sympathy.

One day Sylar will die. It is inevitable, since he is afraid of dying. That is why he got Claie's ability in the first place.
